Property Ratings at The Fitzroy San Marcos
Please do yourself a favour and do not move here. We stayed here for a year and we have seen and dealt with both management companies. They both don’t care about residents and will let you rot in your apartment before doing anything. First of all, if you managed to get a hold of them, they will tell you lies all day. Want one? they lied about fixing the central air conditioning unit in our apartment for the three hottest months in Texas (May to August). They even didn’t fix it until we moved out in August and never cared about us staying in an unsafe condition while they were sitting in their cold offices. When we first moved in the apartment was filthy (pictures posted for when we first moved in) and they refused to clean it but offered us three nights reimbursement which again they lied about and never paid it. We ended up paying a professional to come and clean it because they wouldn’t let us cancel our lease. Moving out was terrible. We cleaned the apartment and wiped everything out. The office lady who took the keys back said that this is one of the cleanest apartments she received back. Well okay thank you can we get our deposit back?!. We were told that they don’t have our deposit and that we should deal with their third party company and fight them to have it back since they typically reject any refunds. Please do yourself a favour and look around for better, newer, and cheaper apartments which San Marcos has so many of them right now. Those people are a pain to work with and make you lose your dignity and patience because you can’t break your lease and move somewhere else where you are safe and respected. Don’t make my mistake and believe all the 5 star reviews that people write for “freebies”.
