Nestled into the triangle formed by Interstate 495, Highway 1, and the North Kings Highway, Huntington is a popular Alexandria suburb for many reasons. Charming cottages and duplexes helped the area gain popularity in the 1940s, but it’s also home to modern apartment communities that have made the area perfect for commuting professionals and families alike. The neighborhood blends both a laid-back suburban vibe with the more imposing apartments near Hunting Creek. There are a few restaurants and stores in neighboring communities like Belle View, but the real action is just across the creek in Old Town. The Huntington Metro train makes for an easy public transit commute to Washington, DC, about 10 miles north. Residents also enjoy proximity to Ronald Reagan National Airport.

Property Ratings at The Courts at Huntington Station
I've never seen such incompetence and apathy in an office staff. Broken everything! elevators, benches, amenities like the gym and all of their games, broken locks ,promise 9f security with absolutely none. It's one of the worst financial investments you could make. They don't find themselves responsible for anything including stolen car parts, mail, and stolen vehicles. Vandalism is rampant and the office staff is only there to defend udr the terrible management group in charge. You will not get anything ypu paid for and they will continue to charge you a surd fees and overages . But you won't even have one functional elevator in a building w 2. They won't update anything and they can't even keep their landscaping up to date. The wretched people in the office obviously hate themselves and the tenants based on attitude. Just go across the street where the rest of us are going so you don't end up in small claims court. Truly. Please for your sanity and wallet DO NOT RENT HERE

Hello, We apologize for the negative experience you've had with our community and the issues you've encountered. Your feedback is important to us, and we are committed to addressing these concerns to improve the experience for all residents. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Kind Regards, Madison WeCare@udr.com
You WILL NOT be secure. Paid garage parking gate is nearly always open, and doors inside the garage are not secured to prevent entry into building. You WILL NOT be able to get in touch with Property Management easily, whether physically visiting the main office, email or text. You WILL get an awful smell of garbage entering garage, as this is not removed regularly and when it is, the trash bins are moved outside and sit which block the already narrow roadway through the development. You WILL experience Pests. There is NO recurring preventative pest control. You WILL pay for mediocre at best internet service through GigStream no matter if you prefer and are willing to pay for another provider. You WILL experience elevators out of service, accessible entry and doors out of service, street and sidewalk lighting out of service. You WILL be awaken late night and early mornings from fire alarms, asked to evacuate the building, and then return without any communication on the cause or resolution. You WILL receive plenty of email and notices about absolutely nothing, and NO emails and notices about everything else.
At first glance the apartment community looks nice!!! I will say that the onsite staff is nice and gets things done when you need it. BUT, the property is now getting older. Things are constantly breaking down and the staff can barely keep up. busted appliances, leaks in ceilings and walls. Currently, Cars are being broken in during the daytime hours in the secure garages. They leave the garages open during day time hours and this is a problem. This week cars were broken into and Wheels and rims where stolen. The camera's are minimal and no help to local police. UDR(Management Company) will not spend money for upgrades. Also, staff does not have time for upkeep. Courtyards are neglected and dirty, old cushions on furniture. trash not picked up for days..

Hello, We are saddened to hear that you have been dissatisfied with your time in our community. Our onsite teams address all maintenance concerns promptly and professionally. Though we never guarantee residents will not experience maintenance related concerns in their home, we work diligently to make repairs as soon as possible. Sadly, crime can occur in any neighborhood. Though we provided deterrents (cameras, access controlled entry, etc.), we can never guarantee a 100% crime free environment. Additionally, per the lease, If we provide any access control devices or security measures upon the property, they are not a guarantee to prevent crime or to reduce the risk of crime on the property. You agree that no access control or security measures can eliminate all crime. Local PD will be your preferred resource should you experience any criminal or suspicious activity. They are best equipped to investigate, report, and assist with these situations. We are sorry to hear that there are areas of the community not being properly maintained! Understandably, this can be very frustration. If you notice an area of the community needing attention, please submit a service request so that our team can address it. We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with our team. Kind Regards, Madison
PROS: The apartments are nice and the maintenance gets stuff done quick and are friendly. Gym is ok and it’s very close to metro which is convenient. CONS: I liked these apartments when we first moved here, but it’s becoming more not family friendly to say the least. Management will acknowledge your requests but rarely do anything about them. They will do the least possible and say they are working on it for months but nothing ever happens. The apartment won’t spend a dime to convenience residents unless they have to or it’s hurting their bottom line. The certificates in the elevator expired in March 2023 it is July 2023 now, doesn’t seem very reassuring. You car will get dinged eventually from some careless residents. I have heard countless other stories of vandalism from residents after living here the last few months. Some of my property has been stolen in the garage. In the garage it’s too easy for non residents to get in and loiter around. People’s rims have been stolen off their cars but the cameras in the garage don’t cover a vast majority inside. If you don’t want your car to get wacked or jacked you need cameras. They are testing the fire alarms every other week it seems and that gets pretty annoying as well. If you have children this definitely is not the best place for you.

