Adjacent to Trenton and bordering the Delaware River, Ewing is a large township that contains the College of New Jersey and the Trenton-Mercer Airport. The township began as part of Hopewell Township and was settled by colonists in 1699. The oldest building in Ewing is a farmhouse built in 1717 by William Green, one of the area's first settlers.
To get a sense of how the area must have looked to those early colonists, visit the West Branch of Shabakunk Creek, located near the airport. This natural area covers more than five miles and played a vital role in the Revolutionary War's Second Battle of Trenton. Another great location to visit after moving to a Ewing apartment is the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail, which extends along the river. The trail is 77 miles long and is popular for hiking, bicycling, jogging, and horseback riding.

Property Ratings at The Crossings at Ewing
This property is beautiful and well maintained. The property manager is dedicated and extremely focused on both community engagement and resident satisfaction. Under his leadership, the community has grown and become more innovative. The maintenance staff are very responsive to any questions or concerns. The residents are courteous and welcoming. The units are absolutely beautiful with attention to detail. This has been an excellent choice to call home.
This property is going the way of the toilet. It;s a 20+ year old garden apartment community with 20+ year old appliances (washer/dryer, fridge, dishwasher and oven NO MICROWAVE). No management oversight of workers doing construction with construction debris filling up the dumpsters. The landscaping has been neglected and looks like crap. Generally, Sterling Properties could care less about this property and it shows. For 2 Grand plus for rent, go elsewhere in the area that is newer and better managed.
We lived here for two years. Ample parking, quick maintenance response, and wonderful amenities inside the apartment and in the community. It is a “luxury” rental so you get what you pay for. The leasing manager Vickie is knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a great and safe place to live.
I have lived in the complex for 5 years and wouldn't consider living anywhere else as far as apartment living goes. This is an exceptionally managed complex and the leasing manager is outstanding; as well as the maintenance team! A very quiet location where I have always felt safe and off the beaten path. The parking is generous, the tenants are nice and quiet, and the complex is maintained beautifully. Kudos to the leasing manager and the team there!
I have lived at The Crossings in Ewing for over 6-1/2 years and find it quite comfortable. The maintenance staff are the best ever, no need to worry about snow covered parking lots in the Winter. After the first flake of snow has fallen the staff are out clearing them and the walks!
Our apartment/complex is perfection. Sheer perfection. Clean. Quiet. Safe. Starting my tenth year here and I can't imagine living anywhere else.
I've seen a number of apartment buildings in the Trenton area, both in hamilton township and ewing. These are bright, clean, lots of space, and reasonably up to date appliances. Maintenance is excellent. The only downside is the gym room is a bit lacking, but they do have pool, and beautiful groundskeeping. The neighborhood is quiet - residential and and then a cemetery on one side. I've lived here for almost 4 years and has been my favorite apartment in 13 years of apartment living.
I love these apartments. Very cozy with packed amenities and set in a quiet neghborhood.
We've been here since August, and we really love the place. We consider ourselves fortunate and blessed being here, and we are grateful.
