I lived in the Fairways for 7 months in 2024. I experienced exposure to super aggressive dogs, that the management would not do anything about, and had several maintenance requests that went unfulfilled. Because it is a nice area, I was hoping this would be a great experience, it was not. If you have a chance to live elsewhere, do that.
I moved in over a month ago. The apartments are absolutely spacious, clean dog friendly. The amenities are great. The staff here at the building complex are friendly. There is convenient shopping in walking distance. My neighbors are friendly and very outgoing. I am enjoying my stay here and can see myself here for more years to come. I highly recommend the complex.

Pool Availability: july 2st 2024 and the pool is still closed....The pool consistently opens late, then will closes in September, despite the warm weather continuing. During July and August, the pool is often closed for weeks because it is dirty. Jacuzzi Problems: The jacuzzi is perpetually out of order and seems to never get fixed. Garbage Management: The garbage area is always overflowing, creating an unpleasant and unsanitary environment. Security Issues: Car theft is rampant, and there are frequent break-ins in the apartments. Residents are fed up with the lack of security, as highlighted in local news reports (check the article: "Residents at South Charlotte Apartment Complex Fed Up with Break-Ins"). Management Apathy: The management team is unresponsive and indifferent to these ongoing issues. They clearly do not care about the well-being and satisfaction of their residents. I would not recommend this complex to anyone. Stay away if you value your peace of mind and safety.

There have been 3 management changes in the time I’ve been here (April 2020). Some of the issues I put on my move-in checklist have still not been fixed. My sink leaks frequently and should’ve been an easy fix; when my fiancé went to change the tap, he realized we would HAVE to call maintenance because of the way the sink is rigged up Macgyver-style. There have been ongoing issues with the TRASH for several months now (I have photos going back to September 2021); it is disgusting and a health hazard, as well as being the first thing people see when driving into the complex. I personally had to lure a possum out of the mail room with dog food. My heat has been broken for 2 weeks and it is currently snowing. This is not the first time my HVAC unit has stopped functioning; it’s been ongoing since moving in. On the topic of snow, management nor maintenance bothered to salt the sidewalks or parking lots, leaving tenants in unsafe, icy conditions. There is a cockroach infestation in the complex. Myself and several neighbors have seen multiples of them and we are clean tenants. There are also house centipedes and wasps. When complaining to the office, they will not remove wasp or hornets nests and they leave you to your own devices. Since moving in (reminder: April 2020), I have used 0 amenities because they haven’t been open. The pool was open for the month of October 2021 and that was it. The gym just recently opened but is only accessible during business hours; I have a job during business hours (that’s why they’re called “business hours”). For what they expect you to pay in rent, none of it seems to go towards maintaining an inhabitable, safe living environment.

We originally moved in 2 years ago because of the great location and rent was cheaper than some other places we were looking at. Since then, rent has unfortunately gone up each year. Parking is ridiculous, people park illegally on the curb and in handicapped spaces. Management sends out emails that they're going to do "daily parking checks" and start towing people. That literally never happens. There's plenty of parking, you just have to park a bit farther away and people are too lazy and entitled to do so because there are no consequences. People are constantly playing loud music, sometimes just sitting in their cars blasting the bass after quiet hours. I don't even know who the actual manager is because anytime I send an email to them I get a response from a different person and they only respond to my first email, never after I've sent a reply. Insulation sucks- our living room is hot in summer/cold in winter when the rest of the apt is comfortable. They powerwash the outside of the building but not our actual decks, we just get the overspray all over everything making the windows look gross. With all this negative, my favorite part about living here has been the maintenance guys. They are always so friendly and super quick to respond to a request.

We appreciate all feedback, but it is important to note that we tow weekly. Vehicles who are in violation get stickered once a week and have 72 hours to resolve the issue, as a courtesy. Once the 72 hours are up, the towing company comes back through and tows the vehicle. Also, per the lease agreement residents are responsible for their patio. There are better apartments. Property management is poor, to say it nicely. Excuses are made about every complaint and why they can’t be handled immediately. Maintenance is good. Request get taken care of quickly, but anything outside maintenance is poor. Don’t let the prime location suck you in.

