Property Ratings at The Fitzgerald
Jenny and Carlos are always attentive to everyone's needs. Maintenance are always there 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. This Owner, Administration, and Staff are more like family that a corporate run real estate office. I am confused at all the negative comments I have read. The office always helps out Veterans that are displaced, Volunteer to many organizations and consider the needs of each individual. I have lived in Summerfield Apartments for the last 10 years without a problem. Carlos is very Military in his demenour and attitude but fair and Jenny is very laid back but to the point. To many of you are considering to move into this community Please keep in mind the following: 1) Affordable Rent price point 2) Many New things have been added to many of the apartments 3) Staff are very responsive to each tenants needs 4) Many of my neighbors have lived in this community for 8 plus years 5) They are very Pro Veterans 6) I have recommended this Community to many because I feel comfortable having my family here. Hope this review helps you with this Apartment search and keep in mind they have ample parking, Supermarket, Drug Stores, Restaurants, City Bus Stops that are literally across the street, next to our community, and in each direction of Summerfield Apartments.

REPREHENSIBLE FRONT OFFICE! Just rude, awful customer service. First time speaking with a Ms Jenny I was told their office closes at 5pm. Middle of the afternoon on weekdays I sat twice for over two and a half hours each outside the locked leasing office during the upcoming days. Nobody was there. Getting out of work early again to simply apply, the next time I arrived with application and money orders in hand it was the evening at around 4:45. I was told she doesn't accept paperwork after 4:30. I presented other options trying to make it easier such as leaving it there to be processed the following day, when she immediately became irritated and without looking up at me from her computer, rudely kept repeating the 4:30 line. Understanding her obvious negativity I moved onto my additional inquiry of just seeing a blank lease at request of my potential co-signer when I was again met with the most condescending demeanor and told I recieve that when I do my application... Dumbfounded, with application and money orders still in hand at 4:45 I tried to level with her honestly and told her the circular reasoning and her negativity was somewhat frustrating to someone trying to give her thousands of dollars. I would be happy to come back at the new* time she only recently stated and explained my frustration of just trying to verify one item in the lease- to which again I was told without even being looked at I sign the lease when I hand in my app. So I said thank you and I'd see her Monday then left accomplishing nothing. Today, I once again left work early, physically ran a few miles down Kirkman, and made it right at 4:20pm! I met with a Mr Charlie who informed me that he was present Friday yet chose not to step in and help. He said he felt that my questioning was actually illegal and they as the ultimate authority don't take kindly to politely being asked any questions. He rejected my application and thousands on site. So thank you Mr Charlie. I am a person who enjoys polite manners and professional courtesy, so do believe you obviously saved me from receiving none of those things in the future had I moved in to Summerfield Apartments.

Yes this complex is cheap, but that is all it has going for it. The management here are unprofessional and disrespectful. Half the time they are trying to give you life lessons rather than actual information. I mean if you enjoy speaking with condescending people then by all means rent here. The apartments themselves are truly spacious but have mold, and are very white walled so easy to dirty, so say goodbye to that deposit. I am disappointed because Carlos and Jenny were so nice in the beginning but told me that some of my family wasn't raised right because they are naturally shy. Here's information to know that I was told by Carlos, "Not being acknowledged is one of Jenny's pet peeves." I am sorry but last time I checked they were in the service industry, and I know because I work in it too, that customers don't care about workers temperaments, if you were able to just go off on people without consequence then you wouldn't be in the service industry, that's not a luxury for people in that sort of work. So be cautious when renting here.
