Property Ratings at The Crossings At Nine Mile Road
My roommate and I moved to the Crossings at Nine Mile last June and have completely fallen in love with the place. It's our first time living in an apartment complex, but we've experienced many others through friends/family and judging from some of their nightmare scenarios at other complexes in the area, we really lucked out landing at the Crossings. First and foremost, the units and property are beautiful, spacious, and well maintained. It's located within walking distance to Target, Publix, and several other stores and restaurants, and even more just a short drive away. Neighbors are great and there is a nice balance of college students, young professionals, families, and seniors to make it feel like a well-rounded community. This place feels really safe, which is something we were worried about when moving to Pensacola. But what really stands out here is the incredible staff. Angel, Stephanie, and Logan in the front office are phenomenally sweet and helpful. We recently had to have our sweet senior dog put down and the team was remarkably kind when we went in to notify them of the change to our lease. The maintenance team is also top-notch, especially James who we tend to see most often. We haven't had many issues that have required maintenance, but without fail, they're usually here within an hour after we request them and if for some reason they can't be, they've always called quickly to let us know they're backed up/on lunch and will get to us ASAP. Most importantly, any issues we've had have been resolved on the first visit. No band-aid fixes that we'd have to call back for in two weeks. Also, if you love dogs, this is the place to be. This has to be one of the best pet-friendly complexes in the area. I feel like many other complexes I've been to, you hardly see anyone out and about with their dog. Or they're limited to small dogs. At the Crossings, we see people and their dogs all over the place and it's so great! Big dogs, small dogs, everything in between. People are generally respectful and do a pretty good job cleaning up after their pups as well, which is definitely not always the case at some complexes. I can't speak highly enough about this place. If it's in your budget, definitely schedule a visit and consider moving in ASAP! Few places are actually worth the insane cost of rent these days, but the Crossings at Nine Mile is one place that definitely is.

I love living here! The location is great, and the complex is secure and quiet. The open floorplan feels more like a home than an apartment to me (and there are a lot of closets!). What really sets this place apart from others, however, is the exceptional management and maintenance staff! The three amazing ladies in the front office are always friendly, professional & helpful and immediately address any questions/concerns you may have. The maintenance team is also incredible; they are professional, proactive and very quick to respond when you report a maintenance issue. The entire complex, including the buildings, pool and grounds are kept immaculate and beautiful. I feel very fortunate to live here!

The community offers added safety for anyone who is single. The gates are never down for prolonged maintenance like at other communities I have lived at. The neighbors are friendly and nice. I love having linen closets and the spacious floor plan makes for a homey feel. The management staff are professional and empathetic towards any of questions or my concerns.

I lived at The Crossings for 2 years. The grounds are well maintained. Maintenance is always out painting or pressure washing. The landscapers come by every week. Every time I called about a maintenance issue it was fixed the same day or the next day. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I suggest you disregard the reviewer that complained the staff were rude. The “passive aggressive” note they refers to was a notice about picking up dog poop. It stated that in the lease residents agree to clean up after their pets and that those failing to do so are in violation of their lease and their pets could become “homeless”. It’s a shame that this individual is so entitled that they believe anyone pointing out that the rules apply to them as well as everyone else is rude.

We have LOVED living here. We love the size and layout of our apartment. The location is also great, walking distance to Target and Publix. Maintenance is wonderful... they are very quick to respond to maintenance requests, and also keep the grounds looking very nice. Angel, Michelle, and Sheila are all SO nice and helpful, they make you feel like you're their only priority! All around wonderful staff here at The Crossings!! We have loved calling this place home!

The Crossings seems like a great place at first glance. They have a nice property, it is quiet, and it looks pretty. However, don't let the appearance fool you. The entire management staff and part of the maintenance staff is the most RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL group possible. Joe, the maintenance guy, has a huge attitude problem. He constantly demeans residents, tells them their dogs are "terrors," and accuses residents of various things without any proof whatsoever. I know of at least 5 residents that have complained to management about his comments and lack of professionalism, and all concerns are laughed off and dismissed by Angel. Angel is the most disrespectful manager I have ever dealt with personally. This includes management at even a fast food restaurant. She completely shuts down any issues brought up by residents. She also does nothing to address the numerous issues about Joe, the maintenance man. Both Angel and Joe need to be fired from this property. They say they are a dog friendly property, yet there have been threats that the dog park will be padlocked. Moreover, an official passive aggressive letter was sent out to all residents this week saying that if dogs were in the pine needles that they put out over the entire property (they literally covered every tree with them), that the dogs would be "homeless' (exact quote). Residents are furious over this. Whoever owns the property needs to fire Angel and Joe immediately.

Had a wonderful experience with the professional staff in the office. My daughter rented with another person and it didn't end well. They handled it wonderfully and fairly. The apartments are well kept and the grouds are beautiful!

This apartment is great if you need a quick stop at the Publix grocery store on your way home because its right outside your gate. Target, Kohls, and Chik-fil-a are also located conveniently walking distance from the front gate of this complex. The Crossings is also on the newer side with beautiful stainless steel appliances, large community pool, and clean workout room. The staff is like a family, always warm, welcoming, and helpful and sometimes "Snickers," a little fluffy Shih Tzu will welcome you at the door. The Crossings is not just a place to live, its a home.

The apartments are nice and the staff is very helpful and friendly but the grounds could be better kept. I have contacted the Management group on several occasions concerning the conditions of the dog park but they appear to have no concern for the tenants issues. Governor's Gate which is just around the corner charges the same but the grounds are much nicer and the security fence keeps both cars and individuals out. The gate at Nine mile only keeps out cars, other wise you can simply walk around it. If I had it to do over again I would chose Governor's Gate.
