Ford Presidential Museum.
Notable as an artistic haven, Grand Rapids hosts the annual ArtPrize competition, a 19-day affair drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city and featuring artwork all throughout Downtown Grand Rapids. Property Ratings at The Crossings Apartments
We went in to see this apartment, and it does not match what is advertised. Only some of the buildings are pet friendly, and there is a $25/month rent for pets. The deposit is $500 or $700 depending upon approval. This posting says no pet rent and pet friendly, and I could not find the deposit amount online. It was a waste of time to view an apartment that doesn't allow pets.

We're sorry to hear about your experience. We strive to maintain accurate information and apologize for any confusion regarding our pet policy. We are reviewing our online details to make sure they reflect the correct, updated info. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
The Crossings has gone down hill, the new remodeled apartments mean you can hear all movement of upper floors, dogs barking and running around all times of the day.. even with Video evidence of the noise and issues the staff just done care... so if you want to over pay and and not have peace and quite then choose the crossings. Staff doesn't care to address issues...

I’ve been staying here since 2016 and there hasn’t been one update on anything since then, but rent is ridiculously raised every year. Not to mention there was a leak in the ceiling a few months ago that took them forever to “do something” about. Basically said it’s been happening to everyone and that we’d have to wait for the leaking to stop before it could be “fixed” (they just peeled the paint off and covered it with primer). We still have a nasty stain on our ceiling that was suppose to be repainted months ago. I say all that to say, it just isn’t worth what you’ll pay. I’ve been to close friends’ and relatives’ apartments who pay close to this much, for more updated, better apartments. The only positive is that the neighborhood is very nice and quiet.

If you live on the 3rd floor be prepared for leaking roofs. We had the problem and they are very slow at trying to stop the problem. Basically their answer to me was this happens every year we cant control the weather you just have to deal with it until we fix it. If you know this is a problem every year why not fix it????? Overall terrible experience and they will take weeks coming in and out of your apartment trying to repair it.

Second year rent raised $48 , the third year $233 for a 12 month lease !! They want $750 to break a lease and do not say anything about returning $500 deposit! This rental is over priced for the values ! 10 minutes down the road west , rent is $300 less a month with a garage!! BUYERS BEWARE! Your rent will go up every year and it won’t be compared to others !

Horribly incompetent management. Property manager, Rachel, is rude and has no sense of customer service.

The staff does not know what they're doing. Major pest issues. The internet comes and goes. Dumpster overflows. Not enough parking lot spaces. Construction is always going on. Thin walls and floors. Geese poop everywhere.

This place has been nothing but a headache. Trying to coordinate to sign the lease itself should have been my first clue. My husband had called to let Ericka know I was working and would be able to come in around 12 to sign our lease and she said that would work. We showed up, she was not there (that’s fine), but they didn’t have our lease paperwork finished. We sat around for ~30+ minutes for them to finish up for us to even go through/sign (keep in mind, I’m on my lunch break). Upon asking questions, the lady who helped us said, “I don’t know, I haven’t worked with you.” To me, you could have simply said, “ I am not certain but we can find out for you.” We paid our rent upon move in - a number when entering account information was miss entered and we received an email in regards to it (we appreciated). Login to find a $40 charge on our account. Called to figure out why it was put onto our account and the manager said not to worry about it as it would be removed. we are STILL getting the run around and the charge as it is still on our account. Upon moving into the apt, the carpet looked as though it had not been cleaned, cobwebs/dirt in the corners, part of the counter missing behind the sink.. we ended up making a sheet full of problems/issues with the apt and taking pictures for our records as we heard they will try to nickel and dime you when you. I would advise you if you move in to do the same. Upon putting stuff away, we noticed a couple things missing (easily could have left them at our old place, we know this) but called the complex to verify our locks were changed upon move in. The lady told us on the phone, “no, we have the tenants turn the keys in” and we can pay $10 to have changed. We called back to proceed with the lock change and were told we needed to come down to verify our ID. We went to the clubhouse and was greeted unpleasantly. I was not rude, but did ask why locks aren’t changed when a tenant moves in and Ericka started arguing with us about how the lady did tell him they are changed and how she was sitting right there then changed her story to I don’t know what you were told (the other lady sitting across the room did not say a word during this conversation). Instead of arguing with residence who are just asking out of concern and being completely rude, it could have been dealt with appropriately. I am EXTREMELY upset with the respect and customer service they offer their residence. I recommend avoiding this place if possible.

Denisha, we're terribly sorry you feel our team came off as anything less than professional and helpful. Please know this was not our intention, as we are always happy to chat and assist with questions or concerns. We wish your move-in experience had gone more smoothly and that your interactions with our team were more positive, but we will certainly keep your feedback in mind as we move forward. Please do not let this hinder you from coming to us for assistance and we hope all your concerns have been addressed. If not, again, do not hesitate to let us know! Thank you.
I was going to post my review when I had lived here a bit longer (almost a month now), but my interaction with the staff today made me want to write one now (and deduct a star from what I would have given them). I had errands to run today, and when I was finishing up I wanted to pick up a package at the office. I do, and get back in my car to go home. It doesn't start. I go back inside to ask the staff if anyone could jump start me. I was initially told "no, it's company policy". Okay, fine, you can hide behind that excuse. Then this other lady chimes in and says (yes, wait for it). That they're not allowed because IF HER CAR HAS SOMETHING WRONG IT WILL GIVE IT TO MY CAR. Yes, cars apparently have "colds" they can give to another car. Until then the staff there seemed professional and helpful. But now I know they're not above LYING RIGHT TO MY FACE. The office manager, or whoever that dude was (who has his own office) was there for it too. Fine, say it's company policy you can't help me, but don't lie to me about something so absurd. When I moved in my refrigerator and air conditioning didn't work. I also had a huge stain on my carpet. Maintenance took one day to come and fix my refrigerator, and clean that black spot out of my carpet. It took two days to fix my A/C. I was there for when they came to fix my refrigerator and clean my carpet. Both were very friendly and professional. I haven't really heard my neighbors (I live on the ground floor between two people). However, the lady above me has two kids. Let's just say they run, they scream, they cry, they stomp until midnight EVERY NIGHT. It's not a constant stream of all that until midnight, but it happens multiple times a day until midnight, or a bit after. I can hear them even when I have my head phones on. I had a small ant problem right when I moved in, but I told the staff about it and supposedly they had someone come spray. I haven't seen any ants since then. Overall, the apartments are nice. Just really disappointed to find out that the staff and manager are willing to lie right to your face.
