Southeast Boise winds its way along the eastern banks of the Boise River, a patchwork quilt of green and brown stitched by tidy rows of suburban homes. As the largest neighborhood in the city, this location offers something for everyone. Historic homes surrounding the university attract young, artistic types, while families flock to modern subdivisions. Designed with families in mind, most homes in these subdivisions have schools within walking distance.
Wedged between downtown Boise and some of Idaho's most prominent employers, residents of this area don't waste hours commuting. Drive less than four miles northwest and reach the city center in about ten minutes.
Easy access to mountains and forests draws every kind of outdoor enthusiast. Take effortless day hikes or grab your tent and seek refuge in the woods for an entire weekend. Fish, hunt or simply take photographs of the unspoiled wilderness.

Property Ratings at The District at Parkcenter
Over the course of the last ten years, I have enjoyed a career that has taken me from Coast to Coast. I can honestly say that "The District" is the best complex/community that I have lived in. Relaxing at the beautiful pool, grilling and watching football games on the large outside TV, living close to everything Boise, dealing with the most caring and attentive manager, leasing assistant, maintenance, and advocates, made for a carefree spring and summer. Parking is never a hassle. There is a spot for my bike. Even the mailman goes out of his way to get things right for newcomers. I highly recommend "The District."

I have lived at The District for almost a year and can't say enough about what a special place it is. Jocelyn and her team are so kind and inclusive. They care for the facilities as though they were their own. The activities at the community room and pool are so well planned. The live band and Italian buffet this weekend was great fun! Another favorite was the barbecue during the first Boise State away game. So glad I chose The District at Parkcenter!

I have been living in Boise for the past 6 years now and over a year at the District. The District is one of the best apartments you can find in the Boise. The management staff here are the best I have ever seen, especially - Jocelyn, Lauren, Victoria and Jordan. They have a wonderful maintenance team and a good emergency call center as well. Overall very satisfied !

These apartments are awesome! They are new and up to date (which is hard to find in Boise in my opinion) and had great amenities. I would definitely recommend living here!

Thank you for taking the time to review and for the recommend! Boise is such a beautiful place to call home and we're thrilled to be one of the newest communities here.
(Part 2) Poor Management – I completely reject this complaint. Let me begin with a story: A couple weeks into our lease, we experienced a number of power outages in our apartment. During this time, management paid for us to stay in a hotel, reimbursed us for our meals out while we could not cook in our apartment, and significantly reduced our rent the following month as recompense for the inconvenience. They were gracious, and the picture of professionalism throughout the entire process. The management at the District is fantastic. They are understanding and flexible whenever issues arise, and they have gone the extra mile to meet our needs when they did not have too. They are very easy to communicate with if only you will make the short 100-foot journey from any of the apartment buildings to their offices. They genuinely care about the residents and make an intentional effort to invest in relationships with them. They regularly host social events for the residents, which we always enjoy, and quite frankly, they are worth getting to know as individuals. I don’t have enough good things to say about them. Now, though I know I am being rather long-winded, I want to conclude with a few final thoughts. - The location is ideal. You have easy access to downtown and the greenbelt. - The facilities are similarly great. The clubhouse is the perfect place to host friends, spend a quiet day working, or to just curl up by the fireplace with a good book. The gym, while a little sparse and in need of heavier dumbbells, is still a great and convenient place to get your workouts in. The pool provides the perfect refreshment in the Summer, and a great social setting to have friends over for a barbecue and some bocce ball - The apartments are well laid out and great for entertaining. I especially enjoyed the centrality of our kitchen. It was really the focal point of our apartment. All in all, our experience at the District was superb. It was our first apartment as a married couple, and we will always have fond memories of the place. I highly recommend it!

