Conroe is located in Montgomery County just north of Houston. Since Interstate 45 travels through Conroe and leads into Houston’s business district, residents prefer living in this suburban neighborhood and commuting to work.
It’s no secret that the cost of living in Conroe is lower than Houston. The city is attractive to many renters because of the reasonable commute times, and it’s only a seven-mile drive to Lake Conroe, a popular outdoor recreational area.
There’s a lot going on in the city – you just have to know where to look. Locals enjoy exploring the Sam Houston National Forest, which covers 163,000 acres of land and is the perfect place for camping or a scenic hike. After a lovely dinner at Red Brick Tavern, locals look forward to a musical at the Crighton Theatre on North Main Street. The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County is a great place to go and learn about the city’s evolution through the decades – and it is right next to Candy Cane Park.

Hi, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Dominion Apartments!
I love my three bedroom apartment. Having 2 two car garage is great. My husband and I don't have to search for parking everynight and when we have prople over they can park in front of my garage. The office is nice and I have not had any maintenance problems. Sure the apartments are old but the price and size make up for it.

Thank you for your kind review; we love that you are happy here at the Dominion!
Don’t live here! My AC broke down and no one is doing anything about it I’m at 93 degrees for 10 days already and we’ve called and emailed management and they won’t answer, my grandma just got back from the hospital and can’t be in these conditions especially my mom because she’s diabetic I can’t no longer afford a hotel for my family to be comfortable. Because of the heat my family and I have had headaches and have not been feeling well at all! On top of that we keep getting over charged for the insurance even though we have a email saying they received it. We also told management to change the carpet that we’ve been living in for 3 years and hasn’t been changed out and because it hasn’t been changed my family got really sick and my grandma had to go to the hospital due to the carpet. This used to be a good place to live in but not anymore and just a heads up the manager will give you an attitude if you have an issue or any sort of problem. If I could I would give this so called place a negative 5.
Moved here with high hopes! They were quickly smashed. This place is very over priced for the area! They will also nickel and dime you with fees and extra charges. You can get a much better apartment for about 2/3 the cost! I can’t wait to move out!
- Way overpriced for an older apartment. - MANDATORY trash fee with ridiculous rules, regulations and fines. - Two awful picks from cable/internet companies (good luck getting Dish, as all the apartments face each other and there are so many trees). - Exit gate is often broken. - Miss the entrance, have to turn all the way around. - Apartments not properly cleaned upon move in. - They want in your apartment OFTEN for numerous things. Replacing, checking alarms, etc. Maintenance is always kind and quick.
Before moving to the dominion townhomes, my wife and I thought it was the best place at a convenient price. Let me list the positives about this place first: It's close to all the woodlands attractions plus it has all the amenities (gym, sauna, pool) it has a unique townhome design with a convenient attached garage just below the unit. But that's where I would like to start going into the negatives about this place. The garage is what seems like is the main selling point t of these units. At least my wife and I thought it was a major plus. Most folks that move in here have outrageous amount of clutter that fills the entire garage spacing as if they were hoarders in a 4 bedroom house. Which causes the tenants to park their oversized vehicles in the middle of the alleyway which is narrow already and difficult to pass through. The model units the agents present may look nice, but what you actually get is way below standards. The square footage is incorrect as the staircase in every unit takes up almost 1/3 of the spacing which leaves it to be about the size of an actual studio. The bedrooms are much smaller than expected and the whole unit is not energy efficient. I'm very particular in keeping thermostat Temps at reasonable levels don't leave lights on when away, don't even watch tv or use my computer, and don't even have a washer^dryer in the unit, and somehow my last month's bill was $114. Explain that one to me! Which by the way, forget about choosing your own tv/internet, and electric provider, in which the community already has a contract with companies I've never heard of (entergy, and suddenlink). They charge outrageous prices for below mediocre products. My wife is a light sleeper, and even though our unit is at least 150 yards award from the frontage road, she still cannot sleep due to traffic noises. Not to mention that when you exit the community, make sure not to forget anything because it will take you about 15 minutes to return due to having to flip a u turn a quarter mile down the freeway to only exit from multiple round abouts to get back to the frontage gate. I could go on and on about this place, but for $990 monthly rent for 1 bedroom unit, it's definitely not worth a penny of it. I think I would actually save money and be much happier to break the lease and move elsewhere. Hope this is helpful in any way for your next search. Good luck.
