If you’re looking for a place to live temporarily while you work to put yourself in a better financial situation, it can be ok. If you’re looking to have the best customer service and prompt responses to issues…. You get what you pay for. This isn’t the most fancy living option, but if you mind your business and stay to yourself… you should be okay. If you need anything major fixed you may be better off fixing it yourself or hiring someone and requesting reimbursement. Not the best place but there are much worse places that are a lot less safe. The victory ramp that they work with is horrible but aside from that I recommend this place only be a temporary stay.
The amount of addicts and dangerous people that freely come in and out of this building is mind blowing! The office onsite was broken into Dec. 2020. Master key(s) to our apartments was stolen, among other things that were not disclosed. Don’t worry, since this matter has not yet been taken care of, management posted a sign of communication in the lobby apologizing for their delay in changing everyone’s locks. Safe letter to broadcast for all to see since the thief’s were never caught. They also tapped up a sign telling residents not to allow unknown persons to follow behind them in the building. In other words, we are meant to put our safety at risk keeping people out because there is no security here to protect us. The Commerce Building is a nuisance to the community and a disgrace to Lowertown.
Poorly Maintained, unsafe, smells of trash and smoke. Management doesn’t care about safety. People living in stairwells and constant crack addicts harassing tenants. Windows do not open and ventilation system is broken.
I have over 70 hanging prisms for my large window treatment, almost 11 foot ceilings, every inch is decorated, storage is limited yet I make the most of every space I can. I LOVELOVELOVE my home! Black ceilings, exposed plumbing and duct work, cement floors, a very QUIET place to live. This home is the place I LOVE to be most! I have photos to share, come see for yourself.
