The Elms at Arcola

It’s a great place to live in with great service and amenities.

This Apartment has excellent features, maintenance service responds quickly and is very good. Community has nice features like Park for kids and elevators, pool etc. it is near by shopping center in walkable distance. Everyone here is nice and friendly. Good place to live with family. It covers school district as well. We enjoy living here. Management is excellent.

I have lived here since 2019. The apartments are well maintained. and very quiet. Maintenance staff are knowledgeable, respectful and very prompt. The outside areas (groundskeeping) are also well maintained. Leasing staff are helpful and customer oriented with any issues or general questions answered/solved promptly. They are very good at keeping the residents informed as well as organizing community events. I am especially grateful to the lady who does housekeeping for the enclosed elevator buildings. She is consistantly excellent in keeping the lobbies, hallways, and carpets spotless and shining! She is greatly apperciated!

When we we’re looking at apartments this was the only place we wanted to live. Great staff, they really try too foster a sense of community. Maintenance is great, apartments spacious and modern. Would highly recommend.

There have been multiple events within the community which were great. I have only been able to attend a couple of them, but awesome way to meet your neighbors and build a community.

We had been living at Elms at Arcola for the past one year and just renewed our lease for another year. It's the perfect combination of amenities, location and fantastic managment.

We recently moved into the Elms and are very happy here. Buddy was wonderful to work with. He was very responsive, helpful, and super nice. The property is well maintained and cared for. The leasing staff engages with residents and plans fun events. We are glad we found the Elms of Arcola!

The Service team here is friendly and efficient in their work, always get it done. And the leasing team in the office is outstanding, whatever I need help with anything I know %110 they are able to help me. The grounds is clean, and overall great property!

Living at this apartment complex and the apartment is so exciting that I have ton dig up dictionary for words of appreciation.

Nice staff and even better maintenance team! It’s a delight to be greeted by Mia when coming home from work. She is a true professional and hard worker. Mia is always smiling and eager to help out and can be found painting our hallways, lobby and apartments!

The Elms at Arcola is a great home for my self family. The apartment is spacious and contemporary - and the staff is always there to assist in a timely and thorough manner. The grounds are immaculate and the pool and recreation spaces are resort-like. We also love food truck Thursday’s.

I live in the houses across the street, but we use the playground here and everything is well kept. And when my toddler needs to use the bathroom, the staff is generous and kind, and the building is immaculate!

Leasing office staff is very patient and pleasant to deal with. They seem to really care about the residents and their property. Grounds look very clean and well lit. Lawn is well kept. I am sure it looks even more lovely in the summer with gardens full of beautiful flowers. Would highly recommend for family or friends!

We needed a place to stay while our home was being built. The location of the Elms was perfect! Right off of 50 and close to everything. Apartments are spacious and the building has an elevator which was a huge positive considering we have a toddler. The management team was also great!

1+ years in residence. Love my apartment...a tremendous amount of natural light....high ceilings, excellent appliances and like new appearance.

Two years living here, nice, I hope to stay long time

My family and I have lived at The Elms at Arcola for just over a month and we love it. The staff is great and extremely responsive to any questions. The whole process from application to moving in was a great experience. The location is perfect too, so many choices for shipping and dining so close by. The apartment itself is fantastic, such a great modern feel and look. Definitely choose The Elms at Arcola for your new place to live in NOVA.

The staff is just wonderful. Very convenient location about 20 minutes to Chantilly. Growing area, way cheaper than some locations in the city, with more space as well.

- They will not let you see the actual apartment you are renting. They show you a model apartment and tell you it is identical. And the moment you sign the lease and get the keys, you find out, it is totally different than what you thought you were getting, but at that point it's too late to do anything. - The day we moved in, there were 2 HUGE meaty lively spiders and a bunch of dead roaches. We had a loft style apartment. The ceilings had spider webs. - Trash… this is where it gets SO BAD. They talk about a valet service that picks up trash Monday through Thursday. NO FRIDAY, no weekend which is when people get the most trash out (no?). But you have to actually PAY $40 for that service on top of your rent. So, you are forced to get the service. When it comes to putting out the trash, they give you a small black plastic trash can. You can barely fit in a full trash bag in it. You are not allowed to put the trash on the ground. If you have a second bag, then that bag goes on top of the trash bin. If you have a 3rd bag then you have to show all your architectural skills to build a trash tower and make sure it does not fall because if it does, they will fine you $50 for every ITEM on the floor. You have to put the recycle in a separate blue plastic bag and add on top of the tower you are building. Totally against the idea of recycle. But if you do not do that, they also fine you a $50 penalty PER ITEM. Let’s say you made a little bit of a mistake. The entire trash gets left outside your door. They won’t pick it up. Then you are stuck with trash sitting outside your apartment for the entire night. Guess what happens in the morning? Dumpster is ALWAYS overflowed and the entire community gets affected by the smell and how you can’t even dispose of your trash. You will also get weekly emails about trash regulations, penalty reminders, fees, threats, both individually and community wide. So, expect to see about 100+ emails over a 1 year stay JUST about trash. The community is always spread with trash but instead of putting their efforts to get that cleaned, they keep sending the emails. You can see the attached pictures. - If you extend your lease for even 1 day (which happens all the time) they will charge you $400 month to month fee. They will send you the wrong final bill amount. When you tell them it doesn’t make sense, they take a week to figure it out, and then also charge you late fee for not paying on time. Even though you never got to correct bill.

Living at Arcola has been so easy. I love having onsite amenities that fit my lifestyle and being minutes away from things I need quick access to. They just added an Amazon locker which has saved me time and security with knowing my items are secure for me. The events are fun and the neighbors are so friendly, I try to keep a hand free to wave to people because it’s just like that here. Maintenance deserves a gold medal for their knowledge, ability and customer service. It’s making me reconsider ever owning because I would lose so much if I move out.
