Largely due to its relative isolation from other major metropolitan areas, Sioux Falls has developed thriving local culture with robust shopping, dining, and entertainment scenes, delivering homegrown cultural resources that would be the envy of any city its size. The local rental market offers a diverse range of options -- the historic homes and apartment buildings of the City Center are popular among young professionals seeking to participate in the thriving downtown community, while the quiet suburban environment of the Shindler neighborhood tends to attract folks seeking a tranquil home life. No matter where they live, all residents enjoy the benefits of an exceptionally low crime rate, which sits at roughly half the national average.

Property Ratings at The Edge On Main
The apartment looks nice, newer kitchen and bathroom, good floors, decent storage, and decent AC/heat. The close downtown location was easily my favorite thing about this apartment. Having a parking lot is nice to get away from parking on the street. Free community laundry facilities were okay, there was a lot of break down in my 1.5yrs and often you would have to do laundry at non-peak times to use the machines. I never used the community room but when others used it, you could hear everything which made it more of a nuisance. MY BIGGEST COMPLAINT, is that walls and ceilings are THIN. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing/saying, you can hear sinks, showers, dishwashers, TVs, footsteps, pets, conversations, sneezes, etc. Another thing to note is that the building access outside doors are fob locked but the doors do not always lock when closed. I would often come home to realize the doors were open and anyone could come off the street and enter the building if they wanted too. Packages are left directly inside the door, which is a major theft risk. I think that mostly sums it up, it’s okay, but definitely not the best place in Sioux Falls. If I had the chance, I would’ve rented somewhere else.
If you want to pay way too much for a tiny space this is perfect. The “free laundry” is shared by the entire building so it will be a struggle to ever use. The walls are so thin you can hear absolutely everything your neighbors are doing (even full conversations and body functions). Their is not nearly enough parking so if you’re okay with walking about a block in a sketchy area... the landlords are almost impossible to get ahold of. They tell you about a wear bar that is never actually stocked and a “community” room you don’t even want to use because again, you hear everything. Thought I hit the jackpot finding this place and now I just can’t wait to be gone.