Hello, We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, and we are glad to hear that there are aspects of the community that you find pleasing. Your insights are essential to us as they help us identify areas where we can improve. We want to assure you that we take all resident concerns seriously, and encourage all residents to promptly notify our team whenever they encounter any issues regarding the upkeep of the community. Your timely communication enables us to take swift and appropriate action to address each concern and enhance the overall living experience for our residents. Regarding the elevators, we understand your frustration, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We want to clarify that while the certificate displayed in the elevators may not always be the most current, rest assured that our elevator inspectors are provided with the most up-to-date certificates during their regular visits to the property. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and we take the maintenance and inspection of our elevators seriously. For any community repairs or maintenance updates, we recommend reaching out to our onsite team directly. They are in constant communication with our trusted vendors and can provide you with accurate information regarding repair timelines and progress. We understand your concern about safety and security within the community. While we have put deterrents in place, it is unfortunate that we cannot entirely prevent crime from occurring. We encourage all residents to remain vigilant, take precautions such as not leaving valuables in their vehicles, and to immediately report any incidents to the local authorities. Once again, we thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Your feedback is invaluable as it guides us in making improvements to our community and services. We are dedicated to providing you with the best possible living experience. Thank you for being a part of our community! Kind Regards, Callie
Megan and Bernard have the worst level of customer service imaginable. Office hours are rarely adhered too and there is no communication regarding what all is occurring at the community i. e. Policy changes. I’m do not recommend living here as there are plenty of other places to reside In The area that are better prices and more quality.

Hi, We're truly sorry to know you've been experiencing communication trouble with our team and appreciate you sharing your concerns with us. Our team works hard to ensure all residents have an excellent experience and we're sincerely disappointed to know we've dropped the ball here. Please consider contacting WeCare@udr.com with additional information so we can work towards improving your time with us! Kind regards, Rachel
COH is a beautiful property, with great units, spacious, and the residence are great. Before you decide to move here please be aware that UDR & Corporate are so out of touch with what happens here that many wholesome families and people leave this place because of the lack of attention that's put towards making sure their needs as residents are met. For starters, UDR is so money hungry, they will charge you an arm and a leg for everything. Theft is a huge problem here as packages are frequently stolen daily form the package room, as well as car parts being stolen from people's cars out of the garage. The corporate office/rental office do nothing to deter these thefts or acknowledge these problems exist. Property inside of buildings and the garage are often vandalized as well. The gym is marketed as a great amenity yet majority of the main attraction equipment is defective and has been out of commission for about 6 months now with no explanation on when things are expected to be fixed. Pest control is a monthly cost yet pests are everywhere. The Rental office and maintenance staff are great and try their best to be helpful but its clear that UDR puts them in no position to successfully service residents properly. Maintenance team is understaffed, the residential office workers are only there for future residents and often have no purpose for resolving issues once someone has moved in. All communication with any person of interest will happen via text, never phone call and rarely email. Texting conversations often are drawn out for weeks with the UDR employees responding business days later. Lastly, There are many properties in this area with greater amenities, more luxury appliances, and less drama. Virginia has no laws that restrict the amount of money a property/landlord can increase the rent by, with the amount of money they enforce their residents pay, at lease renewal time they have been known to raise the rent by 30%-40%.
Things have changed at the Courts at Huntington Station over the last few years. I’ve had more than 20 Amazon packages stolen. The front office does not care and has refused to do anything about it. I now have to ship packages to a friend’s house. The appliances are aging and repairs (e.g., my dryer) can take weeks to repair because parts are hard to come by. I’ve had problems with my washer, dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, and air conditioner. Rent has continued to go up each year since I moved here. It is no longer in line with the market. When I moved in, we had a caring staff who interacted with residents all the time. Since then, there has been a constant rotation of staff members. In terms of the positives, the location is right near a very small park and is perfect if you need to walk a dog quickly. The cleaning crew and service crew are genuinely nice people. My best advice? There is so much competition in this area for apartments. Keep on looking!

