Located about an hour’s drive south of Montgomery, Troy is a historic city offering a distinct blend of small-town camaraderie and academic opportunities. Troy University calls the city home, lending a college-town atmosphere with promising educational programs and Division 1 athletics.
Officially incorporated in 1843, Troy honors its rich history with an array of monuments and museums, including the Pioneer Museum and the Johnson Center for the Arts. Troy’s historic downtown square sits at the heart of the city, brimming with unique restaurants, quaint shops, and a broad range of houses, townhomes, and apartments available for rent.
In addition to the local university, Troy’s strong sense of community is fostered by a bevy of year-round events such as TroyFest, Troy Pioneer Days, and Pike Piddlers Storytelling Festival. Convenience to U.S. 29 and U.S. 231 makes getting around from Troy simple.

Property Ratings at The District on Dozier
I love this place! Staff is always helpful and nice! Property is well manicured and maintained along with a beautiful pool! My friends and I love it here!
Don’t waste your time. Bad management, bad maintenance, bad place to be.
I have lived at The District on Dozier for three years and have loved it! They are new apartments, clean, and well kept! The staff is so nice and very helpful! They even left me a note for my Birthday on my door! I love The District!
Poor management...unprofessional manager !apartment has mold and mildew and the landlord continue to allow tenants to live there and not worry about the safety and health of tenants. Run ???????
The District on Dozier is a horrible place to live. The rent is high especially for a place that was thrown together last minute. When I moved in the apartment had a leak in the cieling and mold growing in the room with the water tank and these were brand new apartment rooms.....details with carpeting was done very sloppily. The manager Courtney is incredibly rude and arrogant and not helpful with anything that should be considered one of her job requirements. She only cares about herself and none of your problems. She absolutely sucks. When you first meet her she seems to be the nicest person on earth but soon as ou have a problem... well good luck because she’sas fake as they get and does not care. The maintenance team sucks and have no clue what they’re doing. They also take forever to get things fixed. They have no guest parking and will boot your cars. So you can’t even have friends over to study, have dinner, or just chill and watch a movie because they will for a fact be booted.
Ridiculous gnat/bug problem in every apt. You can ask anyone who lives there. Food is not safe anywhere in the house not even closed fridge
The apartments themselves are nice but kinda of expensive. Mostly young college kids and whatever you do, do not move into a first floor of this complex. You can hear every noise and if the people above you walk, you can hear ever step, every movement. If i were you I would considering moving to the highest floor of the building. There are some building that have 2 and some have 3 floors.
