Stretching north from the center of the city, up to the 280, west towards Loachapoka, and east to Gateway Dr., North Auburn is a largely residential area that offers up more space and bigger homes than you’d find in central Auburn.
Looking for an upscale apartment complex that’s heavy on the amenities? You’ll find it here. A single-family ranch style home with a big yard? You’ll find it in North Auburn. The area itself encompasses three prominent parks, including Sam Harris Park. There are also plenty of eateries to experience in this family-friendly locale, from New York style pizza to classic barbecue.
The southern edge of North Auburn practically rests on the city center, so while you might enjoy the suburban feel of the area, the conveniences of the city are never more than just a few minutes away.

Property Ratings at The Collective at Auburn
Parking and maintenance could be better. Maintenance is good when it’s something they will fix but there are lots of things they aren’t responsible for that should be included in cost of rent. Otherwise great. Safe area and fun amenities.
Overall nice community. No real issues. It was a nice place to live for 2 years. I would recommend this place to others. I hope the move out it not a horror story like i have heard in other places.
Living here has been good. I'm looking forward to the warm weather to use the pool again this summer. Gym and game room in the clubhouse are good as well.
Good community and quick response to any unit issues. Homes are very spacious and comfortable. Pool and hot tub are great and we have access to security at all times. Gated so feel safe in the community.
I love living here!! The amenities are great and the staff is awesome. This is by far the best place I have lived in Auburn. It’s not as far from campus as you think :)
Has a lot to offer outdoor and indoors. I love that it has a pool, gym, and outdoor entertainment center. Spacious living room and bedrooms. Could however use an update with washers and dryers.
Aspen was a great place to live. I lived there for 3 years and enjoyed my experience for the most part. The staff were always friendly and helpful and maintenance is quick to fix any issues you have. The clubhouse and amenities were great and always well maintained. My only compliant is that they did a poor job assigning me roommates over the years. Some barely spoke English and were very rude. I would highly suggest you room with people you know rather than going in blind but I guess that applies in any situation. Anyways, Aspen felt safe for the most part minus a few incidents that occurred in the area. Also the gate almost never works so it's more of a pain than anything.
I've heard many stories about scary/sketchy things happening in Aspen Heights, but this weekend I experienced it first hand. Someone smashed my car, and completely TOTALED it. They didn't even leave a note. I went to the housing office to make them aware of this situation, and they told me there's nothing they could do. I understand that this is true, but they showed a complete lack of empathy. They could've at least issued a notice to residents to make them aware of what's going on in their community and to raise caution. Their response to this horrible situation is very disappointing. Aside from this, the amenities are built very cheaply and are filthy and absolutely disgusting.

Aspen heights is an AWESOME apartment complex. Rent isn't too high, and the staff is EXTREMELY helpful with anything you need, and the roommate matching system really works with helping you find someone you can get along with. It's the perfect place to live for a college student. I recommend it to anyone looking in auburn.
