Good location and great communication with management and staff! Sad to go I rented for about a year here just purchased my home but would definitely recommend anyone looking for a safe space!

This place is horribly managed. They will never fix anything you submit but will gaslight you and tell you that's how it's supposed to be. Air condition nor cooling down, dishwasher having rat droppings and rust, etc. You will not get your deposit back. the place is infested with roaches, doesn't matter how clean you keep your place, they come in from outside. the apartment is nice looking but management has ran it to the ground. Run away from this place. Any 5 star review you see here is from management. I hope this review saves the next person from this horrible place.

After 2-1/2 years living here for over two years I would like to say thank you to the management of this apartment complex for all the great service, Esmeralda, the manager, always helpful. It's been a pleasure living in in the District Apartments and I highly recommend.

We enjoyed staying in this apartment for a little over 2yrs. The management was good. Ms. Esmeralda is very helpful and responds immediately to our concerns and requests. The apartment compound is well kept as well. We definitely recommend The Disctrict Apartment! Thank you for the memories!

I lived in this apartment for almost 2 years. I left there early because I moved to the house. I took a walk there every day and got along very comfortably with the people I met. Peaceful, safe, and nice place and people. Actually, the apartment manager, Esmeralda was always kind to everyone and tried her best to solve all the problems. If someone needs an apartment, I would recommend this place. Thank you.

I stayed at the District apartments for approximately a year. The location is great because theres a lot of places nearby like Starbucks and Walmart. The apartments aren’t very new but are maintained clean and well kept. It’s a calm and quiet place to live and management is always on top of any problems that might occur.

Love Love Love this place! I am going to miss the pool :(. Props to the new manager for always making you feel at home. Leave your apartment clean and you will get all of your deposit back as I did.

There is no better place to move in. Moved from SF and I can tell you it is the best place to live in McAllen, Maintenance staff is great and the Property Manager is always so helpful.

I have been living here for 1 month and I think it is an excellent place of luxury, quality and excellence in services. I moved from Miami, thanks to the support and guidance of the manager Esmeralda I had no difficulty signing the contract and having access to all the services they provide: SPA, swimming pool, Yacusy, cable with channels included, garbage, parking, laundry inside of the apartment, fire alarm, lighting, maintenance, carpeted floor and all internal parts of the apartment are in perfect condition and with the required quality. Highly recommended to live safely and also very economical.

I am a recently moved resident just a month ago and I am delighted with my apartment. Really the condo has excellent conditions the cleanliness is very good the quality of the facilities is marvelous. it also has beautiful modern apartments, spacious and very bright. I am very happy with my apartment, which has very good quality and is located in a quiet and safe area. Mrs. Esmeralda in charge of the building is very hospitable, pleasant and always ready to advise and help. Absolutely recommended

So far the location is good but mostly all the amenities it offers are broken or slow. Gym has a lot of broken machines. Kids game room is an old game consel and computer in the office is super slow. Sauna is not really that great. Mens sauna is always out of service. The pool is good. Last 2 years inside the apartment I have had 2 water leaks and cockroaches galore and thousands of bugs. Stains on tile floor won’t go away so I have brown spots that can’t be covered. Plain and simple for the price $$$ it needs to be updated.

It’s a clean and nice atmosphere. There was a park for the kids , no issues at all.I loved.??

When I signed up for my lease, I was over the top excited about moving in. They showed me my actual apartment, which is a great size and nice interior, but the amenities are where my jaw dropped from how nice they were. Fast forward to actually living here and I’ve noticed the amenities are not what they seem. If you use the gym, you’ll be lucky if more than 1 treadmill works. A lot of machines will stop working and they never get fixed. Each time I’ve tried using the sauna, it doesn’t work. They took off the basketball court so don’t be fooled by that picture they have. The washers and dryers they have need to be fixed, the dryers don’t dry the clothes. The actual apartment is nice on the inside. The outside does look pretty old and torn apart, but interior is nice. Only problem I’ve ever had is the bugs, and my apartment is on the second story. Also shower is clearly old, but other than that, interior is nice. For what you’re paying, the amenities need to be fixed or at least own up to what is being shown.

Ms. Ochoa was so nice and kind she answered all my questions and all my doubts I had about the facility and the apartments. The facility and the clubhouse are very lovely the complex itself was very nice very clean everything was very put together ! Definetly recommend !

I just signed my lease and everything went so smoothly. I love all of the amenities and the overall environment of the apartments. As a single mom I feel very safe and happy with the amenities my kids can take advantage of. Great service too!

The place office wise and amenities are amazing it draws you in Esmeralda is amazing but what they advertise is not what they give you. My apartment though it was cleaned looked dirty the carpet was stained. They offered to replace the carpet but had to give up my special. I had to turn on the lights before my move in date so they clean. Also when we went to see the apartments we were told we would get remotes for the gate. They were of remotes we for codes. There was a dead roach in the master bathroom. By the way we had to pay the deposit to hold apartment and when we try to void the contract (my fault I should of never signed before seeing the apartment they had for me). So we tried to void the contract as we never took possession or moved in they wanted to keep the deposit. Don’t get me wrong the amenities are amazing and Esmeralda my hats off to her, but I want to come home to my apartment not the amenities. We were forced to accept the contract and wait the time of the lease not to loose money. Word advice to Anyone searching for Apartments have them show you the apartment they are planning to move you before you put any money down. Don’t let yourself be taken in with amenities because you aren’t going to live the office. I felt lied to and cheated.

I have just moved out, and it has been hands down my best apartment rental in McAllen. You really get your money's worth here. The service they have is great. I would work out at 8 am and the gym is open, after that I would go to the jacuzzi and the steam room. You have a pretty big pool which is always nice. Also, you don't have to go to the office to put in a work order. With the app where you pay your rent you can also add & track your work orders. Think that's about all!

10/10 Recommend. After moving between apartments in McAllen, I found the District the best of them all. Management is super nice, they make you feel like home. Amenities are great, and the people that live there are super nice. My apartment was as good as new, really the best experience I had. Very underpriced.

They always find a way to take your deposit at the end. Agter 2-3 months you will want to leave. You can find the exterior of every building is old, and Very deteriorated.

The apartments are old. Carpets are old and the management dont want to change it. Then at tje end of the lease they take your deposit. Refrigerator and kitchen are old, and has grace on it. Bath old and no clean. You can hear everything from the lower or upper floor.

I have lived at the district apartments for the past year and have nothing to say but good thing. The new management and staff are all great people and very prompt in making sure we all are taken care of. My husband and I enjoy the sparkling pool and workout early in the morning in the fully equipped gym. Our experience at The District Apartments has been the best and has helped a lot with our transition in moving to Texas much easier. Everyone has been very welcoming towards as. Best place to live.

mi experiencia en the distric ha sido excelente tengo un mes viviendo aqui y los departamentos te los entregan como si estuvieran nuevos todo funcionando perfectamente mi esposo y yo nos encanta ir el sauna y jacuzzi trabajan bien y muy limpios en el gym no hemos batallado con las maquinas siempre estan funcionando, su manejadora y staff siempre estan al pendiente de las necesidades de nosotros el ambiente es muy agradable con los vecinos los recomiendo apliamente vivir aqui

El apartamento de muestra es muy bonito, pero despues que se va a mover a su apartamento definitivo todo cambia. Las alfombras son viejas. Y estan gastadas. El gymnacio , las machinas son viejas y generalmente estan siempre rotas. Ennpocas ocasiones puedes usar el gym 100-%. Se escuchan todos los ruidos de tus vecinos, los de arriba, aunque vivas arriba, siempre vas a escuchar todo.
