Property Ratings at The District
I would say if you are looking forward to have a pool during summer months stay away. Moved in without visiting the property, and was pleased with my choice. However, that opinion changed months later. Pros: The location is great for our needs. Also enjoy that where our apartment is, it doesn’t feel like we are in the city. We have not taken the advantage of when food trucks arrive during the week, however like that idea. Cons: Pool: First year here, the pool was closed here and there. It was closed from end of April through June 6th once the pool opened due to repairs and inspection from the city. Then right back on July 5th, the pool was closed again due to issue with a part. They reopened the pool at the end of July due to the part being replaced. It was frustrated with the pool but understandable things out of their control. Now current summer of 2024. Pool was opened to enjoy however due to residents actions at the pool. In May; was decided to close the pool on Sundays and closed at the end of the day when the leasing office closed. June 17th, the office to close the pool until further notice. No reason why. Sure maybe due to actions of residents in the complex but it is punishment to everyone else. Same problems as last year with people but they never closed the pool for it. Sure, I don’t care for some actions at the pool (smoking, rude people (adults or kids), or parents not watching their kids but still look forward to relaxing at the pool. There is always going to be rude inconsiderate people, people not respecting others or policies are going to be found everywhere we go… that’s life. Other downs falls, just normal apartment life, loud vehicles and residents. Thin walls or just neighbors that don’t care and turn their device up so everyone can hear or smell. Security drove around at night for awhile, no longer. Cars now have been broken into and even stolen. Broken down cars that sit for months unmoved. Feels like constantly changing portals on making rent.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns about our pool access. We will resume normal hours for this amenity as soon as our new courtesy officer begins working on July 1; hours were changed temporarily to minimize policy violations among some residents. Additionally, changes to our processing were implemented to provide more options for residents to make electronic rent payments. If you would like to discuss these or any other matter further, please feel free to email us at thedistrict@alapts.com.
Super amazing place to live. The vibe is good, people are chill, and the apartments are spectacular and at a decent price. Also, we love all the staff and our favorite is Ameko! She made us feel 100% confident about making this our home.
Property Manager at The District, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your 5-star review of our atmosphere and homes! It is always a pleasure to hear that our high-quality offerings are meeting our residents' expectations. Rest assured that Ameko will continue to work closely with the rest of our team to ensure you have access to everything you need.
I've been living here for 5 years and though I Enjoyed the previous staff and Management team, there have been so many Improvements. They Enforced the Towing at night, because the complex isn't big and they're must have been allot of vehicles here that didn't belong, because now there's parking. They added improvements to the insides like a Living Room Ceiling Fan, USB Outlets, new toilets, shower heads, and a Key Fob for the front door, instead of a regular key. You can also use your cell phone to open up your door. They keep the grounds clean of debris, and they are Johnny on the spot with customer complaints, or Maintenance issues. There's a Complex Email where we all can chat, and They have Food Trucks now of different Vendors a Couple of times a week. Madison, and the Rest of the Staff Including the Maintenance Crew are one of The Best Staff of a Complex I ever lived in. Lastly I can't forget all the Improvements to the Clubhouse, gym, and pool area. The only Complaint I have is that we can no longer Rent out the Clubhouse for free or at all as Residents. That was a Very Nice Perk, and would be Even Nicer with all the New Ammenties added. Food for Thought. Smile and Blessings!! R.j.

When I set up my tours for apartment complexes in Charlotte, The District was first on my list. Once I saw the apartment, I cancelled the rest of my tours. This was it for me. I loved it and frankly, I never expected it to be this amazing. The leasing agent, Ms. Townsend, was the best. She was as excited as I was. I have a 1-bedroom and it's extremely spacious. I just moved last week and hopefully, this amazing experience will last throughout my journey.
Property Manager at The District, Responded To This Review
We're delighted that we made such a positive impression on you! Ms. Townsend is a true professional, and it's not surprising to hear she offered you a warm welcome. Please don't hesitate to reach out any time we can be of service.
The apartments are super spacious and lux! The location is perfect, with the Northlake Mall and Target and several restaurants within walking distance! The District is a safe place to live and honestly the management team is incredible and thoughtful and genuinely seems to care about their residents! We enjoyed our time here and recommend it! It's super close to uptown Charlotte as well as the major highways so you can get to most popular Charlotte places in under 30 mins! The only thing that is irritating is the aerators that were placed on the kitchen faucet and the shower: they installed them to preserve water but it's honestly so irritating because it makes the water pressure soooo weak and cold. Be warned if you wash plenty of dishes or like to enjoy a long hot shower!!!

