Property Ratings at The Clara
My experience over all was disappointed! The same day I was moving in my second vehicle that was on the lease was getting towed. It was then that I was advised about the parqking lease that we had to have although; the app only let me put one vehicle down. the code that I was given on the forum was invalid. I had to pay $240 to get my vehicle out of the towing lot aside from paying the guest fee for 12 hours to park my vehicle overnight till I had to speak to the leasing office. Still nothing has been done about the situation of the payment of the vehicle.
Put in a request to fix my sink(which I could do myself) back in June when I first moved in. It is now November with a second request, and I got an email while I was in a 24 hour shift which it said it was fixed. I come home to it still not being fixed.
Place is a dumpster; dog crap everywhere that makes everything stink horribly and brings flies and mosquitos year round, unsafe environment from theft and assault, amenities are mediocre and constantly broken, maintenance team that doesn’t know how to fix anything, and a useless management team that is unhelpful, unknowledgeable, and slow to react to any situation. They tow everyone and will cost you hundreds extra. All around, grotesque. 0/5 stars
do not move here I'm not worth all of the trouble and all of the money that you have to pay roach infested you and your visitors have to pay for parking, they do nothing about noise complaints.just dont do it.

Have sent many many texts, emails, phone messages, and letters trying to find out what I owed ater moving out with no answer. After I finally got a bill after two months later, I got a bill collection notice a week after that with a threat to ruin my credit! They had already cashed my check! Also they have never explained why my water bill averaging 25 monthly went to 150 for the last month. Nor will they return my requests to discuss any of the strange items in the final bill. I always paid my rent early for the 5 years I was there. Ignored years of requests to repair a door that fell off.

If it's not the electricity going out it's the water going out for hours at a time especially on holidays and summer..the walls are paper thin and u can hear neighbors on a daily basis..apt windows are not insulated ..apts have a rat and roach infestation..waterfalls fall from inside the windows that have been fixed a million times..entry gates entry always broken and mailboxes are broken into weekly..not a place for kids they have a dog park instead of a place for children to play..most outdoor security lights are out and garbage bins flow over and spill out to the driveways..very unfavorable place to have lived in

To whom this review may help, My first impressions of the management have been beyond expectations. They accommodated my needs and special requests when they were not obligated to do so. I appreciate the extra effort made by both Breanna and Jackie. The apartment was just as advertised and was ready for move in. In all, my experience with the Pointe at Ramsgate has been great and I'm glad I chose here to live.
I would never write a bad review on something unless I feel completely necessary. These apartments are horrible, maintenance does not keep up with anything unless complained on. We pay for pest control and our apartment has roaches non stop every morning I wake up with 5 new roaches and we are very clean tidy people. I have never seen them come in to spray like they claim they do. The dumpster is piled up with atleast 30 trash bags outside the dumpster. Everything inside my apartment is falling apart. The paint in my bath tub is coming off. My parents house key unlocks MY APARTMENT door. The people in the office are rude except for Brianna she is nice and helpful. I wish I could have never moved in here they are completely and utterly disgusting. The people they let live here are even worse. Please please do not move in here it is a disaster since the day we moved in!!!!!!
I hope this helps people looking for apartments and maybe the management at The Pointe also. Now on to things that really need to improve. And I am not looking for a response saying that The Pointe is sorry and etc, I'm looking for change to be made. Because now is a deciding point where I want to live next year and as of now it would for sure not be here. 1. I'm not one to write reviews, but I am pushed to that point today because we are going on 17 HOURS with no electricity. And this is not the first time we have gone without electricity for a period of time. The electricity went out at midnight last night. Which brings me to my next point, that say they have 24 hour emergency maintenence. But no one knows the number, proably because it doesn't really exist. Also their voicemail box is always full, manager does not check them obviously. Also I know how these things work, coming from a family with a parent as a property manager for apartments. So first, no electricity, no one to reach them after hours to let them know it was out, and now still hasn't been fixed. Not the first time. Also, the ladies in the office told me there was no plan of any concessions to come for all our lost food. I have pictures and videos of most of my food all gone bad. Despite the ladies in the office getting an attitude with me, saying my food should be okay for 24 hours if I didn't open my fridge. Come on guys we know that's not true, and impossible to not open out fridge. I am very unhappy and plan to reach out to the real people in charge. Next, bugs. I find my self killing bugs\roaches daily. And I have never seen anyone come and spray, yet it says we pay for that monthly. We have a clean apartment, and that doesn't matter. They really need to start having people come and spray.. for real. Also, if you like not having your water turned off at random times, and them not telling you it's off or why it's off, come on in. The no warning is the worst part. They just don't seem very organized, and excited about their job here. That's where I will leave it. If you are thinking about living here, it is decent rent prices and could be worse but think about this things they matter. If you work here, please just work a little harder, or do something else as a job.
There are flea and roach problems; we have had the exterminator out twice for fleas already. We moved in on May 29th 2015 and it was horrible. No one had cleaned the apt. it was dirty and our dishwasher was full of mold. Since then we have had many problems with the apts. and Management is the worst, they do not enter your payment for rent until they return to work and than try to charge you late fees on a rent you turned in on time. Their maintenance work is mediocre, and I will not be leasing with them again. I DO NOT recommend this apt. specially to people with children.
Two pools, great neighborhood and great places nearby
living at la jolla apartments has been the best experience for me. the location and the amenities are great. the greatest assett of all is the employees and administration. the maintence team is professional and prompt. the office staff is always helpful and informative, and administration, and all the employees here are very friendly.
