Property Ratings at The Estates at Cougar Mountain
It is very quiet, peaceful neighborhood, beautiful landscaping the work that the landscapers put in is phenomenal. The apartments themselves are beautiful, great appliances, flooring and esthetic is very nice. We live a the lighter version of the apartments available with lighter flooring and I love it my very much. I love the amenities available, the pool and hot tub, the gym, the movie room, the day room is a great place to rent out and host events. This is by far one of my favorite places to live!

Your excellent review has made our day! We strive to provide a beautiful community that residents are proud to call home, and we are thrilled that this is your experience. Our team appreciates your compliments on our many amenities and is delighted you enjoy them. Thank you so much.
A portion of the toilet bowl ceramic cracked and fell off but there was no leakage. I put in a routine maintenance request on the website and the toilet bowl was replaced the next day. The bathroom was left as clean as it was before the replacement.

This is wonderful feedback to hear! We prioritize prompt and helpful care for our residents, so it is gratifying to know you've received just that. Thank you for sharing!
Very beautiful and peaceful!Staff is always there to help. Kudos to Jessi and the team !
Love it here. Turnover in personnel is disappointing as we like to get to know our office folks. Travis and maintenance staff are excellent
The Estates at Cougar Mountain has been our home since we relocated here in 2009. I can't think of another place that I would rather live!! It truly is resort living in every way, every day...

