North Burnet is a busy Austin neighborhood filled with shops, restaurants, and businesses. It is a highly sought-after neighborhood, home to JJ Pickle Research Campus of the University of Texas at Austin, the upscale outdoor shopping mall the Domain, and Austin Community College: Northridge Campus. Downtown Austin is only about eight miles south, but with so much happening in North Burnet, you may find all you need in the neighborhood. For those who are commuting, I-35 and the Mopac Expressway are both easily accessible, and so are several bus stops.
Residents gather at Domain Central Park, which offers beach volleyball and a dog park. Walnut Creek Park stretches along the northern border and offers the Northern Walnut Creek hiking trail. There are many restaurants and shops in North Burnet, and you’ll discover your favorites after moving here. Property Ratings at The Copeland
I've lived at The Copeland for a little over a year and love it! I wanted to live near the Domain, but not directly in the Domain due to all the traffic. The Copeland is just close enough, but not too close. I can pop over in under a minute and get in and out. You can hear the train, but after a couple of weeks I don't even notice it anymore. The property is beautiful, the people in the office are very friendly, and I love that there's no carpet in the apartment. Definitely recommend!

Dont live here. Theres theft almost daily. The staff does nothing about it. Theyll shrug it off and have attitude with you.

I have been here for almost a year and I cannot wait to move. Do not move here if you care about yourself and your peace. This was my first apartment and I hate that I chose this one. First and foremost, I have neighbors from hell on both sides, who play loud music at all times of the day and do not care about anyone else. The walls are so thin that you can hear everything next to you and above you. The parking garage sucks, so good luck finding parking near your apartment unless you pay for a spot. You live right next to the soccer stadium which means when there are games, you can't even get home. They also tack on so many charges outside of your rent, including a charge to use internet in your apartment when you already have to pay for a wifi bill outside of that. Packages constantly get stolen or misplaced and you have to pay to use the parcel locker which is mandatory to get your package delivered. They honestly nickel and dime you for a lot here. Finally, it's right next to train that will disturb you at all hours, the location of this apartment is just not good. The people working in the leasing office also have horrible customer service. Like I said I am counting down the days until I can leave this place.

The absolute WORSE place to live! Beware! The luxury Lifestyle will fool you when you first walk-in! However, DONT BE FOOLED; the employees could careless about their residents. The management team are inexperience at managing an apartment and don't know how to remedy situations at any level. They don't know how to talk to people and will make you feel less than!!! How are these apartments the worse at handling their residence, when they are right next to the LOUDEST TRAIN ever! and don't care to accommodate for the residences that live near the train! They have the cheapest walls and you can hear EVERY BIT of the train near by! Don't say I didn't warn you! Prices are going up and their gonna be in a bind if they don't figure out customer service.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL. NOT SAFE COMPLEX. In the parking garage my car been burglar , all my work tools was stolen. when i went into the office management the lady there didnt even say or feel sorry for me , just told me call the police , like seriously ? you dont feel any pain or guilt ? and of course first words they had to say "its not our responsibility". do yourself a favor , dont even think to move in here if your own safety is important for you.

Poor communication on the apartment's management. Charged me a renter's insurance lapse fee despite having proof my insurance never lapsed. Process has been taking days.

For this review, please keep in mind the property management company had changed about midway through our lease, so some information may not be completely relevant. We moved into this apartment complex in July of 2019. When we toured, we were ensured the train nearby only ran during the day, and was specifically a commuter train. Within the first couple days, it was clear this wasn't the case. When we asked if we could move apartments to an interior apartment in hopes of it being quieter (we had a north exterior room), we were told we'd have to pay a 800(?) dollar fee. While inconvenient, the train noise was horrible (plus, our downstairs neighbor played music very loudly a couple times our first week at 2 in the morning). After moving in, things were okay. During our stay, it was clear parts of the apartment weren't great though (listed below). When we moved out, we were told the oven top was unrepairable. We never used the oven for anything other than cooking. We never dropped anything on the oven either. It was all normal use. Regardless, we got charged several hundred dollars for a replacement. We tried to work through this with the management company and were told they could do nothing. This seemed unreasonable given the circumstance.
