Property Ratings at Enclave
The location of this community is quiet and generally safe. Though you’ll have to hear your neighbors all day because of how thin the walls are. Staff at the office are never friendly, only when you first inquire about wanting to rent. these two stars go to their maintenance staff only- always prompt and get things done. Lived here for two years and then moved out a couple months early because we bought a home. We did pay all move out fees and last months rent. Like what another person said here, few months later they tried to say we didn’t pay our moveout fees. Jokes on them, I saved screenshots of every payment made- they even tried to charge us TWICE for move out fees right when we left but I sent them all the proof I kept and they said “sorry”. A YEAR since moving out we receive a letter from collections stating we still owed money. Can you believe that?! I dug through my emails and sent them proof AGAIN that everything was taken care of prior to us leaving but we never heard back from them. Of course. Multiple calls to their office but no one answers. I made an appeal to collections and of course a month later we were fine. The money they requested was denied, rightfully so. So just be aware- they play dumb. Especially when it comes to charging fees and asking for money. SAVE all your proof of payments and emails. Actually, just look elsewhere. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful pool area and high ceiling rooms. It’s not worth it. Glad to have moved on.
I lived here for several years, and for the most part, didn't have many issues. Key things to be aware of: their security isn't helpful (used to be, but then they got rid of them) incl for very potent pot smells/smoke and significant noise issues that you're left to deal with because of thin walls, my third apartment had a roach infestation from one of our neighbors that they never could get under control no matter how much they sprayed, and the worst part was when we moved out... like many, I bought house during the pandemic. I promptly paid the move-out fee and last month's rent, got confirmation, and then a month or two later they emailed me to say I hadn't paid. I said I did, sent screenshots of the transactions, and a day or two later I got a "our bad" email. Fast forward 6 months, without trying to contact again, they sent me to collections for.. yep.. not paying the same fees. I sent the same evidence to the collections agency and this morning they confirmed that the Enclave erroneously sent my account to collections and were closing the account, I was free and clear. Enclave: Shame on you.
There are no enforcement for any rules here. The walls are thin and people have loud parties and constantly play loud music, people yelling and screaming on the balconies. People yelling and bringing loud stereos to the pool area even after 2 AM. Sometimes people living near the pool have to come down and ask people to leave the pool because it is late and they cannot sleep. Cannot open your window on hot days due to heavy amount of smokers living here. Dog urine in the elevator 2-3 times a week. People leaving garbage bags by the elevator. You can complain but they just roll their eyes at you and do not do anything about it.
Car break-ins, bikes getting stolen and random people knocking on your door, soliciting for money are daily occurrences now! I don't feel safe at all living here anymore. Leasing office staff are unresponsive, rude, and condescending.
We used to like living here until the management was changed. Do not make the mistake of renting here. The leasing staff lacks common courtesy and talks down to residents. They try hard to be nice to you until you nice the lease, but once you do, they act as if they lack a soul. They will make your stay a living hell! The community is infested with roaches and bedbugs. They charge a trash collection fee and the utilities are more than $200 a month for a 2 bed. They do not have any type of security, and apartment and car break-ins are very common. The elevators smell of urine. Look for another option if you want a decent place to live for you and your family.
When I renewed my lease in November, I was offered one month free in next January. Because this was not put in the lease document, now they say they don't know about this, so I still need to pay. When you deal with them, be very careful. My advise is don't rent here.
Lived here 3.5 years without much issue. No theft or noise problems for me. The only thing that bothered me was in the past year, I could smell weed around the underground parking lot area and also saw some residents or their guests smoking where they shouldn't. Otherwise, I enjoyed the stay.
It is a very noisy apartment complex because of horrible insulation. You will hear all your neighbors. They allow all source of people here and they do not do anything about them. Some people own and practice electric guitars and management will not do anything about the noise. Please do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else.
I moved into my new apartment in the The enclave community a few weeks ago. Thus far, I'm very happy with that decision, because the location is perfect with great access to trails and shopping, and my unit is spacious, bright and freshly renovated. I like also the view onto the golf course from my spacious balcony which is sufficiently big to put a grill and tables during the summer. The VTA station, Levi's stadium and the freeway are closeby, but I cannot hear any street noise at all. The common areas are well-maintained, the gym is well-equipped and the pool/spa area is great. Yoga room, business center and communal BBQ are available as well, but I haven't checked it out, yet. The friendly and helpful leasing manager gave a nice tour and arranged all details for a smooth move-in. I recommend this community.
We have been living at the Enclave apartment for about 1 year and half now, and so far most of our experience has been pretty great. Before I start, I need to clarify we did get lucky and living in one of more desirable buildings which is facing the Guadalupa River with lots of natural sunlight, so my review might be more positive than other residences. The enclave is a nice size gated complex with great amenities: large swimming pool, jacuzzi, communal gas BBQ, full size yoga studio, gym, computer/business area and a great running trail right behind the complex. Pros: 1.friendly office leasing staff and great maintenance service. 2.convenient location walking distance to target, fresh n easy and VTA; 3. The unit itself, although is on the small size but are packed with all the essential amenities: washer, dryer, large patio(we are on the first level), oven, dishwasher, and central AC/heater. 4. Easy parking. Cons: 1. Thin ceiling, we have a "thumper" living above us, so we can often hear her thumping around in the unit above us. 2. Nearby Levi's stadium, during stadium event dates, and traffic gets annoying. 3. High monthly pet rent: $50/pet Overall, decent complex for singles, couples and small families. Highly recommend renting the units are facing the trail/river in the building 7.
The property managers are professional, helpful and nice. This is my first apartment in the bay area and I am impressed with the area and price (for San Jose). However, the value is going up steadily fast therefore so is rent. My one complaint is the ventilation of the apartment complex, not enough windows that open up and the vent in the bathroom is poor. I have to shower with the bathroom and patio door open and yet my whole room (bathroom that is attached to room) always gets fogged up. In addition, I frequently leave the doors of the apartment open to get some air movement, but this also invites little bugs and flies inside. The enclave would be better if there were more ceiling fans (with lighting) and improved ventilation.
Generally it's a very good apartment! Living room in the middle of two bedroom, which is perfect for two couples share an apartment without disturbing each other. But, some time in the early morning, the noise of garbage collection truck and gardener pruning is quite annoying.
