Property Ratings at The Fairways at Westridge
Looks are deceiving. The sales people will entice you with whatever scam they have to get you to sign a lease. The "manager" Kathy is never in the office and this office seems to close pretty frequently for non-important "functions". Good luck finding someone in the office when you need them. It seems to be your fault that you can't reach them instead of the fact that are constantly away from the office. They close the office for many hours and it is hard to pick up your packages. Shoddy construction. The PAPER THIN WALLS are only partially painted, with poor patch jobs; you will hate the builder grade carpet and the thin walls that are missing sound barriers! Neighbors running washing machines at 2 am. Hard to sleep right next to that wall that is bouncing. Recently there was a shooting in the parking lot. Our safety has been shattered. We will be moving as soon. The gates are constantly broken and not locked. I have seen many visitors sitting in their cars waiting for a tenant to go through the gate using their key. They immediately follow behind the tenant sneaking through the entrance. Security is a joke and the people in the rental office could care less. Cars have been broken into and stolen. The police have been called many times about disturbances. Parking is a total pain. Speed bumps were put in right at the gate. I now have scrapes on my BMW. Last time I went to use the spa, it was broken. The fireplace by the pool has never worked since I moved in. The rent is higher than anyone else in the area and I heard from another tenant that the company is always wrongfully evicting people. OMG! The maintenance people enter tenants apartments without notice. When I asked Simone, one of the property managers why I was not told when the maintenance team was in my apartment and what was done, I was told "OH! we don't do that" and when I seemed upset about coming home not knowing if someone had been there, or having to go on a "scavenger hunt" to determine if something was fixed, she snipped "well, I guess we can make special arrangements for you!". PERFECT!
Everything looks very nice here and when we were looking, we asked about parking two cars. The answer was "you get one spot and there is guest parking" But guest parking, or non-assigned parking is very limited and you will probably not be able to find a spot at night or on weekends. There is no street parking anywhere near. The solution management offers is that when there is a guest spot available, put one care there and then you have your reserved spot for when you come back. But then you can't move the car in the guest spot, or you will lose it. You can rent another spot for $65 but there is a long waiting list and you may as well just move someplace more expensive. They seem to be aware they have a problem but they could at least be upfront with the very limited parking before you sign a lease and move all you stuff in.
This is a beautiful apartment complex. The bedrooms are very spacious and the apartment has all the amenities you need. The gym is nice and carries everything you could think of to stay in shape, it is never crowded and open to tenants 24/7. the poolside looks like something out of a hotel magazine. The parking isn't that great if you have 2 cars, unless you use your garage. If you throw a small party, they do have a club house and a business area with a poker table to entertain guests. They also have an area with 2 computers 1 made by Apple the other I believe is a Samsung for tenant's needs and an area with tables and chairs that look over the golf course. Just be careful walking on the turf because some tenants don't clean up after their pets, But they do have a maintenance staff that keeps the property very clean and running well. You can call them anytime something breaks or breaks down and they'll be there even if you're not home. You just give them permission to enter when you're not home and when you get home your item or items are fixed and a nice note with the staffs names and time are on the counter. You are also down the street from an elementary, junior high, and high school so if you have kids and need a nice well kept, with all the amenities, that also allows more than 1 pet type of apartment, this is the place for you. Overall this is a beautiful place.
The apartment itself is not bad. We have a two bedroom. The community is somewhat quiet and the staff is quite help. However, parking is pretty bad if you have more than one car. If you are lucky enough to have a garage you get two spots. One directly in front of your garage. This means you will constantly be playing musical cars anytime someone has to leave.
