Property Ratings at The Club At Town Center
The on site maintenance is good. They don’t waste time fixing things when they are broken. My AC went out and it was fixed in less than 2 days. ( they recharged the unit to get me by) I wish they had a park for kids to play in. Appliances feel outdated in my opinion. For a luxury style apartment it would be nice to have an icebox, better dishwasher and oven at least. It’s in an area where everything is pretty close and convenient but it’s still a quiet neighborhood. One thing that was cool is usually every month or so they will have a party or food in the office for residents to grab, which I haven’t seen much places do. In July they had a DJ with music, food, some alcohol for adults. It was pretty cool! I’m being nit-picky but the sidewalks are very dirty and need pressure-washed. There’s always evasive ducks around, so it gets dirty.

Hi, User. Wow! Thank you so much for the feedback! We appreciate your trust in providing you with a home that you love!
Awful apartments. So gross. Please do not live here. So much sketchy stuff going on all the time

Hi User, unfortunately, we can not search your name in our Resident or Prospective Resident database. We would love to make an appointment to discuss your concerns. We are proud of our community and our customer service. When you are available to give us a call, our phone number (904)642-6045.
It's often homeless who will be sifting through our dumpsters. One was even walking around swinging a baseball bat the other night. My apartment was broken into 8 months ago, and since then I have been insistent on always being at home when maintenance arrives. The main office and as well as maintenance are not accomodating. Maintenance will not let you know when they are coming, yet the option to schedule an appointment is on their resident portal. Maintenance requests will get marked as completed yet no one will call or even show up and nothing was fixed. It is highly unlikely you will get a call back about any of your concerns. I've lived here since March 2019. In the two leases, I have signed the rent was raised however the service has declined dramatically. Lastly, If you chose to live here I recommend you know how to protect yourself. There was a shooting here back in January 2021.
Doesn't care about safety issues, resurfaced the entire bathroom without any ventilation whatsoever.
Lived here for a couple of years it has gone downhill fast. The pool is never open, they got rid of the volleyball court, the gym is tiny and small and nit a lot of equipment, the clubhouse area is very run down, the dog park was closed for months and is really just a patch of dirt. If some breaks it takes forever to get repaired if it is the weekend. Heaven forbid you leave a box in your patio to take to the trash you will get a note on your door about that. Between the murder the missing child cars exploding, cars being shot at, cars being broken into. You would be better off elsewhere. They do have security it’s a guy in a car who drives through a couple of times a night who looks to be about 18. Counting down the days till my lease is over.
The management at this complex is outstanding from their customer service to the maintenance team! Amber is an awesome property manager, always easy to reach, friendly, and personable. They are understanding and take care of my needs in a timely manner. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent!

Hi, it's experiences like yours that really keep us motivated! We always strive to provide a positive experience! Thank you, and have a fantastic day!
I recommend this apartment complex for those wanting to live close to town center without all the craziness of living in town center. It is a quiet neighborhood just a few minutes away.
I have no complaints. I’ve only been here for 3 months but I love it. First off Joan made my move a very smooth one and was very very helpful. Next, I’ve had service requests nothing big (porch light replacement etc.) and they literally have came the next day every time so I’m very grateful for that. It’s quiet and I just love living here.
Happy to call this community my home for the past two years. The staff and maitenece has been nothing but great! You can’t beat the location! I definitely recommend The Club At Town Center to any UNF student who wants an easy commute surrounded by great shopping and restaurants!
We moved in about a month ago, and so far have had no complaints. My wife and I came from living in a house with two small children into a town home which is an adjustment in itself. But the staff and town home itself have made the transition so easy! Yes, when we moved in there were a couple things right off the bat that needed attention (Ex.bad light bulb in the kitchen) But it was nothing the maintenance staff didn't come and fix almost immediately! The staff all around is fantastic! So far we absolutely love living here. The location is great!!!! 10min from the beach. 12 from down town/san marco, and 2 min from the Town Center. What's not to love! Just don't come in with unrealistic expectations that these units will be "Brand New" and that you won't sometimes have noisy neighbors.. its a college town.. hello.. Just roll with it. Can't wait to use the pool this summer!
I recently moved in and had the quickest, easiest time signing a lease in less than an hour. Tyler was very helpful in making sure he got the right apartment for me based on my preferences and my budget. My apartment is clean and no damages when I moved in, its quite and neighbors respect each others space. Can't wait to experience the gym and the other amenities this place offers!
Based on my experiences living here, the front office does a great job of instilling a sense of community. There is always some type of event or service hosted by management geared towards helping residents feel as if they belong. For example, there was recently a holiday decoration competition between the residents, and they even offer a free zumba class held weekly. I'd be hard pressed to find much to dislike about my stay here.
I've lived here for over two years now, but it never surprises me just how helpful the staff is. Whether it's prompt responses to maintenance requests, or friendly updates about upcoming events, the staff here is always on point.
