Property Ratings at Crossings at Hillcroft
The Crossings at Hillcroft although a quiet place to live, has been nothing but disastrous and unsafe. My family and I have lived here since July 2017 and we have experienced 3 break-ins (in one event, 27 cars were broken into), suspicious activity and roaming stray dogs at night. We have contacted Management over the issue of security, but have been turned away with a unsympathetic apology. They have refused to install cameras around the entire residence (they are only by the front office). We have no legal recourse in these matters and we are without options other than breaking out lease. My warning to those that are contemplating installing themselves here is to consider other options and do not select The Crossings at Hillcroft. They seem to put profits before people.
I can not recommend this complex for the families, not secure and the neighbors are not friendly
This review will be a short and sweet one, however, I can't go on enough about how much I enjoyed living at these apartments. For me, it hit all of my must haves... it is quiet, convenient and it'sa good value for what you get. After recently getting married, I was finally able to move on to a home, however, this was the next best thing. The apartment I leased was the one bedroom with the bay window. I enjoyed all of the light that this window gave the apartment and I was very impressed by the size of the bedroom and kitchen. When you think about an apartment, you think of something small and cramped. However, my bathroom was very spacious and don't even get me started about the closet. The washer and dryer was also an added plus! The location is also super convenient to both the Beltway, 288 and 59, depending upon where you were going. At the time, I worked on 59 so, it was a hop-skip-and-a jump to those freeways. One of the most important things for me is time... There are several food locations in the shopping center next door so, that was convenient being able to stop on my way home from work. You'll even have a Jiffy Lube in that same parking lot...you can drop off your car and you can walk back home if you wanted to. When I did have an issue with the apartment (which was few and far between), I would take it to the management team and they were quite responsive. There was a middle-aged gentleman who works in the office who was always super helpful. His name escapes me at the moment (something with a K) but, he was always willing to help me when I needed it.
I have been living here for over 2 years and my apartment living experience is going great. The staff is professional, flexible, and kind. When I have maintenance issues, the service is efficient and the maintenance staff make sure the issue is fixed properly. I love how they keep up the grounds. The property is always kept clean. Parking is a bit limited but I still find somewhere to park. I feel safe and I really love that its quiet. I will for sure recommend this place to a friend.
I have never hated staying somewhere so much in my life. They are over priced, no amenities, and the parking is horrible. I work late hours and after a hard day I have to come home to no parking. Cars literally parked on the curves. Then they allow tow trucks to come in a tow your vehicle knowing parking is limited here. Don't waste your time!
I lived here for three years with my children. The last six months of me living here, there was A Robbery at gunpoint on Christmas Eve, a death, and Countless Breakins. I remember the incident with the death, and imagine explaining to your child why a dead body is laying in front of the playground. To make matters worse, if this wasn't on the news, we wouldn't have known about this. This complex is notorious for not communicating things to residents. Things of this nature should have been communicated. The office staff changes so much, I stopped trying to remember names. The manager isn't approachable, and I don't feel like she cares about her residents or staff. I wouldn't suggest living here. I never felt safe living here.
I have lived in this complex for 5 years. I have an 11 year old and i dont feel any safety issues. Yes, there have been break ins with cars and rims being stolen, however, the first incident of a residential beeak in was back in Dec 2015. The person that reviewed said deadly break in made it seem as though the intruder killed the resident but it was the other way around. You would do what you had to to protect whats yours as well. My only complaint is the walls are thin. Pay yyour rent on time and in full u wouldnt have to deal with the staff outside of maintenance which i never had a problem with either. In fact, the staff worked with me in changing my due date for rent bcs of how I am paid thru my job. Again, no complaints here, there are far worse crimes happening in nicer apartments trust me, i broke a lease from one that i was paying 1700 a month!
Don't come here if you care for your life. Robberies, car break ins, and so on... We recently had a deadly robbery attack and the management does not even care to notice people!!! It is cheap but there is a reason for that. You get what you pay for!
Honestly, I had no intention on living here so long. The location is convenient , the rent was cheap, and the building was fairly new. After more research I honestly couldn't find anyplace that gave me more bang for my buck! While I have some heartburns with the new management team the complex is good. I haven't had any safety issues,no neighbor issues, no maintaince fails. My apartment is huge and the square footage is what sold me. You will not find a location closer to central Houston with similar size for the price. There are bare amenities but if your looking for size and price point, this is the place. I would give it 3 1/2 stars because it's better than average.
I like this place it's a great deal for how much space you get. No problems with neighbors. The area is safe. It's right off the beltway so anything is a few minutes away. All in all I can't complain
