I’m a new tenant in the building and I’m not particularly happy with my choice. Parking across the street and lugging groceries etc.,isn’t optimal. The building only has 21 spots for 70 units and you have to get on the waiting list to get one. Everyone has a grocery cart to get to and from the building. Also, when I leased, I was lead to believe that I had assigned parking, this isn’t the case. The garage I use is also available to the public so it can get full. Whatever you do, don’t lease a place that overlooks the courtyard. The noise from the other tenants can get pretty loud. They also leave the courtyard lights on until 11:15pm so too bad for if you have to get up early or don’t have blackout curtains. Also, I don’t have much privacy because of it and it can be difficult to enjoy any peace on my balcony with all the noise. This is a no smoking building but trust me, you’ll smell weed and cigarette smoke when you sit outside. The worst part of the deal is that N. Atlantic and Powell Lane which are right outside are dangerous and used as a cut thru for those trying to avoid the light at Collings Avenue. There’s no posted speed limit and people roll right through the stop signs. Also, be aware that the rear exit for the Wawa creates even more traffic. There are also only 2 painted crosswalks and not one painted for residents to safely cross the street to the door of the building. This is also advertised as a luxury building and the doors, fixtures and appliances inside the apartment aren’t as high end as I’d assumed. This is also a pet friendly building but there are too many barking dogs for my comfort level. Mary Lou, the manager, is great and very responsive as is Rob the handyman.

Staff and maintenance warm, responsive and accommodating. You get used to the patco noise quickly. The places are beautiful. If you’re a down to earth person, please do not believe poor reviews.
Collings at lumberyard is not only a safe area to live in, but also a beautiful community. There are many places to go shopping and great restaurants just around the corner. The staff is very nice and friendly. And the apartment itself always upkept and clean. The apartments themselves are beautiful and have a great view of the town. I would recommend Collings at lumberyard to anybody.
I am a new resident at The Collings at the Lumberyard and to apartment living as a whole. I have transitioned from a single family home of many years to starting a new phase of life here in Collingswood. I have been treated like family from the very first meeting with the staff. Andrea and Kregg have been EXTREMELY accommodating which made this transition easier than I ever imagined! They always answer my calls and have gone out of their way to help with any questions or concerns that I may have. My neighbors have been very nice as well. I only wish that I could park in my building which holds 70 units with only 21 parking spaces. I really did not take into consideration the full extent of having to park across the street in a public garage and have to walk in possible inclement weather, or in the evening, across the street to come home. That being said, I am still glad that I chose The Collings at The Lumberyard to start this new phase of my life and would highly recommend it to others.
Nice apartments but fire alarms happen too frequently, including recently at 3:30 AM.
The apartments are nice however the fire alarm goes off very frequently due to being overly sensitive, if power surges for even a minute the alarm blares. It has happened due to other problems as well, much too frequently for good quality of life. Not only that but the maintenance supervisor and office management are poor with communication and often very unresponsive to resident concerns.
