Property Ratings at The Cove Apartments
I called because I was looking for a 2bed 2 bath and on here it said available now. Called and talk to 5 different people all told me yes available for move in in July. But went to do online application had a few minor issues so called and was then told no there is no availability till August. Then the price was different from what 5 other people gave me. Just run dont bother. They have 4 other communities dont bother with them either.
First off, the model i was shown was NOTHING like the apartment i moved into. i was paying extra for a renovated apartment and was promised everything would be renovated by my move in date. NOTHING was renovated. I was told BY THE MANAGER water was included in the rent later to be hit with multiple water bills (which was hidden in the contract). At move in the AC was broken. After being fixed, i had to call maintenance THREE times for it to stop leaking. Cats all over the place. They lay against my door and try to run in my apartment when i open the door to leave. DISGUSTING !!!!!
I am very dissapointed in this place. When I first visited, I looked at the model and I loved it. They said that it would be a little different from my apartment (no wood floors and no granite counter tops). When I first moved in, I was shocked at just HOW different it was. I felt like there must have been a mistake. I wish I looked at the ACTUAL apartment like mine, and not a model that is totally not near what I have. The first week, I noticed that my glass door to the porch was not closing or locking, and I put in a maintenance order about 5 times in the next week, along with an AC order because it was making loud clanking sounds everytime all the time. The ladies kept saying, "It will be done tomorrow or sooner." But obviously, its been weeks and it was only until I told them that if something happens because it is not locked, such as a break in, they are liable because they did nothing. They FINALLY fixed both things, but I was very disappointed that it took them that long and that much effort to simply fix something as important as that. The mailbox is above my head, so I have to stand on my tiptoes just to unlock it, let alone look inside it. If I am lucky there might be another tenant or stranger there to help me. When I brought this up to the front desk, they said just to bring a step stool. I am paying a lot of money to live here and the last thing I want to do is lug around a step stool across the complex everyday just to check my mail. Are you kidding?! The paint on the walls have clumps on them and there is paint on the panels and window sills. Very messy and not professional at all. I am very unhappy about being here and do not plan on staying unless something is done. I don't feel like they accommodate in anyway for people who are not average height or anything else. Not to mention, there is no recycling. That is a bummer. >:( I would NOT AT ALL recommend this place so far, and I have only been here for not even 2 months!!!
I don’t understand the negative reviews. I moved from Kentucky and The Cove was the first place I saw in Phoenix and the last. There are a lot of dumpy places but this isn’t. It’s safe. Many families live here. Kids ridetheir bikes, safely behind the gates of complex. Friendly to pets. They manage the property and lawn very well. I moved into a place with new carpet, fresh paint, and new patio doors. I can’t praise this place enough. And ask for Crystal. She helped me a lot during my transfer and I couldn’t be more grateful!
Management and office staff are terrible, you can tell they just want to take your money each month when rent is collected and move on. Even though maintenance requests are done in a timely manner, they are done with very low standards. When I moved in; stove, oven, dryer and refrigerator/freezer ALL did not work. I have since needed work done on my freezer 4 times before just deciding to buy the necessary parts to fix it myself. In addition, it is terribly insect infested. I have had my unit pest controlled twice and it has not gotten any better. Be aware that when you take a tour of the units on the first visit, they will show you the best unit with all the upgrades and it is nothing like the actual unit you will rent. I can't wait till my lease is up to get the heck out of this place.
The leasing staff at this apartment complex are rude and unproffessional. They will try to change your rent without notice, also add on hidden fees. The management is a joke and it'll take them forever to fix something. Also be prepared for break ins, since they only put one little lock on the door.
The staff was unprofessional and rude. They tried changing my rent without telling me, plus they have all these hidden fees. Also be prepared to have your apartment broken into since they only put one little lock in the door.
I looked at apartments for 4 months and this was actually the first one I thought about and in the end I rented at the first place I saw...figures ha. I'm in a 2 bd/2bh that's great on space and I love that it basically has 2 master suites, both rooms are the same size and it's a split floor plan which is exactly what I was looking for. It's nice and quiet at night and I feel secure, no one has bothered me. The grounds are kept nice and the staff are great and quick to respond.
Hi my name is Myles Smith and my best friends and I were driving around Phoenix looking at apartments and none of them really caught our eye or interested us until we came across The Cove Apartments. We were able to get a tour of a 3 bedroom apartment and my friends and I absolutely loved it! It had a great amount of space, the complex was beautiful and clean, the people were nice and it is not far from Grand Canyon University, it was just an all around great experience. We currently live in Southern California but are hoping to move into the Cove apartments by January, we've lived in Southern California our whole lives and would like to get away and experience the city and further our future by hopefully going back to school and we'd hope to stay at the cove apartments while going to school. Please consider us for the free rent for life, we'd love to move in sooner but sadly can't for money reasons, we truly loved Phoenix and the cove, everyone welcomed us with open arms.
In between two open fields, it sits comfortably secluded(pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center) from all the heavy traffic but less than a few minutes from the highway(I-10), a nice suburb feel(BBQ Grills, Parks) with accessibility between greater Phoenix and it's counterparts including downtown.
The parking is a horrible situation at times. My boyfriend works late. He came home and there were far more cars than residents used. Had to park in the street. Unfair if he gets towed or a ticket for this.
Nice Apartments but the parking situation sucks the is not enough uncovered spots and the spots are on the small side.
I drove by the Apt on the way home from work one day and really liked the appearance and style of these apartments. I really felt comfortable with staff and they really made me feel like I was moving into a great home. I was looking for something that I needed right away I was recently divorced and had to make a rush move, they made me feel comfortable and really were sympathetic to my situation. I really enjoy the quite and peace thats here. I would recomend these to all.
What I've seen so far, I like. The 1 bedroom is a perfect size, and the best part is the washer and dryer inside the apartment!
