Property Ratings at The Dens on Martin
They raised the rent over $500 from what we were paying, and refused to fix anything unless you paid for it. You don’t get any notice for them coming in at all and they blatantly tell you they aren’t giving notice. Absolutely no respect. They painted the warm beige walls and dark wood cabinets all white and it sucked the life out of the place and made it look cold. It looks atrocious and bland. They painted over the rust all over the rails and pillars so it’s just a matter of time before it comes back. They scraped the numbers off the doors and crappily painted over it so you can still see the numbers and the scrape marks. The paint got on the walkways and left marks on the walls. All the walkways have cracks, birds poop on everything in the summer (the live in the ceilings of the walkways) and you have to walk under swarms of spiders half the year because they get into the walls and cracks and the exterminator wasn’t fixing the problem. Cut my bike locks off without notifying me because I got their email well before the time they said they would and my bike was GONE. There’s an apt on the first floor that floods every time it rains and you have to put sandbags down and the rain still gets in. There’s mold on the ceilings of the apt I’m currently in cause I knew the old resident and she said they just painted over it after she brought up concerns. Overall this place isn’t worth it, and the new landlords are obnoxious. 10/10 would never go back.
They changed management like 3 times since we've had our lease here. They don't keep track of your rent and will evict you if you're trusting enough to not ask for receipts. They don't even give you documentation, so you better keep ALL receipts if you're desperate enough to move here. They also don't spray for bugs and there are spiders everywhere outside our door. They didn't even keep up with changing our air filter in our apartment. They only changed it 2xs in the 12 months we've been here. Our air has gone out 3xs and they have yet to replace it and take forever to get someone to fix it. And Goodluck getting a hold of someone, these people do not like answering their phone. Again, do NOT move here, this place is horrible.