I’m really going to miss living here. We were building a house and it’s ready. We have thoroughly enjoyed our short 4months here. The management is so nice, responsive, easy to work with, pleasant, and plans the neatest events: taco trucks, breakfast in the go, pool events , and more. The trees are mature, providing beautiful landscaping and shade. The pool is large and so family friendly. Best of all is the access to Trader Joe’s, 485, and Hwy 51 shopping. Fairways has been around for years and many residents are vested and long term. They don’t want to move! Lastly the balconies on the first floor are huge!! Apartments are outdated and overpriced. Maybe sacrifice because location is ideal. Close to interstate and Trader Joe’s but property manager is a complete waste a time. doesn’t do anything and just has her staff to say she’s too busy to talk and just email her. If you do email her you won’t get a response for over a month. Parking is absurd. Sometimes they put stickers on the cars that are expired or illegally parked but then they don’t tow them and the tenant just takes the sticker off and comes back the next day. Will have to walk a mile to get to your apartment if you live here. If you ever need anything done just forget it because it won’t happen. Neighbors have loud dogs that bark all day, but nothing is done. So many of my friends here at the property have left because of these multiple issues. You can get an upgraded apartment down the street with probably better management for the same price Everything has changed since the old property manager left. The complex is going down hill.
These apartments are just ok and over priced. Pool gets very crowded and parking is few and far between. Neighbors are very loud especially after 10PM. Management won't do anything about it and the courtesy officer either doesn't answer or doesn't care. All you can do is hope the police will show up to quiet down the parties. Appliances are still outdated. The tub finish is falling off cause they have been resurfaced so many times. If you do need resurfacing you are without your shower for up to 3 days never mind the fumes. Only good thing is it is close to Ballantyne, 485 and trader joe's and CVS. BTW management is a waste of time and won't give the property management phone number so you can't complain to them. Back to parking they will once in a while sticker outdated cars but never tow them. Tenant just takes the sticker off and there it still sits. Management won't confront anything. Really think before signing.

A great area for any nature lover! With a green trail right outside the complex, anyone who loves bike riding, walking, or running can enjoy the outdoors in just a few steps. This complex also has a phenomenal shopping center right next door containing Trader Joe's, CVS, Starbucks and more. All within walking distance! The complex is beautiful, peaceful and convenient for any young couple starting out. Great customer service in the main office too!

If I had to describe The Fairways at Piper Glen in one word I would have to say it would be mediocre, or perhaps better yet disappointing. I think that term is most appropriate considering most of The Fairways faults or critiques could be easily corrected by proper management, yet seem to stubbornly persist based on historical and consistent reviews. Let me start by stating that I am an impartial resident, and my review is only intended to be helpful and informative. To be fair the complex has some benefits, it is a medium security complex with a great location and fairly spacious floor plans at a reasonable price. In exchange you sacrifice out of date design and interiors, as well as less than meticulous upkeep. Spiders, cockroaches, and ants become the pets you didn't know you had. And the biggest issue is parking... Non assigned spaces and insufficient capacity makes coming home from work a game of cardio roulette. Will you still have to hit the treadmill and workout, or will your journey from parking space to door burn enough calories to count as a workout?... Sign a lease and find out. If you have any issues after office hours don't count on security to answer. Like I said, some good and some bad, but read the other poor reviews and rethink any doubts you might have about the issues I've described. The saddest part to me is that I can live with non Granite counters and outdated neutral paint colors. But parking issues and pest control is property management 101, and for years that has been the most common complaints. It obviously still remains, so if you sign a lease expect to be dealing with it as well for the next 12-18 months. A well deserved 2 1/2 stars but since I can't give half stars, so to be fair I gave 3 due to the location and price.

Best location and the staff have been nothing but helpful. These are older apartments but the staff have all been wonderful in fixing the items needing adjustment. I've been a homeowner for years and this has been an adjustment for us. Neighbors are friendly and the wooded views are so nice to have here in the city.

We moved in over 4 years ago because it was nice looking place and near to small shopping center with everything we could need, we stayed because the the wonderful staff and great neighbors. My only real complaint is the fact that the rent has gone up every year. We see where it goes with new upgrade every year, but it still sucks. All in all a great place to live
These apartments are as centrally located as you can get! I-485 and Rea Rd gives you equal and easy access to Uptown, S. Charlotte, South Park area, and Matthews. The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive; any service requests have been handled timely and correctly. The grounds are well kept and reflect the standards of the prestigious Piper Glen area which it is located in. We have a walking path to a shopping center that includes Trader Joes and Starbucks, additionally these apartments are located next to Four Mile Creek Greenway which is known for family friendly running, biking, and walking. All inclusive shopping is only a couple of minutes away at Stone Crest and Blakeney with everything you need or want. If you want to find an affordable apartment with amenities fit for a queen in the Queen City, you have to check out Fairways at Piper Glen.

This is a fantastic location- you can walk to Trader Joe's and Starbucks and are minutes away from shopping and a variety of restaurants. The complex is older but comfortable and safe. You have to persistent with management and patient with maintenance but it could be worse.

The apartments are well maintained, clean and eased my transition for a house to an apartment. It has two bedrooms, master bathroom with a large walk-in closet and another full bath. The dining area off the kitchen and large open living room is an excellent size for a home-like environment. It has a large pool area with lounge chairs and grill areas. It is seclude from the adjacent shopping center (walking distance). it is 15 minutes from three additional large shopping centers (not adjacent). The 24 hour exercise facility has all the right equipment. After adding the washer and dryer we have a well equipment home environment.