Just moved in about two months ago, I like to get fully settled before I write reviews. Everything is great here though. Anytime I've had an issue (burnt out light bulbs, A/C filter needing to be changed, etc.) the staff has been super nice about it and the maintenance guys are there the same day! Which is rare in my experience with apartments in Jacksonville, usually it will take a few days at other places. Super inexpensive apartments for Town Center area too. Close to shopping and restaurants and just a few miles away from the beach. Love it here!
As a student, I was considering a move to Jacksonville and looked up apartments in the area. The Club at Town Center came up at a very reasonable rate and in a great area near tons of amenities. I spoke to Amber in the front office and she was so helpful. She told me about all the schools, shopping and freeways in the area, as well as how far it would be to go to the beach for some sun and fun. She helped determine what I would need to move in to the complex and what my current budget would get in terms of the size and layout of my apartment. I signed the lease without seeing the apartment, because I was so confident in what she told me. It was perfect. exactly what I had in mind and exactly what I needed. The maintenance people have been accessible, the laundry facility is updated and available. The pool and clubhouse are beautiful and accessible. The office personnel is very helpful and accommodating. Monday thru Thursday there are exercise classes in the evening, saving me the gym membership fees. Lots of social activities during the month as well. They provide a list of numbers for cable, washer and dryer and just about anything else you will need to move in. I am very happy with my choice of The Club at Town Center and would recommend anyone moving to the area to stop in for a tour!

Thank you for taking the time out of your day to review The Club At Town Center to let everyone know how much you love living here. We take great pride in our community, and strive to make sure our residents are happy. Making the moving process go as smooth as possible is a MUST. It is already stressful enough packing up and moving to a new place. The TCTC staff is so pleased to know you are enjoying your "life on the GO" and participating in our FREE GO Fit classes. We look forward to having you here as a resident while you are finishing up your studies. Our hope is that you love it so much when you graduate that you want to continue to live at a Goldoller community. Good Luck on your studies!!!
I have lived at The Club since mid August and so far everything has been pretty good. I live in the one bedroom, un-remodeled, townhouse. It is basically your standard, white walled oak cabinet apartment. It is pretty nice that the unit has a working fireplace though, even if in Florida I doubt it will get used very much. Also it is very nice living only a mile from The Town Center. Overall, pretty nice place to live.
When they show you an apartment it will look very nice, and to be honest I love my apartment. What I don't love is just about everything outside of my apartment. When I moved in here I justified paying a little extra for the amenities. I regret that now. The laundry room closest to my apartment has been gutted and left empty for the 4 months since I moved in. I thought they would fix it up and reopen it soon, but apparently there are no plans to do so. The only other laundry room in the complex is disgusting and is basically never maintained. Several of the washers and dryers have been broken for over a month and the floor in there is a huge pile of lint, forgotten clothes, and filth. I wish I could upload a photo of it with this review. I just took one and it's enough to make you vomit. I just walked over to the office to ask someone about the laundry room and since it was just outside of their hours, the guy inside darted into another room so I couldn't see him through the window and pretended not to be there. I saw you, and this review is what you get for ignoring me. Residents pay extra every month for garbage (it isn't included in the rent) and the dumpsters are always overflowing and there are 6 recycling bins (also always overflowing) for the entire complex and these are in just one (inconvenient) location instead of having several next to every dumpster. The clubhouse is actually pretty nice, but it has the worst hours. It closes at 8 every night, so I hardly ever get to use it. The gym is a joke, and the pool is crowded with screaming children. Oh also, they have this retired cop who "guards" the pool, which amounts to rudely asking any non-white person what apartment they live in.
They don't like to do they job and fix anything in the apt.
My roommate and I have lived in this apartment for three years and what breaks this apartment complex is the management. The complex is undergoing a major facelift and eliminating those it does not believe suits it anymore. In recent months I have witnessed a massive move out of neighbors and friends whom are no longer willing to deal with an uncompromising management, trash areas that overfill and festers for days and maintenance that despite promising to arrive one day during a set time will arrive days later at a time of their choosing. Management has done nothing to quell these complaints, simply taking the opportunity to remodeling any apartment and increase rent by $300 a pop. Management no longer values their residents and just want to drain you of every penny you have while masking behind a fake professional smile of ignorance.
We have lived in our apartment for about 3 years. And it's ok. I mostly like the layout of our apartment, except the kitchen and the bathroom are too small. However the living room and bedroom are both a good size. In other information, the maintenance people aren't that great. We have problems that happen, and they come in to fix them, and only do the bare minimum. For example, we have water damage from from both the roof and the upstairs bathroom, and in both spots the fix was to repaint over the water damage, which of course doesn't fix it. Moving on to neighbors, we have had a few issues. The neighbors behind us had dogs that barked alot, in which the apartment people never helped us out other than to give them a warning. Also another neighbor slashed the seat on my boyfriend's motorcycle (although we can't prove that). Other than that the neighborhood is quiet and calm. I don't personally use the facilities provided by the apartment, however my boyfriend uses the gym every day and seems content with it. One big problem that I have with the apartment is that when we renew our rent every year, the rent goes up each time. Now I'm new to renting, this is my first apartment, but it seems like the longer you stay there, the more the rent should go down. Like a loyalty thing. But that might just be my naive opinion.
