Property Ratings at The Dakota at Bishop Arts
This place has become a dump. Office staff rarely answer the phone when you call numerous times. My unit does not have hot water in the kitchen and it has yet to be fixed after multiple maintenance request. I’m counting down the days until my lease is up and I can get come better customer service this is ridiculous!!!!
Ever since this property was sold, it has gone downhill. Loud parties at night (people shooting music videos in the parking lots), the parking is horrible (my car was hit 3 times and I paid for parking), bugs would come often (I had to have pest control come every Friday), unjustifiable fees, unmaintained premises, no space for pets, they no longer have courtesy officers on premises (my neighbor beat his wife and I would hear it every other night), lastly the staff are very rude. I expressed issues and the front staff was completely dismissive. For what you pay here you can stay someplace with more amenities and a staff that actually cares about your living space.
The locaton is perfect, but this complex has no elevators only stairs. Also recently the grounds are not cleaned and the stairwells are filthy. With better upgrades and management staff I would renew but I will not be returning.
Horrible management group, and the property is dirty. Just one walk through the premises and you will see it is poorly maintained. Hallways smell of trash!! Overpriced for the quality you get truly....
I was a loyal resident for 3 years, paid on time and gave proper 60 day notice before vacating the premises. After moveout I was hit with an almost $1000 move out bill for carpet replacement and paint. Sounds a bit excessive considering this type of maintenance is expected after a long term renter. Still management was unable to work with me at All to get the cost down considering I had paid over $42,000 to them over the 3 years. Really sucks to be treated so badly so I do not recommend this property for the poor customer service.
Great location. Caring staff. Beautiful grounds.
Great place to live!
Levi and Andrew are very attentive management. Cruz is awesome in the maintenance of the complex. The grounds are very well kept. I feel very happy and secure here.
Management staff is extremely responsive. They are friendly and courteous. They have striven to make my move as smooth as possible. Community amenities are above and beyond.
I love it here it is fairly quiet, diverse, and I love the amenities!!
Lovely ducked off property. Not noisy, and I have an amazing pool view.
Bell Bishop Arts has an excellent staff who cares about the quality of the residence.
Bell Bishop has quick services, polite encounters, and will always work with you to put your comfort, safety and living experience first.
Bell Bishop Arts Team is amazing! Couldnt have asked for a greater place to call home.
My wife and I have lived at BBA for almost a year and we love this place! The apartments are beautiful, the location is great, and the staff and maintenance are very friendly and helpful! The only downside is the limited parking. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone though!

We have lived at Bell Bishop Arts for about 18 months now and are very happy to be here. The staff is amazing and the location is great - close to shopping, restaurants and medical facilities. We rented a garage which eliminates the parking problems associated with apartment living!
Great place to live. Wonderful staff.
I love living at this apartment complex. Its pretty close to everything in Dallas - and its close enough to the Bishop Arts area without being in all the chaos. The rates are super affordable (compared to other complexes in the city of Dallas) and I love that its a small complex.
My experience thus far has been a great one and I love my unit. The leading agents who work in the leasing office are amazingly helpful, respectful and attentive. I love it here and my neighbors are of all ages, backgrounds and race and I love that. I also had a very great pre move in tour of the property with Mr. Moekyns.
Clean, safe, relatively quiet community in a great location! Friendly, knowledgeable office and maintenance staff ensure that our needs are met in a timely fashion. We are really happy that we chose Bell Bishop Arts when relocating to Dallas!!
I have been very well taken care of living at Bell Bishop Arts. The staff are very responsive and know what they're doing. Always courteous and cheerful. I like it here.
Ive been a resident for 5 years, and have really enjoyed my experience at BBA. The administration is friendly and responsive, and the maintenance staff is outstanding!
la alberca es muy bonita y la entrada huele muy rico
Es muy buen vecindario y tranquilo para vivir
I have greatly enjoyed living here! The office staff are kind and attentive! Very welcoming.
Bell Bishop Arts Apartments are a great place to live but beware if you drive a SUV or Truck of some sort good luck parking behind the gate after dark because the spaces are too narrow to be able to get in or out of your vehicle even for a car
Nice, well kept, safe community in a great location. Convenient to a lot of fun things to do in Dallas!
I find BBA a great place to live. The apartments and resources are perfect for me and the staff is superb.
