Property Ratings at The Edge
These apartments are decent. The rent isn't terrible, much cheaper than you would find in the heart of Providence. They are decently maintained, but they have their issues, too. There are either 1 bedroom or studio options available - I am in a 1 BR on the second floor. The bathrooms are incredibly tiny, even for 1 person, and the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. The counter space is minimal, so appliances like a microwave or a mixer need to be on a separate shelving unit. The walls outlining the perimeter of the apartment are cinder block, so that makes it incredibly difficult to hang pictures, though there is plenty of drywall space to accomodate for that. The neighbors are friendly, but awfully noisy. I think part of the problem is the cinder block walls separating the apartments don't offer much noise insulation. The property management office is offsite, which is sometimes a huge inconvenience. A few good things about the place are that the rent is fair and it is a great location. Within walking distance of Edgewood, Pawtuxet Village, and Johnson & Wales University. It is a quick drive in to Providence as well, such that you don't have to get on the highway if you so desire. All in all I would only recommend Parkside if you're looking for a relatively cheap rental option just outside the main city of Providence, or close o Warwick or J. Wales. Otherwise, you might find a better home elsewhere.
park side is my first apartment. It is a very cute first apartment and have had no issues while I have been here.
