Property Ratings at The Dunes
Cons outweigh the pros hands down. The upgraded apartments were completeled so cheap, that they are falling apart. Weird neighbors watching others with cameras on their patios, the smell of marijuana is EVERYWHERE, pool consistently being closed because of used condoms and poop in the water, rats inside and outside, the smell of the garbage cans outside from not being emptied regularly will chrun your stomach, grills don't work, filthy hallways, the big dumpsters are disgusting outside with possums and rats crawling all over because residents don't put their bags in the dumpsters and staff rarely picks up the garbage, homeless people sleeping in the unlocked pool area, it honestly looks like a strip club in the pool area-soooo gross, I could go on and on but this is the jest of living at the dunes.
The new staff has completely changed the property. Bobbi was extremely helpful and friendly resolving an issue I had this week. I also love the renovations that are taking place. The pool area is fantastic.
Not a family friendly complex. There is rampent drug use that you will smell daily. It actually seeps into your apartment. If you don't mind loud noises, fighting, dirty facilities, drugs, and pit bulls off leashes...this is your place.
Do not move here management is very poor and extremely bad
Donnie he is truly amazing. He has always helped and is always first on the scene. He is so knowledgeable and caring. I have never felt more comfortable or appreciated. He always has a smile on his face. Thank you for helping and being a great guy you deserve the world. The dunes itself could use an upgrade for the price they charge. But over all its okay.
The rent is cheap, and you are on beachside. Thats about the only pros to this place.
Hurricane Matthew was wretched, but Donnie who is part of the maintenance team was spectacular! He walked the complex for 24 hours straight reassuring residence if they needed to get to higher ground he’d make it happen. He knocked on my door and many others to make sure we were okay. All of us in the C building really appreciate what he did for us during the Hurricane Matthew and wanted all to know how much we appreciate him.
They apartments here at Summer Lake, are very nice. They have vaulted ceilings and walk in closets. There is a lake to jog around and a pool with a gym at the club house. They also have tennis and raquet ball as well. I believe the area is okay, but it is a little further west than I care for. Overall it is a nice apartment complex.
This is the perfect neighborhood/community for anyone with a dog. It is close to the beach, great local restaurants and outdoor activities. The common areas are kept up with a wonderful place to walk dogs with pick-up stations to keep the landscaping beautiful. There are two pools that are refreshing and well maintained with lounge chairs and dining tables with umbrellas. The staff is extremely helpful and keep to their word. It's a wonderful place to call home.
I live in a dynamite complex half a mile from the beach. Very rare to find a 3 bedroom with so much room . They also take cats and dogs. The maintenance crew is here 6 days a week to help you with what ever you need. We have 2 pools and a lush green landscape that is maintained weekly. You will never find such a deal.