Hello, We are sincerely sorry to read that your recent experiences at the Courts at Huntington Station have not been more positive. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to reflect and improve for all current and future residents. We'd like the opportunity to address your concerns and make things right; Please feel free to reach out to us at WeCare@udr.com and we will be happy to assist! Kind regards, Rachel C.
Several cars have been vandalized as well as motorcycles and car rims and tires stolen inside their "secure" garage. Property states that there was no footage of the incidents and claim to have cameras at each entrance but it appears they do not work and have failed to be fixed. Package delivery has been a nightmare with packages being stolen and opened in the mailing room. Building smells like a sewage and they do not maintain the fitness or communal areas. Save your money for another property.
Maintenance is on top of it, and quick to respond to your service requests. The buildings and grounds are nice and clean for the most part, with the exception of bad residents letting their dogs make messes in the halls and elevators. Management on the other hand is a bit shady. Make sure that you follow up a few times with them when you make a request. They also like to pass the blame and will lie to your face. I handed the assistant manager a check for apartment cleaning when I moved, and then got billed $500 for cleaning and repairs. When I followed up she said that she was gone the week I moved (lies - I handed her the check), but acknowledged I had paid and took the fees off. The mail room is also a mess and if your packages are not put in the parcel lockers it will be stolen. There is a mix of trustworthy and shade residents.
Continuous security issues to include apartment break-ins, and car break-ins in underground parking. A lot of additional monthly fees added to your base rent. The swimming pool was never drained and last year several people complained about illness after swimming. Fire alarms always going off...for no good reason, elevators are constantly under repair, the common areas are never kept clean. Management does not seem to care about the property nor the safety of the residents. For the extremely high cost of these apartments, LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
Well, I must say that I am extremely elated about our new manager Islam. I have lived at the Courts for 5 years, and due to new job Offers, I was thinking strongly about moving. So, I gave my 60 day notice. However, I did not move because I love the location, the great curb appeal, my quiet/civil neighbors, my apartment, and how Islam made me feel like a valued resident. Every time that he sees me, he greets me with a genuine and melting smile( unlike the some of the other disingenuous staff Members who lie and make faces behind your back before you get out the door, which is extremely unprofessional, but I digress). Islam worked with corporate so that my rent would not increase and gave me a deal for a parking pass for my second car( I don't want you to get jealous, so I won't disclose how Great the deal was). Overall, a great professional and property manger.
Awful. They will raise your rent every year and charge extra on your monthly bill for services that they were too incompetent to fix correctly the first time, e.g. tacking an extra $29 onto the parking fee to fix the garage door. I will not be renewing my lease for another year.
Hey look no further if you work in the DMV you would love this place. Literally steps off the yellow line metro, near Old Town Alexandria, close to the DCA Airport.. What can I say.. The grounds are well kept, the staff our friendly. Even when we had an unfortunate event with a power outage they kept us informed and gave the residents money back for the time that we were inconveinced. I've been here for 4 yrs and don'tlan on leaving :). Just check it out for yourself

Thank you for the nice 4 star review!! I'm glad you are enjoying your stay with us for the past 4 years. We think our location is pretty awesome also. If we can help you in the future, please feel free to contact us. Sincerely, Justin Lucy, Property Manager
All I have to say is in my line of work I've seen some of the nastiest apt's around. I mean from the upscale to the nastiest ones, and how maintenance and property managers handle them is sad. If you want easy access to online service to pay your rent to get a maintenance ticket done The courts at Huntington station is the place. easy access to metro safe parking and listen the security cameras do work so safety is not a concern, no easy access to bldgs so no strange people walking around. You want convenience then your a step away from stores and restaurants. Look everyone will write a review about how great the place they live is, but if its in the NOVA area ask yourself would you go with the review from the person who lives in their apt or the Pest control man who's been in a thousand apt??