Next month will mark my 2 years living here at these apartments. While at first all seemed good things have slowly got worse. The staff there is nice and I loved living close to everything. But maintenance is horrible. My A/C has not worked in 2 months. It does not get any colder than 79 degrees at any time. I have called about the roaches in the house but they only sent someone by once and it did not improve. The A/C leaked in the hallway and they just put a board under the carpet. When the changed the roof water came down though the bedroom ceiling and then water started coming though the kitchen ceiling but they have not stopped the leak or fixed the holes, 3 weeks later. Not to mention there is yelling and screaming late into the night every night. The raise the rent on you every year! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
Horrible apartments. Horrible company. If you like roaches and arbitrary fees, this is the place for you.
I wish I read reviews before I moved in there. I moved out about a month ago now and that was the BEST decisions I could've made! The first couple of months were okay, had some issues with the neighbors, which were never resolved. Things didn't get bad until February/ March. We had cockroaches everywhere. We began getting treated every week, which didn't help our issues. One night we made a pasta dish for dinner and within 10 minutes the bugs found it. We through out all of our food, had to go out every night to eat. We lived out of bins to try to get away from the bugs and nothing worked because the roaches found our stuff in the bins. I had a list of all our issues with the roaches and even took pictures of everything and I was told the property manager would call me by the following Monday. I never heard from her so I went in with our list of issues and a letter signed for us terminating our lease. The most the office did was offer us two units--completely downgraded and dirty. The best decision we made was leaving there. I do not miss it, I am very happy in our new place and I have been bug free ever since! DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. there are other apartments that are so much nicer for about the same price. Good Luck!
If you have any kind of standard of living do not move here. You may read reviews about this place and think they must be exaggerating or high maintenance.. Trust me and listen, I thought the same. If you think that you shouldn't have to live with roaches for the paying 700-800 dollars worth of rent monthly dont move here. If you think your place should be ready and clean on the day of move in, and if you actually want a staff that cares do not move here! If you don't want walls with dents and horrible patchwork, or water damage do not move here! If you don't want rusty appliances that they call an upgrade don't move here. Just don't do it. Refrain! The first week we saw at least 20 roaches, rust on appliances, dents in every wall, and stepped in fiberglass in the new carpet they installed because their maid service doesn't clean. They moved our move in date letting us know the day prior to and the maid service was so inept they lost the key to our place, delaying our move in additionally. The models may look great, but the apartments are wildly different compared to what they will show you. What you see is not what you will get. What you get is a horrible headache, pain, frustration and a deep yearning to leave but knowing they will have about 2 months of your rent, not including the security deposit and the first months rent in which you find out how much of a dump/roach motel this place actually is. The sad thing is they are actually trying to charge people upwards of 800 now to live here. I abhor living in this place. I haven't been able to buy groceries because of the roach problem. The front office does little to solve any of these problems for you. They waited a week before they decided to spray our apartment for bugs, and the guy didn't show up so we had to reschedule. We contacted them about even the possibility of switching units but they have been out of contact for four days. Please please do not live here. The stress of moving is on going here because we can't actually unpack. I don't want any of my things in here. I don't think you would either. The fridge was unclean, there were crumbs in the cabinets (probably attracting the roaches) everything was a total mess! We spent hours cleaning every surface, had no food in the house, and we saw 5 roaches that night including small baby ones. We still see them even after you spray. There are cracks and crannies everywhere! Where they shouldnt be! So they go everywhere! They can hide in other units and come back to yours. I hate hate hate living here.
Property Manager at The Club At Town Center, Responded To This Review
We had the same issue with the roaches and we were told our neighbors probably left food out so they came to our place...which didn't even make sense because our place was always clean. We didn't want to break our lease but we had no choice because the conditions were so unsanitary. I have never been so happy to move out before. Good Luck to you guys.
WE have lived here for about 2 years. at first it was working out although we did not have any of the upgrades they had talked about. come to find out only a handful of the apartments are upgraded to look like the ones in the pictures. there is no security. people that dont live in the complex drive in and use the pool and at all hours of the night. i left for work at 530am and people were leaving the pool. we have tried to use the pool twice and saw someone had gone to the bathroom in the pool. Disgusting. And lastly, they do not enforce people living their to clean up after their dogs. They do not follow their breed restrictions (several great danes) and you cant walk in the grass without stepping in dog mess. Drives me crazy when the basket with doggy bags is right infront of you. only reason why we are still here is we are waiting for our house to be built.
