Property Ratings at The Forest Apartments
I give 2 stars because of what all has happened so far and I haven't even been here 4 whole months yet. The office staff is very nice and understanding, especially Ms Terri. Lost my job right after moving and then was in the hospital so was late on rent but they allowed me to pay what I could until I got caught up. But the maintenance is trash. There was a fire in my building about 2wks after moving in and the firefighters unplugged my dishwasher from outside to clear the smoke and it hasn't worked since. My toilets constantly get clogged up. Theres a big water stain, ac has gone out twice now. Dirty filter. They left all the boards from the baseboards on my deck and my mom stepped on one causing a nail to go through her foot. Not to mention I cleaned the carpet with a carpet cleaner I had and it looked newer and nicer than when moving in. They have yet to come fix anything other than the toilet. Its been a month since we told them amd have called about it numerous times. Oh and the cherry on the cake is that my light bill for a 2bdrm apt is almost $300 every month and has been over $240 since moving in because they refuse to service the ac unit driving my bill up. I've never had a bill over $100-$150 and I had a whole house at one point. Its currently 87 degrees in my apt because they won't come fix the ac. If I would have known all this, definitely would have chosen somewhere else to go. I plan on moving real soon. Breaking the lease is worth a better emviornment. Beware when moving here.
I've been living in these apartments for 3 years and since Martha left things have surely gone downhill first the pool gets covered up and now the laundry rooms are taken from the community with no explanation but I bet you they'll raise the rent when it's time for you to renew your lease and there's never anybody answering the phone when you call the office the staff is never there seems like south of the people who have a one-bedroom apartment now they have to Lug their laundry to the laundromat so you need to take your amenities list and remove laundry rooms cuz y'all don't have them
Great view of the lake. Plenty of space. Convenient location. Roaches, something (squirrels maybe) nest in the walls so you hear them running around at night, and the pool has been under construction for 2 summers although we're still paying for it. Also, roaches. Not just a few. An infestation. To be fair, I loved it here before the roaches. Especially the view.
Hi, first let me say I was a prospective resident, I have never resided at The Forest Apartments. I was in the market for an apartment in September 2013, I sent 2 inquiring emails asking questions about their move-in process and costs associated with living there such as the heating source and utilities. I never got a response. I checked my spam folder as well as my inbox....they simply never responded to my email. This gave me pause about considering this property. My rationale is: if they won't respond to an email, what I lived there and needed help with something more important. Needless to say, I crossed them off my list of prospective properties.
