Property Ratings at The Fairways
Living here was fine, but we had a maintenance issue that the apartment complex fixed. The problem is after we moved out (adequate notice given) and paid all of our final charges, we received a bill for the maintenance charges they fixed. Even though we were told they would cover it, they waited until AFTER we moved out and our renters insurance policy was cancelled to try to bill us. They never spoke a word to us about it being our responsibility to pay for the repairs until we were long gone. The maintenance men came in, investigated the problem, fixed it, told us not to worry because it is a common problem and they would take care of it. So I’m not sure how months later they can decide to bill the tenants after they are moved out. Had they brought this to our attention sooner, we could have filed it on our renters insurance they that require you to get!! In my opinion, the charges are a scam, but after discussing this matter with them, they still say “the charges stand”. Just beware and if you have any issues, make sure you have it in writing that they are covering it.

Great Place! complex is close to All the major highways in the area. Washer and dryers in All units! Newly renovated, golf course, swimming pool, gym, and the list goes on! Quick and attentive management!
We've been living at the Fairways for 3 years now. We absolutely love it there! The pool is a little small, but all of the staff is friendly and prompt. Maintenance is really helpful & almost all issues are fixed immediately. They have multiple parks to use for your children, and price ranges & options for almost all budgets & families. Pet friendly too!!! We have a 3 floor, spacious townhouse for the same price we were paying for a two floor with 1/2 the space! We'd definitely recommend living here!

The Fairways apartments and townhomes are conveniently located near transit and highway making for a relatively easy commute into the city while living out in the far suburbs. The property is well maintained and the units in good condition. We have had some serious weather events in the past few years that the property management and maintenance has had to deal with. They seemed to mobilize very quickly on repairing the damage from those events. I always get a quick response when contacting the office either by phone, email or in person. Generally a quiet, friendly community. Walkable to shopping and train station.

We have lived here for nearly 3 yrs. The Fairways is located in a country setting surrounded by a Golf Course. A nice Restaurant across the street, a Day Care next door to the restaurant. Pool is conviently located . A shopping center is walking distance but not close enough to visualize. Other areas conviently located are Lancaster, home of the Amish;, King of Prussia, a large mall for shopping; And Historic Valley Forge. We are also located 40 miles N.W of Philadelphia. Thorndale train station is walking distance providing access to multiple locations including downtown Philadelphia.

If your looking to have drunk noisey neighbors and kids right at your back door (literally, I've caught them looking in my house!) then go ahead. There is never parking close to your home (in townhouse, I can't speak for apartments). Many people sublease or have people stay with them every weekend which makes the parking even worse. The office is very slack, they act like this place is fantastic when you move in and they'll do all kinds of things to help, yet when you go to them with an issue it's rarely resolved. The pool is small. People blow through stop signs meaning your kids, yourself, &/or pets are not safe walking in the neighborhood. The trash is almost always overflowing. I thought this would be a nice place to live but i was soo wrong! I can't wait til my lease is up!
Loved living in the townhomes a couple of years ago, and looking to move to the apartments with my fiancé in the next couple months. Not located in the best school district, so if you have children I would look into that! The pricing is better than most in the surrounding areas though. From what I can remember, the maintenance staff was great and answered our calls promptly.
Not only are The Fairways located in a great spot, the staff at the community are amazing! Karen, in particular, is exceptionally good at responding to e-mail requests from neighborhood questions to maintenance requests. She even helped me out with utility billing issues I had months after moving out. I suggested this community while I lived there, and would to anyone since being there!
I will be moving in to the Fairways on April 11, 2014. I looked at a lot of apartments but I kept returning here. The apts. were clean and maintained. The office personnel were friendly and very helpful. I am looking forward to moving in.
I've lived here for only a few weeks and I can't really comment on the townhouses. There are many different types of construction that appear to have been built at different times or upgraded at different times, so make sure you see the place you're going to rent. Most apartments seem to be "older" but with more recent upgrades. All the walls have a stucko kind of texture which hides damage well... But my place was very clean when I moved in - newly painted and new carpet. Not expensive appliances but clean. My experience with the office and maintenance staff has been nothing but positive - they are always very pleasant and responsive. Ingleside golf course literally winds around and through this place which is a positive if you like golf but probably a negative if you like privacy as much of the course is really close to the buildings. The fitness room is not huge but pretty nice and the pool looks OK but I have not been. Negatives - Trash: They have a central trash and recycling center which is conveniently located but often an absolute mess! It fills up quickly and overflows so people leave their trash there on the ground and make piles. It's a big apartment complex, hopefully they'll improve this and get more trash space. Dogs: They apparently have no size limit on dogs and basically everyone here has a dog. So one barks and the one next door barks back and you listen to barking for hours.
When calling to find out information, the woman never said goodbye. She just hung up the phone. Poor phone etiquette.