Thanks so much, Lisa! We're glad to hear that you are enjoying our recent upgrades here at the District. Please let us know if you ever need anything at all!
I've been living here for four years, before Landmark took over the property. Since Landmark took over the property there have been extra fees added (why are we paying $7 a month for the trash compactor and $25 for valet trash?) and new rules. I was pretty muched forced into signing a new lease; they'll give you notice and you have ten days to sign or the rate will increase by more than $50 (a total of increase of 100-150). Needless to say I regret re-signing my lease, but I wasn't given anytime to look elsewhere. Before Landmark took over this was a great place to live, the property owners were hands off and it was a friendly enviorment. Since Landmark took over, it feel like I'm living in a coporate office with micromanagers as property owners. There's a good chance I'm gonna try to get out my lease early. The layouts are nice and the renovations are ok, tho.

I just moved in on Friday and Madison from the leasing office has been AMAZING every step of the way. I was exhausting during my apartment search and I’ve seen a lot of apartments and they are all great, but as soon as I walked into the apartment my first tour it felt like home. I was a little concerned with the price at first and then received an email that the apartment went on special and I just knew it was meant to be! Thanks again to the amazing staff for being so accommodating and lovely thus far

Welcome home, Kiwandra! We're thrilled to have you here! Our team at the District is proud to offer high-quality homes, top-notch customer service, and a comfortable community, so we're excited to receive your kind feedback. Please let us know if you ever need anything! You're always welcome in our office.
I have been living here for 2 years. I really like management. This recent year a new management team has taken over and Im excited about all the new renovations that have taken place! The new upgrade features really make the apartment more luxurious. The new management is painting and adding new amenities to overall look of The District and I am so happy. When they care it makes living here worth it! I am so excited about the new changes and the new face of these apartments. The community is fairly quiet and my neighbors respectful for the two years I have been here so no complaints on that end. Also Siedah deserves a good star. She make sure all your needs are taken care of and helps you the best way she can when you need something. One time I couldn't find a package and she tracked it down for me and found it!
We moved in December (2018) from NYC, and Siedah helped make the application process very easy and simple. She answered every question we had prior to moving in. This community is very clean, quiet and safe. It’s across from the mall, down the street from Target and about 5 minutes away from a supermarket. This property is very close to uptown and is less than 20 minutes from the airport. The office staff is beyond friendly and keeps all the residents informed. They are always coming up with different days, themes and events to keep a great community vibe. Latoya (the property manager) is the absolute best. She answered every question about renovations and responds to every email. Maintenance responds to tickets and requests in a timely professional manner. They have a really wonderful club house, gym and pool area. There are a lot of trees so you get a nice quiet comfortable feel when you are here but you’re also not far from the city life. This property is really a wonderful place to stay. I had a list of places that I visited on my initial visit; and this was first on my list. I fell involve with everything about this place and I’m very happy that I now call here home. I would ( and do) totally recommend this property to any and everyone that I know. If you want a fun calm laid back community that listens to its residents then this place is the place for you! AIsley :)