We really appreciate all the great feedback and will take your suggestions about the equipment in the fitness center into serious consideration. Thank you again for sharing your experience and for choosing The District at Parkcenter.
(Part 1) My wife and I lived here for about eleven months, and we loved it! Please read my entire review if you are considering moving to the District. I’ll express most of my thoughts in my responses to the other criticisms I have seen: Poor construction – Honestly, this is a legitimate criticism. We did find things like our doors and hinges, bathroom fixtures, and blinds, or lack thereof, to be of inferior quality. Additionally, there are quirks in the construction that don’t make a lot of sense. For example, the bedroom built next to the stairwell. That being said, the all-granite countertops, flooring, quality appliances, and superior layout – which we found ideal for entertaining – more than compensated for other issues we had. Additionally, when there were maintenance issues, the staff resolved them quickly and efficiently. Rent hikes – This is legitimate. The owners (not the management) decided to raise rent by about 50%. Yes, I said 50%. Don’t worry though, they were quickly humbled by the market, which told them their prices were ridiculous for the Boise. Prices have since returned to normal levels. Noise Complaints – This too is legitimate. In particular, there is a small minority of residents who think it is okay to play loud music late into the night and abuse the pool facility (think mini Vegas of sorts, i.e. intoxicated individuals playing loud music, making generally poor decisions, and abusing the facility). However, I know that management has taken concrete steps to ensure that the pool will not be misused as it was last year, and I believe they will be successful in executing. Additionally, a fair number of the more disrespectful residents have moved out; perhaps the folly of the owners will still pay some dividends (many of them left when rent was raised). See Part 2 as well.
I love the layout and the view from my apartment. However, living next to the stairs is horrible. The genius who designed this building put the bedroom right next to the common staircase which reverberates when someone is going up or down, which in turn causes the whole bedroom to shake (this is especially delightful between 0230-0530). I can always hear my upstairs neighbor and am never at a loss for where he is in his apartment. There is no sound insulation and the construction is sub-par. Management seems oblivious to the loudness of these buildings and is dismissive with their "day-time hours" rhetoric, but hey! come by the office for cupcakes! It is often hard to concentrate or have a quiet moment. I concur with a previous commenter, neighbors are loud at all hours. It is akin to living in a college dorm. To top it all off I just received a notice my rent is set to increase $400.00 a month. Yes, I said $400.00 a month. I doubt I will have improved amenities for that outrageous hike so will likely be looking to live elsewhere.

Thank you for taking the time to review. We're very sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced and would love the opportunity to take a better look at the stairwell area near your residence. If you can submit your concerns to the office, we would be more than happy to see if there is anything that can be done. Unfortunately the noise from neighbors is a common occurrence in apartment living, but we take excessive noise issues very seriously and would be willing to take a deeper look if this is case. It is our goal to create an enjoyable community for all of our residents throughout all the exclusive features available to you and hope that you can give us the chance to address your concerns in a thorough and effective manner. We hope you will stop by when you're able and discuss. Thank you for being our guest.
I'm not sure what the other reviews are talking about. Part of the problem here is the lack of respect tenants have for other tenants. I've had to make a noise complaint because my neighbors were partying at 3am. Completely inappropriate for apartment living! Further more inappropriate music was played LOUDLY at the pool while others were either trying to relax or had their children present. Again, lack of respect. But hey! If you love to party this place is for you!
Horrible management. They don't respond to questions or return phone calls; they consistently over promise and under deliver. The owner(s) own storage units and decided to try their luck at owning and managing apartments; apparently they think apartments are nothing more than storage units and treat their residents accordingly. Craftsmanship of apartments is shoddy. For example, our closet doors don't have all the screws in them so they don't close properly. Both of our bathtubs had to be re-caulked because they cracked less than six months after moving in (we moved into a brand new unit). And we don't use one of our tubs. If you know anything about construction, you will be less than impressed with the quality of your apartment. Lights in our main building hallways flicker often and need to be replaced; they will flicker for weeks before someone replaces them. They don't have recycling. They said it was coming on a specific date and on said date, they then sent out and email saying the property was on a waitlist to receive recycling bins. This is an example of their over promising and under delivering. Office staff is snotty and leave passive aggressive notes on property for residents. Over priced. Would give less stars if possible. The only positive about this place is it's location.

We are truly sorry to hear of your disappointment. For all items needing repair within your apartment please contact me directly: mdevore@5bi.com and I will make sure the repairs are scheduled for immediate completion. Regarding the recycling dumpster. I just verified we are currently scheduled for delivery on the 16th. We have been told multiple times since our first announcement of a delivery and are equally frustrated with the delay.
