While Farmington is only about eight miles southwest of Downtown Hartford, it feels more like a wooded resort town. The Farmington River meanders through the heart of Farmington, lined with picturesque parks. Narrow roads wind along hills, through the forested countryside and past the roadside stands of local farmers. But Farmington has another side -- a thriving business side, with major companies like Cisco Systems, United Technologies Corporation, Beazley USA, and iTech Solutions located in the city.
Farmington is the oldest settlement west of the Connecticut River. English colonists arrived here in 1640, attracted by the rich soil along the river. The town and river were named in 1645. Main Street features several colonial estates dating back to the 17th century, and George Washington referred to the settlement as the "village of pretty houses.

Property Ratings at The Croft Farmington
Absolutely LOVE this apartment. It's been such an enjoyable experience from the very beginning. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The building always feels clean, and the maintenance is excellent. Between the gym, pool, and incredibly maintained outdoor space, you'll never want to leave. There's also tons of parking! The units are beautiful, with lots of natural light and very quiet. The soundproofed walls make a huge difference compared to other apartment buildings in the area. The units are spacious and thoughtfully renovated with brand new appliances, lighting, and granite countertops. Couldn't recommend it more! 10/10
Everything is excellent!!! From Kristel to the rest of the Staff!! Maintenence requests are fulfilled quickly and efficently, Kristel always gets back to me quickly if I have a concern or problem!!!! I wish I had moved here years ago!!!!! Jim

Hello Jim! Thank you so much for choosing us to be your new home and I appreciate the kind words.
Nice place, but if you need temporary housing with anyone other than yourself and a DOG, don't go or the answer is "no". It is very disheartening to finally be excited about a place to stay to only hear we can't bring our dog to anything other than a studio. So thank you to anyone who ruined it for us and thank you Centennial for not giving us a chance. You lost a very respectful family.
This was my first apartment. I lived here while in law school. I LOVED it. The complex feels super safe. I was a single girl living alone and never once felt unsafe. Jacqui in management was awesome, and handled any problem that came up. Maintenance was perfect, fixing any minor problem I had within a day (they also had 24 hour on call maintenance, but I never had an emergency). They give you plenty of notice when the fire department is going to be checking sprinklers. I never had an issue with parking, and I lived there for three years. I also never had an issue with snow removal. It was always handled by the time I left in the morning. I lived in one of the older 1 bed 2 bath apartments, for context. UPS leaves packages on your front step, and I never had an issue with things being stolen. I can't speak highly enough of the place and, had I found a job in the area, I happily would've stayed. I viewed at least 5 other apartments in the area, and this one was the CLEAR winner.
I lived at this apartment complex for one year. I could not wait to move out. The freezer door wouldn't open all the way. The lighting was poor. The noise was loud from the neighbors. The management was unhelpful when asked for changes. The laundry room was always busy and the machines were broken. It was not worth the money.
Property management is non existent, owners are cheap and not willing to replace things that desperately need to be replaced, and the place looks like a foreclosed property that's falling apart. Is zero stars an option????
Property not as nice as represented in pictures. Walls paper thin so watching a movie will disturb your neighbors. Unless you’re capable of living in silence do not move here or you will be harassed by office for making the slightest sounds.
I lived here for 3 years and cannot say enough good things about Centennial! The apartments are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is responsive and addresses any maintenance issues very quickly. The snow removal is taken care of very early in the morning, before I ever had to leave for work. The area feels very safe. Amazon would leave packages on the steps of the apartment, and sometimes they'd stay there for a few days while I was out of town. I never once, in three years, had anything taken from my porch. The apartment complex is set far enough off the main road to feel residential, but is close enough to make running errands easy. Absolutely loved this apartment, and would recommend to anyone!
I lived at Centennial Apartments for a year and it was an all-around amazing experience. The management of the property is extremely helpful and accommodating and the on-site maintenance is so quick! The unit was recently redone and it is absolutely beautiful. Everything was brand new and the design was gorgeous. The apartments are the largest I've ever seen in the area and I truly couldn't have asked for a better apartment experience.
This apartment is close to perfect. The location, Just minutes from 72 or route 84, is really convenient. The property is very well-maintained and the employees are unfailingly friendly, professional. The laundry facilities are spotless with new washers and dryers. The pool is inviting with comfortable chairs and tables with umbrellas.
After moving to Farmington 7 years ago I finally found Centennial Apartments. When I moved in it was under the old management and it was still an Inn. I fell in love right away with the atmosphere and people. The studio apartment that I rented had a large backyard and was a perfect size for my dog and I. Summertime we were outside and hiking on nearby trails, and in the winter the fireplace was always a favorite of mine! The management prior and new were always kind and accommodating. With the new management there are brand new apartments and improvements! If I didn’t have to move I’d still be there! It was peaceful, QUIET and everyone was friendly! Thank you guys for giving me a wonderful 4 Years, and I would recommend this complex to anyone!! ????
Centennial inn and aparents was just purchased my a new management company. So far, pretty good. They renovated the pool and it is now open, they are currently painting the exterior of all the units, and hired a new landscaping company. I was told that the laundry room and gym is next. I hope they keep their promise.
