This is a great place to live if you want your car stolen. The gate never works so anyone can get here and steal anything from you.

Where do I start. So upon moving in the apartment was completely dirty, uncleaned and looked a mess. The carpet had pee stains They sent someone out to clean which they barely did and to change carpet the next day and I tried to move forward with living here. Next day I got a notice on door to evict because they messed up with the amount that was owed but if I owed how would I even get my keys to apartment. I called and they said it’s mandatory to leave notices and just pay the small difference. So I did and continued to try to enjoy my new place since I’m in a brand new state but nooo that’s not all. The apartment was infested with tiny black bugs that were biting me up all night!!! So I did reach out snd told them I will be terminating my lease. Mind you this all happened within the week of me staying there. Only reason two stars and not one because they returned my fees and apologized but other than that these apartments are horrible and would look else where if I was you. The elevator and complex smells like pee and just dirty overall.

Nice apartments! I'm new to Houston. This transition has been really challenging to say the least. Simone & Rose are truly sent from the heavens above. I love my new home. The complex seem pretty safe and secured. There are a few pools, the gym, dog park, outside cooking place, fire place etc. The Dawson location is PERFECT! Everything you need is in walking distance. I can't make this up. I recommend this place for you.

Lived here nearly 5 years. In the first month, there were two notices of criminal activity, which I appreciated that they informed us, but over time, they didn't communicate enough about activity (and this was before the change in management). However, I am thankful I have never felt unsafe or witnessed any criminal activity. Even being a single woman, I have felt safe in the parking garage. There is always parking (I don't mind parking on the 5th floor if I get home late - I have lived places that had literally no parking.) It is conveniently located walking distance to a Kroger, Walgreens, McDonalds/ChickFilA, and a liquor store. The worst things? Yes it is loud. Most of the noise is average (music, talking in the corridors past my door, doors slamming) and during evenings, but these units have SUPER thin walls and ceilings, so you can hear footsteps, loud pets, and can almost hear full conversations if it's quiet enough. Entering/existing the complex from Briar Forest is awful in the mornings and especially from 3PM-6PM (there is a school up the road and making the U-turn is a pain. It can be difficult for delivery drivers to locate the complex. I don't think it's super dirty, but yes I've seen dog poop and trash places. They use Fetch to deliver packages because their leasing office could not handle it. They have electrical door locks, so if the battery goes out, you're locked out. Your key fob may also need to be fixed. I've had issues for the last 2 years and got locked out twice. My rent increased just over $200 over the span of 4-5 years, but the last time I renewed, I asked for options to switch units, and they did not offer me any specials or deals considering I had lived here for so long. On to the next!

The management team here is wonderful and always a helping hand. Shout out to MALLORY! You’re awesome. I recently moved here and I was in the cypress area of 529 and barker cypress a “busy area” so honestly I don’t mind the “loud” noises. We live by busy roads, it’s called industrialism, if you want a quiet place, than live in the country. I love it here! All the Residents I’ve been in contact have been all friendly as well :) plus a bonus is Chick-fil-A is right in front of the complex so I’m not complaining. Also, the dog park is my furson favorite part of The Dawson!

I wish I would have read resident reviews before I signed my lease. Big mistake on my part. The community is impossibly loud- may as well be living outside on the street. Note that there is a fire station very near - you will hear the sirens blaring while the firetruck is waiting for the light to change at the intersection. Walls are SO thin, next to unbelievable how much noise is generated. As others have mentioned , the complex is dirty and unsafe. And expensive. Please look elsewhere !
I absolutely love this community. It is always well kept and the management is definitely better than the last! James is always so helpful and the staff is very attentive. These people that are complaining about everything are jokes. Please keep up the good work guys. :)

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place has to be the worst ran apartment complex I have ever lived in. It is unsafe, trash everywhere and the management team does not care about anything. The walls are thin, expect to hear a lot of noise after midnight on any night & strangers coming in the gate anytime as they please. If you don't mind marijuana smell, tons of that on any corner.

