Located just over 30 miles from San Antonio, New Braunfels is a thriving community full of amenities. New Braunfels is home to the sprawling Landa Park that sits across 51 acres on the Comal River. Residents and visitors alike enjoy the nature trails, mini golf, picnic spots, golf course, and more. Hinman Island Park sits nearby as well, featuring paved paths, water access, and a playground. The heart of the city and beyond is home to top-notch local establishments. Pubs, bakeries, restaurants, and specialty shops can be found here. Property Ratings at The Current
Avoid this place at all costs, the only good thing here is the maintenance staff (loved those guys). Property management is a joke and is rude to tenants and always rolls his eyes when you bring to their attention issues with the apartment or amenities. Spends more time outside on smoke breaks than inside handling issues. Myself and other residents had our taillights stolen from the "secure" parking garage because they can't figure out how to close the gate. Cost me $1000 out of pocket and upon move out they charged me $100 bucks for holes in walls from nails even though they were filled. Another negative is the AC units here go out, ALL, the time. I spoke to numerous neighbors and they all mentioned how either the blower fans go out or the breakers always trip from using the AC in the summer. Can't count the times I came home to a hot apartment and had to flip breakers then wait for it to cool down. The gates to this day are WIDE open at all hours and this is a huge security risk as someone can just walk/drive in the gate and walk up to several doors that are NOT locked and walk straight into the apartment building. Yet the front doors consistently stay locked and have issues even when you have key fobs. Lived a lot of places and while this wasn't the worst it was pretty close to it. The maintenance staff are definitely the only bright light there and loved how quick and professional they were when I did need something.
I shopped around for 6 months and it was pretty quick for me on my first tour this was my new home. All of my neighbors are so nice and sweet. The place is in the perfect location. From morning workout places, mid-day lunch options, and mid-night Buc-ee's run. Weekends you're walking distance and even driving distance to best places to go in New Braunfels. All of the nearby food options are amazing! If you have a bad day, you're walking distance from an alcoholic ice cream shop. It's a very quiet place, I don't have noisy neighbors. The Wi-Fi is great working from my apartment. The staff is kind, quick to answer, and cares about the apartment. The amenities are really nice. I don't have a dog, but dogs are everywhere and really friendly. Really great Apartment!!!
My move in was such an amazing experience. I am new to the area and was so lost when it came to the New Braunfels area. The staff at The Current not only made my move in such a simple, carefree process, but also went above and beyond by taking the time to make me feel welcome to the area. They let me know about the town, all the neighboring shops, good places to eat in town, things to do... I am so excited to not only live at The Current, but now also in New Braunfels! The people in this office truly care about the residents moving to this community. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking to live in the New Braunfels area.

Worst Leasing Experience that I have ever encountered in my 7 years of renting apartments. The Current posted apt availability for 4/16 on their website. I even signed a lease with them for a move-in date of 4/16. Then, on 4/15, at 4:30PM, the Current calls me to tell me that the earliest that I can move in is 5/1. This management company caused me to have to cancel my movers, book a hotel for an extra week, and take off a day of work to hunt down a new apartment. If I could rate this company as a 0, I would have. I would highly advise anyone against renting an apartment here.

As a brand-new development, we are required to do one final fire inspection to ensure our building is ready to welcome our residents into their new home. While we were fully prepared for this inspection, it was unfortunately delayed, resulting in a delay in obtaining our certificate of occupancy.
