Nestled alongside the Raritan River in north-central New Jersey, Edison is a tranquil suburb with a rich history. The township was the site of Thomas Edison’s famous invention factory, where the incandescent light bulb was perfected and sound was first recorded. Aside from the township’s name, Edison honors the renowned inventor with landmarks like Thomas A. Edison Park and Edison State Park, which contains the Thomas Edison Center at Menlo Park.
In addition to its historic charm, Edison offers residents top-notch schools, vibrant shopping centers, and lush parks in a central locale. Although residents enjoy Edison’s quaint atmosphere, major cities like New York City and Philadelphia are both within an hour’s drive of the community, placing residents within close reach of countless metropolitan amenities. Commuting and traveling from Edison is simple with convenience to Interstates 95 and 287 as well as Newark Liberty International Airport.

Property Ratings at The Crossings at Edison
Don’t live here! You will pay as much rent as a mortgage and they promise all these amenities but they have zero security and people are constantly having packages stolen. Management is aware of the issue and tells you to send your packages to their “secure” mail center but half the time the carriers just leave the boxes on the floor instead of in the lockers and it’s a loose-loose situation. If you want to feel comfortable in the community you live in it’s not going to be here. First it’s stealing then what’s next?

Thank you for the feedback. We want to work toward creating a better experience. We do understand the frustrations with deliveries and the post office. We can't find your information in our system, so we ask you to please reach out to us at resident services at 732-225-2525 so we can look into any issues you might be experiencing. Your feedback is always appreciated.
We moved into this apartment about 1.5 months ago because the location was great and the apartment seemed newly renovated. It was a huge mistake. One week after I moved in, the ceiling above the shower started leaking. I called maintenance and when they came, they put a hole in the ceiling to relieve pressure and told me the issue was the tenant above’s shower caulking. The issue persisted despite me calling maintenance twice more. The next week I left for vacation and was out of the country. I had my in-laws check on my apartment and the bathroom ceiling had collapsed. We put in a work order to have that fixed and were told they fixed the leaking in the process. About a few days after they installed the new drywall, we arrived back home to find that the ceiling was still leaking and now soaking through the new drywall. We called maintenance and were told that just now would they call a plumber. We thought our problems would be solved when the plumber came the next day, but we were wrong. Instead, not only was the shower still leaking, but our entire kitchen ceiling began pouring water like a modern ceiling shower. Eventually maintenance fixed the active leak, but the following day, the shower began leaking again. The bathroom now constantly has a musty smell and the dampness leads us to believe there might be mold. Upper management’s response has been nonexistent and it's unacceptable that our apartment has been unlivable for almost our entire lease as of now.

I have had the opportunity to stay in Crossings at one for a couple of months now and I am very thankful to the management for their prompt help throughout the process. The location of the community, the maintenance, the cleanliness of the buildings cannot be matched. Thank you to the staff for their hospitality and serving every customer’s needs.

My family and I went on a tour and as soon as we got home we went to apply but there was an issue on the website and the prices were completely different from what we were told a few hours before on the tour! We called and emailed for TWO WEEKS to get help with applying/our questions answered and nobody answered us! When somebody finally answered she was so beyond rude and wasn’t helpful at all. We absolutely loved the apartment wanted to pay rent and wanted to move in ASAP but it shouldn’t be that hard! I am so beyond disappointed in The Crossings.

We recently moved in and everything has been great so far. The apartment is up to date and the landscape is very nice. People are pretty friendly. Kanika did an excellent job of helping us with the process of the apartment. She went above and beyond to answer every question we had. She's great!

We hope you're truly happy here. Keep us posted with anything you need. We're just a phone call away!
The leasing consultants sell the property well but sadly the high expectations they set are not met by the apartment when you move in. The unit i moved into was in shambles with incomplete kitchen cabinets broken heating equipment and wires running down inside the closet. Raised multiple maintenance requests but nobody came to correct it. With the amount of rent they charge and the way they advertise this is a big disappointment.

Definitely a 5 star rating! My fiance and were shopping for our first apartment and we came across the Crossings. We went in and Amy K. greeted us and showed us the model of the apartments, answered all my questions and even took me back to go see see the models again on which one I wanted (I couldn't decide) Amy has been super responsive, patient and made us feel comfortable. We loved the apartments and most of all the customer service! With both of those combined, we put through an application and moving in August 1st, 2018! plus I loved how modern and CLEAN the complex and the apartments are!!

Great place to live. It is close to everything in a tremendous location. My family enjoys the pool area in the summer. They had a nice party event for the residents last summer. We enjoy it here very much. Property is located across Parsonage Road from Menlo Park Mall next to 7-11 so there's just about everything you could ask for right here.