We are striving to offer stellar customer service, beautiful homes, and a comfortable community, so it's great to know that you are loving your home with us. Please let us know if you ever need anything at all! We're always here for our amazing residents.
The worst apartment I've ever lived in. Management does not care about tenants. Poorly constructed buildings. Extremely loud cracking in ceiling when neighbors walk around, wakes you up of out of a dead sleep. Haven't have a decent night sleep in weeks. Also have not been able to sleep in my own bed due to the ceiling cracking sound. Yet I'm paying full price for this place? Manager not concerned over the issue and keeps pushing it off. This specific reason was brought to their attention a week and a half ago and nothing was even started to try and "fix" the problem . On top of the cheap apartments the grounds in this place is disgusting the hallways are full of trash. Dog poop every where. Smell of cat pee in the halls. Pool is cloudy and not cared for. Trash overflowing the garage cans on the property. My husband and I are only aloud 1 key fob to get our mail and enter their "gym" which is also a joke . Save time and stress and cross this place off your list for interest. You will be unhappy here and embarrassed to have anyone over or call this place a home
This is horrible place. My neighbor intentionally set a fire. Management hasn’t done anything but told me I can’t stay there for a while. No hotel, no waiver for late rent. Not to mention the walls are extremely thin. You can hear loud footsteps echoing in the hall. I don’t need a fluffy response. You all need to actually do something.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. If we failed to meet your expectations, we sincerely apologize. We understand that considerations are being made due to this unusual situation. As you concerns are addressed, we hope that you will return to this review and post updates.
We have lived in this apartment for almost three years. The apartment itself is beautiful, spacious, and has a lot of great attributes. Charlotte is becoming expensive so the price we are paying is amazing! The apartment location is awesome. You are near the mall, all of the major grocery stores and tons of restaurants. The drive to uptown is also not that bad. I do recommend this place but I want people to know that the walls are extremely thin. You will hear everything above you and beside you. The clubhouse isn't open after 6 (only the gym). This is the dumbest rule ever. There are some sketchy people that just walk through the complex because it doesn't have gates and you might get a neighbor that smokes weed and the smell will fill up your apartment in seconds.
I've been living here for 2 years now. The apartments are big and very well located, right in front of the mall, the buss stop and a Target. The Leasing office personal is very friendly and always willing to help, maintenance tickets are easy to lift and quick to be solved, I had had no issues while living here.
I lived here for almost 3 years and I love it, management and staff are amazing maintenance request are fast and easy. Nice location close to everything. AGraham
I love The quietness and The friendly management i enjoy my friendly neighborhood. I recommend my Friends to move here. When i have a problem they come and repair The problem. I renew my lease 4 times. One GREAT community love it?
Madison Square is an awesome community. The staff is very professional. The community is neat and clean. The community is very quite. An awesome place to live.
24APR2017: I have been renting for a few years and I have never been so pleased with renting until moving here. Complex is very clean, ample parking, valet trash and top notch management. I look forward to renewing my lease. Mjean
This is a clean well managed property. The staffs are nice, friendly and professional. Highly recommended.
I have been here for about 6 months and so far so good! Madison Square is extremely spacious and beautiful! Crown molding, walk-in closets and ceiling fan are the things that really sold me on place along with affordable price. The office staff is friendly and accommodating to all of my needs. Maintenance responds in a timely manner. No more than 48 hours. Location is great, minutes away from Huntersville area, I-77 and 485. The parking at my building can be a bit stressful at times. Seems that if I'm not home right after 5 I'm out of luck. Other than that I would definitely recommend!
We have lived here for two years and working on three! People in the office are so nice and helpful. It's about 7-10min from the city and surrounded by so much! Great place to live. Mix of families, singles, couples!
April 19, 2017 I am currently a resident @ Madison Square At Northlake 10015 Madison Square Place Charlotte NC 28216 Just renew my lease; I am so enjoying my apartment. Never thought I would be so happy after having to downsize. Management and Staff are totally first class 100%, no concern is too small for them to take care of ASAP. Check it out you’ll love it! TPerdue
I currently live in the Statesman style apartment, and its very roomy and spacious! The complex as a whole is very clean and the staff is very friendly and courteous. There are only 2 very small drawbacks to this place: more parking spots are needed especially when people invite many people over to their place, and the trash pickup fee should be lowered. But other than that, this place is in the perfect spot next to Northlake Mall. It is very easy to get to 485 and there are many places to eat and have fun activities. Also in the event that you need something fixed, they are right on it immediately. If you are looking for a premium apartment living experience, then look no further than Madison Square at Northlake. I have lived here for over a year and just renewed my contract for one more year. I absolutely love it here and can't think of a better apartment in the Northlake/Huntersville area!!
