Property Ratings at The Flats At Fox Hill
This place is absolutely awful. Always paid rent on time and all other utility bills. I had put in complaints about the upstairs neighbors being up till 4am everyday when quiet hours start at 10 or 11. People work and need to get sleep but in this place that isn’t happening. Oh and have fun finding parking but if you eventually do make sure you have a pass to park or you’ll get your car towed and spend around $600 to get it back. Build cheap, crappy repairs they literally painted over bugs on the wall you can see them, HORRIBLE office staff they’ll block your number if you call to much. Save yourself the energy and money.
Overall I did not have a good experience. I lived here for two years with little issue until wood boring beetles infested our cabinets. They got into a majority of our food items inside of the cabinet and our countertop, as they fell through the cabinet wooding and into our food/medication. We even had to throw away our couch and chairs because of the infestation. When I discussed this with the office, they told me to wait for three days and that there was nothing they could do. While the exterminator recommended removing the cabinets, management desired to spray the cabinets in two weeks instead and to forget about it. They also never enforce parking or clean common area policies as there is always dog remains by the building entrance. All in all if you are lucky enough to not deal with any room issues the place is tolerable, but when an issue occurs the place becomes quite unbearable.

Oh no, I am very sorry to hear about the experience you have had so far with us. I'd like to go over this matter and any other matters you may have, so we can hopefully better improve your experience. If you could call our main office when you get the chance, that would be great. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.
This was thee absolute worst experience of my life. Everything breaks on you like it’s held on with superglue from the faucet to the refrigerator handles the staff put on a great show to get you in especially Susan then you’ll never see them smile again or hear from them unless your talking to loud on your cell phone in your apartment then you’ll get a visit from the local officer. Got stuck on the pissy smelling elevators a couple times they tend to break down almost every other day.. Do not and I mean DO NOT! Go over the sound of a whisper in your home or you’ll disturb the whole floor pool never opened gym never opens business center never has printing paper hallways smell like crap wouldn’t ever recommend this place to anyone EVER!

I'm sorry to hear we haven't met your expectations. So we can assist with your concerns, could you give us a call at (412) 419-0552? We look forward to hearing from you.
Great experience until we found roaches. At first, they told us they would send someone to fix the problem. No one came. We saw them 2 more times and each time I mentioned the roaches, I never got a reply. This was almost 2 months ago and I’m still waiting.

I don't even know where to begin. Let me start by saying that I moved into this place alone and had been facing mild anxiety for some time. At first, the staff was extremely friendly and totally cool with me having a pooch. About two weeks after I moved in, my anxiety started to get worse. My brain knew that this place was not what I thought it was, even if I hadn't caught on, yet. Let's start with the staff. Upon first meeting them, they will convince you they are the friendliest people around. DO NOT FALL FOR IT. They are awful, terrible people. Once you sign that lease, they become rude and cold. They will find excuses to come into your apartment, whether you're home or not. Make sure you read the fine print of your lease. They like to stick it to you any way that they can. By the time I moved out of this complex, my anxiety was at a crippling level to the point where I could barely function and I had been harassed about my dog by not just the neighbors, but the staff as well. It needs a SERIOUS remodel. Pot holes in the parking lots, quick fixes on things like holes in the ceiling and leaking. The carpets (if you are in an apartment with carpet) are thin and rip up just by setting furniture on top of it. If they can cut corners, they will. This complex is the slum of the slums. Don't let the pretty faces and friendly smiles fool you. Awful. Terrible. The absolute worst. The only thing good about this complex is the stuff around it. Great access to beautiful Monroeville and admittedly, unbeatable prices. (They're the cheapest around for a reason.)

Hello, we are saddened to find you feel this way toward our community. Although we appreciate your feedback, we are disappointed by your characterization of our staff. We understand your frustration toward rotating staff members; however, they do their absolute best to provide excellent service, and we apologize if this was not to your satisfaction. In terms of parking, we do the best we can to utilize the space we have with the resources we have available, and we strive to optimize use of this space for our residents. We're sorry we weren't able to end your stay on a more positive note, and we do wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
I lived in building 2 at The Flats at Fox Hill for 2 years. There are several pros, but as you will read, the cons overwhelm the pros to the extent that I will absolutely never suggest living here to anyone I know. Cons: Shoddy construction of walls that makes hanging pictures and removing anything stuck to the wall problematic. Pull away one of those 3M hooks attached to the wall with a sticky thing that's you're just supposed to be away to pull away without damaging the wall and you're left with the layer of paint stripped away, the thin layer of plaster stripped away, and a nice brown surface exposed. When I moved out, on the moving out maintenance form it said that holes in the wall were normal and you wouldn't be charged for them. THAT WAS A LIE! I got a notice in the mail just today saying that they were charging me $650 to repaint the unit. I found security to be an issue after a spate of car break-ins of which my sister was a victim. In addition, I literally witnessed a drug deal happen in my hallway, and the stairwells smell strongly like weed. One of the MAJOR problems that I had at the Flats at Fox Hill was maintenance. Maintenance seemed to be inconsistent. Sometimes it was fast and efficient, but other times, not so much. In particular, I had a bee problem. There were wasps in the wall outside my bedroom window, and despite the screen, they were getting in somehow. I called maintenance and they came and sprayed twice, but they apparently didn't do an adequate job because the bees were still there. They finally died off when winter came, but I noticed a few during the summer again. Good luck to whomever moved into my old apartment! It's not fun to reach for your toothbrush and find a wasp on it. Another major maintenance problem I had was the broken fan in the bathroom. It did absolutely nothing, and there was no outside window. The first time I told maintenance about this problem, they painted the mold on the ceiling with something, which did not fix the root problem. The second time, they ignored me. Considering all of these issues, I would say at the Flats at Fox Hill is vastly overpriced and that you may have unfair fees on top of not getting your deposit back. If you are simply looking for a convenient place to live for a couple years this may be the place for you, but for someone looking for a long-term place to stay and honest renters, I wouldn't recommend it. I'm glad I left.
The Flats at Fox Hill have great apartments for those just starting out. You won't find another complex with the same amenities anywhere near the price. I commute to and from the city every day, and while rush hour can be terrible, Monroeville is a great community with all the shopping features you could need. I've been here over two years and rarely ever have anything to complain about.
