Regarded as the Horse Capital of the World, Lexington is home to a number of horse farms and all kinds of equestrian events. The second largest city in Kentucky, Lexington maintains a small-town feel and progressive atmosphere thanks to an involved community and the presence of three colleges — the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, and Bluegrass Community and Technical College.
There is something for everyone in Lexington. Sports fans enjoy the horse races at the Red Mile and Wildcats basketball games at Rupp Arena. Outdoor enthusiasts delight in the city’s thriving cycling community, as well as hiking the many trails in and near Lexington. History buffs relish access to the Mary Todd Lincoln House and Ashland: the Henry Clay Estate. Art lovers savor the plentiful art galleries, including Lexington Art League, Institute 193, and the Lyric Theatre and Cultural Center. Shoppers appreciate having the largest mall in Kentucky, Fayette Mall.

Property Ratings at The Element
My boyfriend and I have lived here for 2 years and never had any large issues. Sometimes people are walking by but I assume that'd be anywhere near a busy part of town. I would definitely rent here again!

Love the updated kitchen and bathrooms. Super nice granite countertops

We are pleased to learn that you value the improvements made to the kitchen and bathrooms, particularly the granite countertops. Our team is dedicated to providing a satisfactory experience. We appreciate your kind words and the 4-star rating.
I toured the model and loved the updated counters, cabinets and flooring. The apartment complex is close to everything that Lexington has to offer yet is tucked away on its own street right next to malibu jacks!

We're thrilled to hear that you loved the updated features and convenient location of our apartment complex. It's great to know that our efforts to provide a comfortable and accessible living environment are appreciated. Thank you for your positive feedback!
My husband and I lived here for one year and had a terrible experience! The management sucks, they're rude and extremely unhelpful! Property is not managed properly at all! Laundry room is trashed all the time, plumbing issues in apartments and what not
DONT DO IT. This place is not worth the money. And if you have something that needs to be fixed, be prepared to wait weeks until it gets fixed.
Two stars for the management they are nice and helpful and wonderful. But please do not do it. Someone broke into my car and tried to steal anything but actually I do not have anything expensive inside, I had to fix it for 450$!!!!. I went to the office and told me to call the police because the whole apartments do not have any cameras!!!!. Also each week you’ll have a leak I called and actually they’ll come on time but they won’t fix it!!!! Can you imagine he told me you better leave it like this because we do not have the replacement!!!!! Since then I knew that the maintenance is not great here. So also the bathroom has a lot of problems when you walk on the floor it just keeps making strong sounds I believe because of the leak. I do not recommend this place at all. Keep looking pay more but you’ll be happy with everything. You won’t feel comfortable if you see the police around the building each two weeks or month. I swear like 30 minutes 6 police cars were there!! What does that mean to you? If I can upload pictures here you’ll say thanks god I have read this comment. Find a place you’ll feel safe.
Absolutely horrendous experience here! Do not be blinded by shiny appliances. This place makes motel 6 look good. Over half of the washers and dryers have not worked in the time I have lived here. “Sports court” is a slab of fenced in concrete! I have never seen it used by anyone because well there’s nothing to use it for. Pool is tiny and always occupied by young children and their deadbeat parents. Constant marijuana smell floods my apartment from surrounding neighbors. On top of what a dump this place is the customer service is shockingly worse. Calls and service request go unanswered, but you better believe the day that rent is due they will be on your doorstep to slap a note on your door. They actually had the audacity to implement a rent increase this year, two months into a pandemic. I mean you can’t make this stuff up. All this and I actually probably would have signed another agreement just because I hate the process of moving so much, but two request to them to draw up another lease agreement went ignored. From reading through the other reviews in here it looks like others feel the same. I guess Brookside Properties must not be much better since they’ve let the crew here get away with running a sub standard facility for quite some time. I’ll be leaving a review with them as well though just to make sure. In summary I strongly suggest looking elsewhere if this is not your last resort. Best of luck!

This place is a joke. The only positive to this apartment is the location. It is very close to Nicholasville and New Circle Road. Half of the outlets in the apartment do not work, anything plugged into them simply falls right out. There are so many layers of grey paint on all of the walls and baseboards that it is constantly chipping off. The layers of paint in the door frame cause the front door to stick terribly when it swells, so you have to use two hands to close it shut to lock it and use force to open when unlocked. The PVC plumbing under the kitchen and bathroom sink can not withstand temperature change causing it to leak. The modern lighting fixtures put off so much heat that cooking in the kitchen is almost unbearable with the added heat. We avoid using the dining light because of the heat and use our own lamps- but we have limited plugs and the power circuit cannot handle too many things plugged in without dimming or flickering the lights. The wallpaper flooring is peeling at the seams within a year of living here. The seam runs along the entire apartment and has peeled up almost an inch. We put in a service request for our broken AC in early July and as of end of September we still do not have a working AC. We had a window unit for a month while they worked on fixing it, making the apartment totally unsecured. Anyone can enter through that window because the unit was put in the window on the porch. The maintenance worker had plugged the window unit into the plug right next to the window- one of the plugs that does not work at all. We had to use our own extension cord and run it across the whole apartment to have a working window unit. I put a “PLUG DOES NOT WORK SIGN” above the plug he had originally plugged it into. Then the maintenance worker took our extension cord with him when he uninstalled the window unit- because our AC unit had been “fixed”. Four days later, ANOTHER service request for the AC was put in because this new unit also DOES NOT WORK. 2.5 out of the 4 washers do not work in the onsite laundry facility. Washer #1 does not go through the spin cycle at all and washer #2 only does it half of the time. 3 out of the 6 dryers are unusable. The middle two do not work at all the the top left dryer door sensor is broken so it thinks it is open when it closed shut. If you have any neighbors who use marijuana, the smell will seep through the pipes and cracks, making certain areas of the apartment unbearable.

The whole staff is so extremely friendly and helpful! Anytime I need something done they get it done immediately and they always bring treats for my sweet dog! There are plenty of grassy areas to walk my dog and the complex is very quiet and all of the occupants are super friendly! I love how new and modern the apartments are with plenty of natural light! It is located in such a perfect location (you can walk to ulta) right off of Nicholasville Road and centrally locates to everything you could want! I work at the university and it takes me about 10-15 min to get to work in the morning. I just moved to Lexington in August and I couldn’t have asked for a better apartment family to move in to! Go check it out!!
Have been living at The Element for almost 6 months and I am satisfied here. The apartments are modern with nice flooring and new stainless steel appliances. Each apartment has washer/dryer hookup with its own laundry room which is unusual to find an apartment. The bedrooms are well sized with plenty of closet and storage space. The blinds are wide thick plastic so they look nice and the lighting fixtures are up to date. Each apartment has a dedicated patio or deck area. Maintenance has always arrived in a timely manner. Having a playground makes my daughter happy. Have yet to try out the pool but it looks nice. Staff are on site Monday thru Saturday so availability to reach them is consistent. The apartments are just down from Nicholasville Road which gives privacy and a hidden location but super close to everything you could need or want. Check out The Element--you won't be disappointed!
Living at Cedar Run ,I feel safe,it is well lit ,and a quite place to live. Apartments are small ,but manageable. Grounds are well kept, and people are friendly.Management keeps things well under control.
Spacious space for the cost, walk in closets and staff is easy to contact. Very close to the mall and stores as well as a short drive to downtown. However since I have moved in the property staff has changed multiple times.
