Property Ratings at The Faison Residence
I love the location and the convenience. I enjoy living here because I like what it represents and that is helping people with autism. I think it's a great idea. Very compassionate community.
I love the large one bedrooms. The bed room is huge and the bathroom. Love it.
My living here at Faison is Lovely.I love the atmosphere, the environment, the location, they're convenient to everything, grocery stores nail shops,on the bus line. My apartment feels like home. What i love most is everyone is FRIENDLY.EVEN THE STAFF.THE MAINTENANCE IS GOOD. I THINK I MADE THE RIGHT DECISSION TO MOVE HERE.I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE MY NEW PLACE.WILL BE HERE FOR A WHILE.
I've been here for 4 months in a 1 BR/1BA at $1015 a month for a top (4th) floor apartment. Overall I have to say that the main benefit to this complex is the location. It's super convenient to Willow Lawn Shopping Center, a former indoor mall converted to a large outdoor shopping plaza with a lot of good chain stores, restaurants and services. The building is right off Broad Street, which provides easy access to the main commercial thoroughfare of the city, but you don't get the feeling that you're living on a commercial corridor. The apartments are alright, quite modern and have the conveniences that I was looking for, such as in-apartment washer/dryer, a/c, dishwasher. The bathroom & bedroom of the 1 BR/1BA unit I'm in are very nice size, but the "walk-in" closet advertised isn't really a walk-in. It's a double door closet about 2' deep and 8' long with a single wire shelf/hanger bar, so be prepared to get creative if you don't have a dresser or chest of drawers. I have a Qn bed, my desk, a loveseat and chair plus one nightstand and it still feels roomy and uncrowded. If I added a dresser, I'd have to get rid of something, tho. The bathoom is very roomy and brightly lit. No power vent though, just a passive vent, so it can get a little steamy if you close the door when you shower. The apartment is heated & cooled by 2 wall-mounted dual-purpose units; one in the living room and one in the bedroom. They can be tricky to get the hang of, and management doesn't really go over their operation when you move in, just kinda leave you to figure it out. I had to go online with the model number and download the user manual to figure it out, and I'm pretty mechanically inclined, being an engineer. The unit in my bedroom has had issues a couple of times; once with a loud humming noise that the condensation pump made that kept waking me at night, and then again with it blowing warm air when the a/c was selected. Maintenance is usually pretty responsive. You will pay a premium surcharge for the privilege of having a 4th floor unit....$20/month. You will also share in paying the water & sewage, which I thought was odd and have never experienced before. It averages out to about $15/month. Common areas are kept tidy & clean. They made a poor choice in corridor carpeting, though, and it always looks spotted & dirty in areas due to the light colors, sorta taking away from the premium feel you'd expect at this rent level.