Seth, thank you for the 5-star rating! It is a pleasure to have you as our resident, and we look forward to serving you for many years to come. We are glad you are here!
Travis and his maintenance crew is an asset to our community! Always prompt, courteous and professional.
I’ve been at States for coming on about seven years. I have enjoyed all of it. The maintenance was ridiculous. It’s so great. I would highly recommend our community.
best part about living here is how close it is to all the trails in the area.
Very comfortable, scenic, friendly and quiet community.
We love to live at a place where we have everything we need EV charging, gym to stay healthy, community room, trails to walk on and the fresh air to enjoy. The Estates at Cougar Mountain is just that and more. This is a place I’m excited to live and invited my friends over to. This is a wonderful place to live.
Living here is like being in the woods but with the comfort of the city. Love everything about it! I wish I could buy my apartment. Staff is super friendly and helpful always.
Beautiful, well managed community. Maintenance requests are few, but when occur response is quick and professional. Work requests always performed at highest standards.
'--Apartment Service and Maintenance are excellent. Special shout out to Travis. --Aside from Leia, who is always charming, there is tremendous turnover and that is not a good indication for stability and employee satisfaction in any company. --Poor communication and a great deal of inconvenience during outside apartment painting, etc. Travis did his best to mitigate issues. One still remains that hasn't been resolved. --No property or door security or deterrents.
I enjoy the beauty and quietness of the surroundings , the office and maintenance staff have always been helpful and friendly to me. Convenient to shopping and other amenities.
The maintenance staff are very personable and kind. I'm guessing the workload is overwhelming for 2 regularly staffed personnel. Office staff is hit and miss.
My family truly loves and enjoys being apart of the community with Estates at Cougar Mountain!
I love everything about the community. The only thing I would change would be adding more lights on the paths around the community. When taking my dog out at night, it is pretty dark.
Had a great experience moving in. The managers have been great and everything has been wonderful so far.
The Estates at Cougar Mountain makes your life easier. The apartment is beautiful, having forest right at the tip of my fingers and as a view from my apartment creates a peaceful environment. Hiking trails start walking distance from the development; the whole neighborhood is lovely.
The Estates at Cougar Mountain is a decent community to live in. It’s mostly quiet and close enough to I90 to get closer to Seattle. That being said, don’t think the units are luxury. They’re definitely lower middle tier and can easily start to fall apart in certain regards after a year of living. The lack of AC is expected; however, be aware of the upper corner units. They are extremely difficult to keep cool on days above 80, even with 3 portable units and a window unit. The doors, fireplace and windows are extremely poorly insulated and leech in heat constantly.
ECM is a very safe and plush place to live! I love living out in the trees, as does my cat. My apartment is very nice and my neighbors are awesome.
I overall am satisfied with ECM. I do wish every resident had an assigned parking spot with the amount that we pay for rent. Parking can be really tough. I have also had mice which has been very inconvenient.
Beautiful, quiet community in mountains. Apartment and property high quality and well maintained. Management and maintenance staff always prompt and professional in response to any needs.
1) Heating cannot be controlled - it's either off or too hot. 2) No air conditioning 3) Water bills of $150?!? 4) No security for the residents. The mail is more protected than the apartments!
I'm disappointed by the office staff and overall move-in experience. It was disorganized, I was given misinformation, and my garage door opener was not ready for me. I was told it would be brought to me but I had to go get it before the office closed for the day. In addition, the parking spot I was assigned was incorrect twice, prompting me to park on the street for several days while the office staff completed a parking audit at my suggestion. There was much confusion around the move-in inspection and the staff was incapable of providing it to me; I later found out that it's an interactive portal - I wish that had been communicated to me correctly from the start. Lastly, my mailbox key does not work. Overall, very disappointing for a luxury community. My apartment is nice looking, but has poor natural lighting and sound insulation.
The Estates is a first class establishment. The landscaping and surrounding views capes are just wonderful as is the access to beautiful hiking trails right from the Estates property and nearby. The proximity to the Cascades and ski areas is also a great plus. The Windsor organization truly takes care of their properties with one glaring exception. If you plan to stay longer than 4-5 years, don't come here. Under no circumstances will your unit be upgraded. Your rugs may start to degrade and they will not be replaced. This was not always the case, but it is now. The value for money degrades and the sense of being treated as second class grows. Otherwise, it has been a fantastic place to live. There are even EV charging stations on site.
The location and amenities of the estates at cougar mountain are ideal. The yearly increases in rent have been steep and are oppressive. The management team is less interested in keeping loyal residents than in raising the rents and bringing on new people. It is disheartening.
Love the maintenance workers here! They are prompt and communicate more than effectively
This places is horrible. The premises is dirty, there is not enough parking, my unit has a stench that we can not get rid of, appliances are constantly broken, it takes weeks to get something fixed. We can't wait for our lease to end so we can get out of this dump.
I love the location and overall am happy with my decision to move to ECM but certain features in the actual unit do need up dating. To be specific the toilets are old fashioned, the lighting is poor, the appliances work fine but are old. I believe given the cost the issues above should be addressed.
This is a lovely community with responsive management. It is a great place to call home.
Wonderful location, attractive grounds, pool, office, professional and helpful staff
It was an easy move in process, however the first 2 weeks in the apartment were a bit frustrating! We had a mice problem we discovered the first week. And three of our appliances didn't even work when we moved it. It felt like the place was not checked at all prior to our move in. Otherwise we love the space now that everything is fixed!
Beautiful setting, good apartment, good appliances, very nice amenities.
We love living here since retiring and relocating from New England. The property and facilities are lovely and appear well-maintained. All the staff have been very helpful during our move-in process. Looking forward to enjoying all the nearby trails in the Issaquah Alps!
We love the community, everyone is friendly and the location is perfect.
When I moved in there were multiple things that needed fixing. It has been almost a month and I still do not have hot water nor have any of the other items have been attended to.
All the maintenance guys are so nice and super responsive/respectful of your space when they enter it. Appreciate all you guys do for the community.
Everything looks beautiful from the outside but it's all age-old inside. All appliances r very old. The washer-dryer is so very ancient - I don't even remember seeing this old machine. Clothes can get ruined in this machine because it doesn't have many options to choose from in settings.
Have been a resident at ECM since 2009! Continue to enjoy "resort" living in the Talus community. Great location and beautiful surroundings...
This is a beaufiful apartment complex set up to leave you space even though it is a large complex. It is supportive of those having dogs. It feels really safe. It is a bit pricey, but my place feels spacious and has endless storage.
The peaceful setting, proximity to trails and Issaquah shopping have made my transition to an apartment easier than I anticipated. Thank you to Zoe, Mykah and staff for helping me to feel at home. Kathy
I am completing my 5th year at CM. There has been a lot of turnover in management during my time. The quality of the property has declined- upkeep, exterior, response time for repairs, etc. I know some of that is due to Covid so I have been patient and understanding. The exterior paint/roof of my building, #9, is shabby and the windows have not been washed in at least 5 years. The rent seems on the higher side compared to similar properties.
Great staff. I wish they were more forward thinking with things like security technology, EV chargers, etc.
If you want quiet, surrounded by nature, beautiful landscaping and a courteous staff, I would definitely check out The Estates at Cougar Mountain.
This is not a luxury apartment. Everything about our unit is cheap. Paper thin walls; we can hear the people upstairs cough. Our hot water and heat has gone out three times and still is not fixed after weeks. The cabinets do not properly close, the painter that must have re-pained the walls before we moved in dripped paint all over the floor, the water barely comes out in one of the bathroom sinks. My husband and I are extremely disappointed and wish we would've selected another place to live. It will be a long year.
Zoey, Michael, and Mikah have been extraordinarily responsive to my questions and concerns. Andy and James jumped on and resolved all maintenance issues. I gave a "5" to lighting because although outside and garage lighting is very good, the bedrooms (the second bedroom has no light, at all) lighting is odd.
This is my seventh anniversary of living in this community and love it here, beautiful surroundings and friendly people. It is also conveniently close to shopping ,dentists , restaurants ect:
Overpriced, underwhelming, and falsely safe all around. Good amenities, but energy efficient claims means small nuisances within the appliances, heating, and building design that make the situation less than desirable.
The maintenance team is always prompt and professional.
