Rising out of the prairies and cornfields of the heartland, Omaha serves as a cultural wellspring and economic powerhouse for the region. Downtown has seen a lot of development in recent years, and now serves up a huge selection of trendy shopping, dining, and entertainment, particularly around the Old Market; the Blackstone neighborhood has also emerged as a new hotspot for adventurous restauranteurs and hip nightlife. The robust live music scene in Omaha is one of the city’s worst-kept secrets, with national publications singing the praises of popular venues like the Waiting Room and the annual Maha Music Festival at Stinson Park.
Omaha is serious about college sports – the University of Nebraska’s Cornhuskers are hometown heroes, and the city is the longtime home to the College World Series every summer.

Property Ratings at The Frederick
This place was horrible to live in. you can hear rats in the walls I swear to god. Car got broken into in the parking lot. One time our fridge broke and it took weeks for them to fix it. The manager never did a walk through with us when moving in or moving out, then tried to charge us for “dirty carpets” out of our security deposit. This place has no carpets. When I called, he tried to double down and say we “ruined their carpets”. Although they refunded a little for that (after quite an annoying phone conversation), they still took most of our security deposit for issues that we know did not exist. When we moved in, the place was filthy. We mopped for hours and the cloths still came up black. Someone’s fingernails were in the kitchen drawers. Dirt everywhere! When we moved out, we deep cleaned the entire place. They still charged us the cleaning fee even though they never even had anyone clean in the first place. The water goes out all the time for some reason with very little notice. You can hear everything from outside and it gets quite noisy around 2 am during the Summer. Just don’t rent from here, avoid the nightmare. It is for sure overpriced for what it is.