Such a awful place to live in. Do yourself a favor, just stay away. We are having so many issues in our apartment unit and they never get fixed. Maintenance department is a joke here, it takes so many maintenance requests to get something fixed. Laundry units in the apartment buildings are in very dirty or in broken condition. Our apartment building smells like marijuana at night, horrible neighbourhood. Finally if you like to get your car scratched/hit & run in the parking lot, please move in.

Nice apartment in a great area. The neighborhood is great a little busy at times being right next to Menlo Mall, but the community is quiet and super convenient to everything. The pool is very nice in the summertime.

This is a wonderful community. I live here with my son and we love it. We have very nice neighbors, and my son is able to play outside in a very spacious pool area in the summer. There have been a lot of improvements and upgrades to the property recently such as landscaping upgrades throughout. Everything looks very nice, and as a renter it is nice to see money being put back into the property. Overall, this such a wonderful area right across from Menlo Mall, and tucked away in a nice quiet spot off Route 1 within walking distance of a lot of stores and restaurants. It is super convenient and the surrounding area has everything you can possibly need.

I have lived at Menlo Park almost 7 years and I love it here. The new owners have done a lot of new upgrades and the place looks so great, I'm trying to get my co-workers and friends to move here too. I just came from the offices and I have to say how great Cathy, Debbie, and Frank are. They always take great care of me. I definitely recommend moving here.

We love referrals so continue to send people are way. Friends and family make the best neighbors. Please let us know if you need anything. Thank you again.
Have been living in this community for about 2 years and I feel I moved in just at the write time. Renovations to the apartments and to the community have come rapidly over that time. Seems the new ownership has put a lot of time and money into the property and it shows. Building management and staff have also been responsive in the few times I have needed them or have had questions. And I haven't been able to beat the location right off Rt 1 with most major highways in NJ not too far.
Property Manager at The Crossings at Edison, Responded To This Review
Thank you for the positive feedback. We are happy you are enjoying the renovations with the community and we will continue to make this a 5 star experience. We will always be here if you have an issues or questions. Your happiness is important to us. Thank you.
I just recently moved in. I would like to point out a very positive experience with the Leasing Consultant, Lorin. She was awesome from day one, very polite, informative and went out of her way to help me complete the rental agreement. My experience with the management so far has been excellent. I moved into a third floor renovated Jr. 1 Bedroom and am very happy with my apartment.
Property Manager at The Crossings at Edison, Responded To This Review
We're so happy to hear that Lorin and management are providing amazing service. Your happiness is vital to us. We're equally happy that you're enjoying the renovations. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your positive feedback is appreciative.
I have been here for 2 years and the area is incredible. I am right next to Menlo Park Mall, and it seems like whatever restaurant, fast food place or shopping I want it is within minutes. The best part for me is I can walk to 7-11 right next to the property. The hallways were recently renovated, they made landscaping improvements throughout, and just redid the stone pillars at the front entrance a few weeks ago. I appreciate all the improvement efforts. My apartment is a small 1 bedroom, which is adequate for me being by myself. However, I will probably upgrade to the larger 1 bedroom at the end of this lease because I want a washer and dryer in my apartment so I don't have to go from the third floor to basement.
Property Manager at The Crossings at Edison, Responded To This Review

I have been resident at the crossing/Menlo Park apartments for 6 years and very happy with the service and accommodations which they provide me The pool is kept clean all the time and they do have access to the tennis court and I heard they are building fitness center

These apartments are old and have a lot of bugs/cockroaches. I have been staying here for past 2 years and planning a move out after this summer when school open. I dont want to give any star but no option.

you are okay with paying a premium price to live on an active construction site with noise of of drilling and thug thug thug to wale you up on weekends, this is a perfect place for you. The property manager is harder to get in touch than the POTUS. They won't care about getting back at you regarding your concerns or the fact that you get migrane week after week because of the work in your building. I am also getting "unable to deliver message" while I tried contacting them via email. The phones are never picked and voicemails are never answered. If you go and talk to contractors not to make such loud noises, you get nothing but super rude responses. Not recommended- i am moving out soon and won't recommed the experience to even my enemies.

You always value the feedback so thank you again for the review.
Awful place to live! Do not live here! I am warning you, if you have other options, choose one of those! To start things off, one of the employees of the apartment complex was squatting in the apartment when we got there to move in! The place was disgusting, as well. They offered to pay for the extra day of the U-haul truck we had to rent because the apartment was not ready in time because of the squatter, but they acted like the offer didn't exist when it came time to pay. The maintenance department was also horrible. The phone lines were very quiet, and often the receptionist could never hear our request. Maintenance would never show up on time and sometimes not at all. We had a leak in our bathroom for about 6 months, and it only got fixed about two weeks before we moved out. The place was also infected with roaches; maintenance never took care of it. My boyfriend and I were moving from another state and it was our first apartment together - worst experience of our lives. We are so happy to be living somewhere else now.
Current resident...This community is great for singles and young families. Very quiet and clean.
