Lack of communication from management and maintenance person. I have done what I needed to as a renter via reporting things directly to management and the resident portal and still have not received the help needed even a week later.

The Ella Apartments is a very quiet and clean building which makes my time as a resident very peaceful.
Even though Ella has new management every 2 months, each PM has been exceptional. They have helped me enjoy living at Ella and I am considering leasing for another term.
I have found the current property manager and maintenance responsive and helpful, the building itself is nice and the apartment has no serious problems. Occasionally there are problems with some of the machines in the laundry facilities, or a fumigator must be called, but those being the only problems I have had after a year make this one of the better buildings in the area for the price.
I haven't even moved in yet and this has already been a nightmare. After signing my lease, I didn't hear from anyone for weeks. After many many calls and emails, I finally heard back from someone three days before I was supposed to move in with all of the items I had to sort out before moving in. Then, the night before I move I get an email changing my move in time by several hours with no explanation. It's been a very unprofessional experience so far.
I lived here for a year. The property managers are incompetent, unorganized, and lazy. On my move out day, neither of the two showed up to do my walkthrough. Refused to do repairs and when they did the problem came back in less than a week later.
They appear unorganized and unaware of the daily function of the property. The website is misleading and there's no follow through with the information provided. The building upgrades are decent, but nothing special. TLC should do themselves a favor and properly hire staff that truly know how to manage residential property.
