Property Ratings at The Crossings on Walnut Hill
Don't stay in these apartments! I have been living here for 4 years so far and now I am trying to run away because the new management took over and they are bad bad bad!!! When Gale was the manager, this apartment complex was wonderful. But now NOPE! The front desk lady VALERIE is the WORST!! Super rude and talks over you. She makes up her own rules and policies and gives you wrong information all the time. She doesn't know what she is doing. Not sure why she is even working there! Basically tries to be right all the time even when she is wrong! She needs to be let go for real. Please don't recommend this apt to anyone and don't live here!! There are other apartments that treat you better and take care of you.
I've been living here for a whole year now. When I moved in everything was clean and up to date. The manager Gail is a pleasure to work with. It's clean, quiet and for the most part everyone keeps to themselves. I've never had any problems here. Maintenance comes when you call them. They take great care of the property in making sure it's clean and aesthetically pleasing. It's not luxurious by any means but it's calm, not many kids live in the complex so you don't have that riff raff. The pool has always been crystal clear clean. The laundry room always has machines that work. The kitchen in the apartments is a bit small but it does the job. My only complaint, the property management company raised my rent by over 100$ so I'm gonna look elsewhere. Only because I'd I'm paying for the las Colinas price I will make sure I am getting the amenities for it. If you're on a budget and want a nice clean apartment then I would recommend going here.
Management placates you with lie after lie after lie, when all they do is just sit in the office and collect rent! Nothing is ever fixed! Manager gives you the "poor, poor me, cause I'm an old lady" con...so you feel sorry for her and have to live with all the stuff falling apart around here! People from next complex keep bringing their garbage over here and dumping in the dumpsters here in this complex, and the management could not care less when they were told this. People here SPEED through the parking lots trying to run you down, and the management cannot care less about your safety. People park in the middle of the parking lot so you can't even get out, and still, management could not care less. SO many problems with the apartment and the management just cannot be bothered.
The office staff is really friendly Gale is the best she's been there years!
These apartments are the best in the area for size per dollar. However, the area can be questionable at nights. Also, the apartments werent well taken care of over the years. They are affordable though! You get what you pay for. No issues with noise, no problems with neighbors and really close to a nearby park.
My 7 months at The Crossings have been pleasant. The staff is friendly, and they have a fair and affordable pet policy (which seems rare these days). The best way I know to go about my review is by listing out the major pros and cons. Everyone loves lists, right? PROS Right next door to the post office. Friendly staff. Good value (I'm paying about $1 a sq ft). Close to George Bush fwy, 114 and 635. 2 pools. I live on the first floor, and the only bugs I've seen inside the apartment were ones I let in by accident. Quiet. No speed bumps! Close to several parks. CONS No hot tub! Onsite laundry is expensive (currently $1.50 per wash, $1.25 per dry). Serious foundation issues (typical in older apts). Community is sectioned off from itself (there are 2 entrances - 1 gets you to the leasing office, mailboxes and a small portion of the apartments, and 1 gets you to the rest of the apartments, but they are not connected so directing guests and traversing it by car is pretty tricky). No fitness center, and website claims there's a volleyball pool, but there's no net No online rent pay (it's 2015... come on, guys!) Kitchen is a touch small. Traffic on Belt Line is heavy, and the light at Belt Line and Walnut Hill takes forever! Overall, I'm happy here, and despite a few flaws, I'd recommend it to anyone who works in the area.
Quiet apartment. near las colinas and belt line road, which has alot of good ethnic food. has a pool. I mainly like it for the quiet.
