So, about 2 months ago, there was a change in management, and it's all been going downhill since then. All 3 sections are infested with rats. I'm lucky in that I only hear them in my walls and ceiling, whereas my neighbors get them in their kitchens, in their bedrooms. Killeen PD responds to this place on almost a nightly basis. One of the laundry rooms has been broken down for a year now, and the other constantly has machines that do not work. Residents are routinely moving out in the middle of the night, and others have stopped paying rent entirely, due to management not being willing to evict. All summer long, the pools were green and unusable. Dozens of units have broken air conditioning and are utilizing small, single room window units. Packages are routinely stolen unless delivered to the office when it's open, IF staff is in there; it's so bad, the post office won't even use their own package lockers as they get broken into. It's honestly like the property management company is deliberately trying to tank this property. If the owner has any sense, he'll reach out to the old manager ASAP.
The place is infested with rats n they don’t properly maintain the apartments . My apartment stinks I have been complaining about it for months about the foul smell l coming out the ac. It’s honestly not an enjoyable experience living here

I'm only giving 2 stars because the leasing people are nice. It's been crazy since day 1 and I've only been here a few months. 1st day, roaches galore. That was fixed. Then the water was off for DAYS then every other day. Then there was no hot water. The floor is sloped in the apartment. Paint cracked and peeling. Fridge was raggedy. Stove is ancient. No screens in some of the windows and the ones that have them are bent. One window doesn't even come up. Looks like they just painted over mold. Doors are warped and dont fit the frame. The place smelles damp so I bought air purifiers and dehumidifiers. Now the AC has gone out. Gotta drive all around because the gate is always broken. I can't WAIT until this lease is up.

Archstone is definitely rebuilding its reputation. I was a previous tenant years prior and the crime rate has decreased immensely, along with the cleanliness of the property. The office staff has made my move very easy/smooth. I highly recommend Archstone not only for their affordable pricing, but their professionalism as well.

Your apartment isn’t going to look anything like the pictures that is the model apartment and the only one that look like that. These apartments are just paint over mold and damage they aren’t actually renovated. Maintenance close work orders without doing the work. I have been here less than a year and 3 different companies have owned this place that tells you how horrible it is nobody want to deal with it. It is roach, rat, and fly infested. There’s always somebody fighting here. People in here sell drugs out of the apartments. It’s always drama. The office staff is very rude and drama filled they tell people business. The only thing they do right here is collect rent. If you ac/heater go out like many have good luck with getting a new one. Homeless crack heads squat here. The pool hasn’t been cleaned since July 2022 and it’s now the end of March 2023. If you want to live in a nasty roach and rat infested, dangerous, crumb of an apartment with rude office staff who don’t do their job. Sure, move to arch stone.

I'm not giving this place 5 stars for a reason, however it definitely deserves a 3 because it has its flaws for sure, but because of the Property Managers Assistant, she really makes this place work out for me and most of my problems, she solves.

The area is quiet and the living room is spacious. However, The only apartments that look like the photo are the ones in the photos. There are no stainless steel appliances and the bathrooms and kitchen cabinets are layered in paint. They don’t close properly. Lady’s in the office are rude and cut you off when you are trying to explain your problems. Laundry is dirty, which they did state it will be redone soon. Outlets are loose and mouse droppings in the hvac closet. Shower ceiling has mold which they painted over. Very disappointed with they false advertisement of the photos and the lack of respect of the office staff. Moved in out of state without viewing in person, lease is signed and going to stick it out for the duration of the lease.
The entire staff makes you feel important. Archstone is under many renovations which can be frustrating for both us as residents and most of all I’m sure the staff. But no matter what’s going on in their day. The staff always greets you as family, makes sure your needs are taken care of to the best of their ability and if they can not take care of things right away. They take the time to explain when it will be taken care of. You’re not just important as a prospect but even after lease signing. The units are beautiful, the community is evolving and it definitely feels like home for my family and I.
After having to relocate for work on very short notice to a city I am not familiar with, I found that Lori and her entire staff were extremely helpful. They handled my entire move in process from start to finish very professionally. When I arrived my first impression of the property as very disappointing but everything on the inside was great! The staff was helpful with the few minor issues I had with my place as well as directions around town and suggestions for things to do in the area
I am pleasantly impressed with the positive changes I have seen over the last year! Management and maintenance have done an amazing job at making improvements and cleaning up the place. For years, this apartment complex had a bad reputation and was a known hot spot for criminal activity. There is evidence of this in previous reviews left under previous owners and management, however those standards are now a thing of the past, so please do not allow that to scare you, as they are severely outdated. I too was very hesitant to move on the property as this place had a horrible reputation, however let me tell you, I am very glad that I did upon doing my own research, talking to the management/maintenance, In conjunction with the new management/maintenance team, there is also a new owner who is dedicated to making this complex live up to its full potential. The apartments are being renovated, pool is being maintained, a dog park is being created, trash is no longer scattered around, cockroaches have been eradicated, and new security measures are being enforced, and much more.The police who used to visit this complex on regular basis, no longer must as the crime has considerably decreased. There is a nightly security guard who walks the premises, the gates are in the process of being fixed, and security cameras are being set up. Take advantage of this newly reformed apartment complex before there is a waiting list! I am excited to see what changes are in store for the upcoming year. Its only a matter of time before this place becomes the talk of the town, only this time in an incredibly positive way ??
I love my apartment complex! Management is great at keeping up on everything, we have nightly security! Pools are nicely kept! They’ve been doing amazing renovations and it’s really changing.
I've been living here in arch stone for about 3 years I saw the management change since the new managers took over it's been great they are restoring the apartments to its former glory the management are very professional very concerned about safety in living conditions the rooms are spacious and family oriented like I said they are restoring the property to its former glory. landscaping and all around .very quiet it's a very nice place to live overall
I’ve been a long time resident so I have seen it all. Management has done an outstanding job to be honest and fair. I heard there’s a new owner and I can already see the positive changes and remodeling. FINALLY keep it up!!!!