We have lived here for four months now and are very happy with the way the community is maintained. So happy that we chose Bell Bishop Arts for our new home!
Bell Bishop is the best small apartment community
True sense of community. Staff action consistently show appreciation of my decision to live here, always welcoming.
I love this little community and area! I enjoy living here and I will definitely be renewing my lease until I graduate with my masters degree.
2nd years here and I love it! Quiet neighbors and excellent maintenance staff! No loud pool parties, although we have a few resistance pool events yearly. Staff is very prompt on getting back to a questions or concerns and are always open for suggestions. Everything on this property is upscale and up to date. Parking can be an issue at times for visitors but plenty of neighborhood parking. Definitely pet friendly. Able to get your living area painted from complex (with an extra few) Office open 7 days a week.

The entire staff at Bell Bishop Arts made my moving process seamless and enjoyable. I look forward to calling this home for a long time.
The first month has been great! Office and maintenance crews are on top of everything and we have gotten immediate responses to every question or problem that we've had. Great location!
Bell bishop arts es de las mejores comunidades que he vivido por su buen servicio y reputacion
Well for all those saying that parking is an issue, here is your evidence: $4000 worth of damage. Absolutely no cameras in place and the unpleasant property manager said there are no plans to put them up and they aren’t required to as well. If you are going to build apartments, why don’t you build enough parking spaces so that cars don’t get hit. I asked what the company is doing to fix the issue or how they can make it up to me (I.e offer me a reserved spot) and she said “it is what it is” with a pompous smile on her face. The gates don’t even work so they remain open 24/7 AND the doors leading into the building never work so any bum off the street can just walk right into the building. My advice: you can find something similar, in a nicer area, with much better parking for cheaper.
Property Manager at The Dakota at Bishop Arts, Responded To This Review
Hi Chris, thank you for leaving a review. We are very sorry to learn about your car! The parking at Bell Bishop Arts has been an issue of which the property is aware; unfortunately at this time, there is not anything they can do to expand the lot. We sincerely apologize and wish there were more we could do. - Lindsay, Bell Customer Service
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE my apartment! Its' spacious, the amenities are fab, & its very secure. I have an awesome view of oakcliff & downtown. Coming from a very noisy complex, it is very quiet! All I ever hear is the white noise from the street. It's literally my vacation home at home.
I toured this property in October. While the leasing representative was professional and informative during the visit, I ultimately choose a different property based on the comments here about the parking issues and from a current tenant who expressed dismay over the level of noise from the neighbors. It's a beautiful looking apartment complex though.
Great rent rates for the location, beautiful upgraded units and lovely staff. My biggest issue has been parking, and upon exiting the apartment there are several obstructions that block your view making it a little dangerous. Nevertheless, I still love it here....great community events. Keep up the good work!
I had been on a mission to find an apartment in Dallas that offered washer/ dryer in a decent area. During my searches I I stumbled upon bell bishop arts apartment using apartments.com. Decided to go up to the location and the service was amazing, the staff is super friendly really helpful and answer any and all questions I had during the apartment searching and renting process. They were also very friendly with the process offering suggestions and guiding me with all questions I had about utilities area and everything they offer, this place is great! They have an awesome pool, free gym, and are pet friendly so I could bring my pet along with me. The apartment is overall a green apartment. Which is always nice to hear in terms of the environment. This place really takes the hassle out of getting an apartment and the trooms looks so nice and modern. My apartment is so cozy and comfortable. The only complaint I could make is the price of each room but it's well worth the price for how comfortable , safe, pleasant, convenient, and modern this place feels and I love it.
Leasing staff are super friendly and go above and beyond for their renters. Amenities are kept clean and there's hardly ever any loud pool parties. The apartments are modern and have modern up to date appliances. W/D are HE and energy efficient. It can be a bit noisy if you face the street but nothing has kept me from falling asleep The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the lack of parking. It can sometimes be hard to find a space. Also the gate has been broken for about 3 months. They keep the residents in the loop about the progress on the gate though.
First, The Village is a great community to live in! All the monthly activities are fun as well as the country club. Every staff member I have seen is helpful. Northbridge is one of the newer complexes and is great. I live in a spacious 3 bedroom and we love it. The maintenance always comes when needed within 24 hours! The rest of the staff is also very helpful. The pools are pretty and also fun for friends to join.
