Located about 27 miles northwest of Detroit, Pontiac is an up-and-coming city brimming with historic charm and a strong sense of community spirit. Named after a chief of the Ottawa tribe, Pontiac was once a center for automobile manufacturing. In fact, Pontiac built an array of cars, trucks, and the renowned bus Civil Rights activist Rosa Parks famously made history on.
After being hit hard by the Great Recession, Pontiac is on the rise. Numerous restaurants, companies, and amenities are setting up shop in Pontiac, including the M1 Concourse—an 87-acre playground for auto enthusiasts. Historic Downtown Pontiac has been revitalized, offering a slew of cafes, shops, and entertainment options for the community, like the historic Flagstar Strand Theatre for the Performing Arts and the Crofoot performance venue.
A bevy of scenic parks provide plenty of space for outdoor recreation in Pontiac, such as Murphy Park, Galloway Lake Park, and Hawthorne Park.

Property Ratings at The Crossing at Auburn Hills
Management has changed over the past few years and has constantly improve the property, the office staff is so friendly and compassionate, and the complex is beautifully maintained.
NEVER EVER move into this community. The customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE and they do not care about the resident or potential resident at all. When you go to look at a apartment they do not let in the office and when you have questions the leasing agent have you standing outside and rush you so they can get out of the cold. It was communicated to us that the unit viewed was the unit we would get. Due to the lack of their communication and not taking the time to make sure all of our questions were answered, the unit rented. They tried to offer us a unit we said we did not want. On top of everything they did not care about the lack of customer service and concentrated on keeping the application fee that was paid. Absolutely, terrible customer service. The day we went a resident was yelling at them through the door and the second day we went someone was smoking weed outside our supposed to be unit. DO NOT MOVE.
Property Manager at The Crossing at Auburn Hills, Responded To This Review
Hello, I noticed your review had not been replied too in the past but wanted to reach out to let you know our process has since changed as that was only in effect for a short period during peak Covid cases, our office doors are open and we strongly urge anyone interested to stop by, we are open Monday through Friday 9am-5pm. We also have undergone new management and have implemented new Guidelines / Procedures that better ensure the happiness of our community!
They do nothing about complaints. The Property Manager is never available. It seems like they care very little about tenants or the property.
I have been meaning to write this review for a long time! It's not often you hear about people taking the time out to write a review for their apartments, but this one is worth it. I am beyond happy with this management company. Emily and Eli are amazing! I am not just saying that. There have been so many times I have had a million questions and Emily (and Eli) answered everyone. I never feel like I am bothering them. I have had all my maintenance issues resolved expeditiously. I am saving for a house but until then, my kids and I are staying put!
Updated apartments, friendly staff, great location, close to Great Lakes Crossing!
My girlfriend and I moved in on July 1st. Got our first DTE bill and it ended up being 201.02! I lived in previous apartments and rental homes that had central air and window units. The most I ever paid for DTE was 125.00 up to this point. I just can’t fathom how it’s that much. The prices for the apartments are about 200 dollars above what they should be. Yes, they are updated with new appliances and flooring but it is still PONTIAC, there are people in this complex that are sketchy as heck and my neighbors car got broken into. Renter BEWARE
Been here almost a year and yes it’s quiet; but getting Mainetence done is a joke. My husband is a retired veteran and needs his ac to stay cool and they keep jerking us around on getting the unit fixed. We are out of here soon so I feel for the person who takes it over.
I had to move up to Michigan for school. It was hard to find an apartment complex that offered less than a 12 month lease. I came across Crossing At Auburn Hills and found out they offered a 6 month lease. From the beginning the staff in the leasing office were great. They were always there to help and answer any questions that I had. They made my move up from Florida easy. The 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment that I had was very spacious and comfortable for the price. In unit washer and dryer was great. Covered parking for a reasonable monthly charge. The clubhouse with the 24/7 fitness center and outdoor pool was a huge addition too. The apartment was conveniently located. Easy access to I-75. Less than 5 minutes to Great Lakes Crossing outlet mall. 10 minutes to downtown Pontiac. 20 minutes to Somerset Mall and Birmingham. 35 minutes to downtown Detroit. 1 hour to Detroit airport. I would definitely recommend Crossing At Auburn Hills.
The community is quiet. I like the closet and living space. I am able to enjoy my family time in the open kitchen area. I like what they are doing to update the property often. The 24 hours Gym is nice too.
I love the fact that they offer a laundry room where you can use their washer and dryers or your owns. And the variety of floor plans available is the best, to not have to have the same apartment as someone else