Management does not help whatsoever. Big loads of trash are always lying in hallways or in the garage, it is disgusting. It is a very dirty place once you find out who your residents are. Nothing is ever fixed, loud complex. Good luck sleeping. I feel it is not safe, gates are always open. Break ins every month. Horrible experience at The Dawson. Worst place.
Walls are thin, you will hear everything noise. Once the weekend starts, the place is more like a club. Get ready for break in emails in the garage, the security is ran by a mall cop who is never present. Management doesn't care for any complaints or ever get back to you to fix issues. I am glad I will be leaving this place very soon.
At some point in the middle of every night, car alarms are going off... most of them because the cars are being towed out of the garage. This place is tow happy. So, with the noise from the tow trucks, the car alarms, the thin walls, and the very loud lawn equipment that just fired up at 7:45am this Saturday morning, it is always ALWAYS impossible to get a whole night's sleep here. I am absolutely exhausted. What are we paying for if we can't have one bit of peace to sleep here. The apartment looks great; but, I am actually starting to think I will need to go stay in a hotel or with friends to get some rest. It is absolutely every single night. I know they love the towing, but can't they tow during the day or in the morning or earlier evening? They are towing non-resident cars in the middle of the night at the great expense of the health and wellness of their residents... who are literally paying to sleep here. So, the cars disappear, helping no one at all by that time, and the side effect of that medicine is that you wake up the whole community every single night. It doesn't make any sense at all. And really, whose fault is it that there isn't enough parking here? Bad planning.

I lived there for over 12 months but i had to break the lease and move out, Crimes and loud noises that will make anyone move out, it's not safe and it's not quite, besides the bad management and the fact that they give you an attitude when you talk to them, they are the worse so far...

Wow, I have been at this facility for nearly a year. Thank god my lease is up soon and I can vacate. It is a shame that a quality facility like this one is so mismanaged and has such a low standard for accepting residents. I say that with certainty, I have a suspicion that my neighbors are drug dealers. You are taking a serious risk parking your vehicle in the garage because it is subject to burglary or worse yet car theft. My BMW 650 was stolen from the garage..amazing how all of the security cameras "malfunctioned". Non residents come and go at all hours of the night unimpeded because there is no longer any security presence. Criminal activity takes place and residents are not notified. Heck, you cant even get notification that you have a package at the front office most of the time. It has gotten comical it is so pathetic. Why anyone would pay $2k per month for this is beyond me. I guess I should have done a little more digging rather than accept the sales deception. Shame on me..Let the buyer beware!

The staff is very rude to there tenants and doesn't make you feel like your "at home". When request anything all ladies in the office operate at their own pace and do as they wish. People that work in the front become very rude to you when you don't pronounce there name correctly, so instead of correcting the pronunciation, the lady just ignores me when I say hello. When requesting anything there's a sense of attitude with most if not all staff. This is a very nice apartment however the way people make you feel is the other half of "luxury" people look for. Very disappointed and don't recommend these terrible vibes to anyone. Also, I tried to send a friend to move in and the lady helping him was also rude to him which is why he ended up moving to Briar forest Lofts.
Deceiving - not what you would expect. Very poor unorganized office staff, inconvenience office hours, constantly changing office/property rules, lost packages, maintenance requests are never treated as an emergency, gates and electronic key doors fail to work often, the residents are NOT who you would want for neighbors, paper thin construction between floors.
Living at Alexan Enclave is more then just renting. There so much more to do here, for example the apartment offers two pools one lap pool with a shallow drop off area great for sitting and socializing, and another pool with drop offs as well and a beautiful water fountain wall, there are 7 gas bbq pits that can be used at anytime with nice canopies over them, they don't protect against rain but mildly block the sun. There is a office center with 2 macs and 2 windows computers the printer always has ink and they provide paper. The office center also has a conference room that you can rent out or just walk in and start to work . In the lobby there is also a a chefs kitchen marble tables two Tvs sofas in the other side of lobby, is a sports room there is a full size pool table, refrigerator and two more Tvs with a duffle puck table and more sofas. The best thing of the lobby is the Coffee machine!! We will go and get that urge for hot coca or coffee at 10:00 once Starbucks is closed and we can always go in the lobby and get some. Late lunch I have been using the gym, I stop my membership at LA Fitness because this gym has everything I need it's a two story state of the art facility with free weights yoga and cardio machines. There are two buildings with a car garage and elevators on one side of the property and are connected with two sky bridges to the third building this one is where I call home I am on the first floor in the patio area believe or not but even when people are outside using the fire pit or bbqing you can't hardly hear them. Which is amazing.. I love my apartment it is a great price for everything there is to use and do, I have a one bedroom large living room and kitchen with washer and dryer included a hallway in my bathroom, so you know it's spacious and a walk in closet. The appliances are stainless steel my refrigerator has a ice machine and water dispenser. Over all this apartment is amazing and a great place to live.
