The Gables is a brand new property located near all the comforts of life. Our new apartments in Greenwood offer a wide variety of amenities. We currently live here and I am going to attempt to list ALL of the reason to stay away from this property, as moving here will be the worst mistake you'll make. 1. Not one single thing wrong from our move in list of issues has even remotely been addressed. Not to mention we were moved into a different unit than the one expected. Which mattered due to the layout and space change. 2. Communication is absolutely TERRIBLE, but I will go into that shortly. 3. Staff is a revolving door. There have been somewhere around 5 or 6 managers, tons of rotating agents, at least 6 maintenance workers, and the one that just hired on has already put in his 2 weeks notice due to the over 400 open maintenance tickets, and the property's attitude of just patch it and go. This place CANNOT keep employees because no one will stay here. 3. The overall neighborhood is awful. Trash everywhere, the smell of weed is 24/7 in the air, loud music and loud people everywhere. Greenwood Police is here at least 4/5 times a week. Call them and ask them what they think of The Gables. 4. BIGGEST ISSUE!!! 2+ months ago we notified management of mold in the apt. IGNORED. So we got the Johnson Co Health Dept involved and they confirmed mold through most of the apt, borderline enough to condemn the unit. There have been over 40 units with mold per Health Dept public records and at least one confirmed condemned unit. The regional manager has flat refused to address it, despite instruction from the the health dept. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!!

When we first moved in, the apartment was brand new. From the beginning there was poor communication from front office staff. We had problem after problem because apartment there was a burst water line under our until that wasn’t cleaned up and repaired properly because we continue to have problems with clogs, leaks and TERRIBLE water pressure. Two months after we moved in, the entire front office was fired along with all maintenance crew shortly after. No one ever contacted us telling us this directly, we had to hear this from the fired staff. The complex never sent us an email, left a note or anything telling us who to contact or that they were not going to be returning any messages because they were “busy”. The front office staff were our only contacts and after they were fired, we couldn’t get ahold of anyone. The company only cares about new residents and throws existing ones to the side. We waited 3 months before we could get ahold of anyone which to this day is still temporary staff who are not sure of anything really. It’s been terrible and sitting in our front room, we can hear neighbors from across the street outside talking very clearly. They obviously took the cheapest route when insulating these buildings and there are multiple nights we can’t sleep because of the loud noises inundating our apartment. Do yourself a favor and find another place to live.

Please read all of what I say and yes this is all the truth- this place is one of the worst apartments in greenwood. From the time they started to lease the apartment out they had a big meth bust here, you can ask any greenwood cop and they would tell you stay clear of this place. Further more a few weeks ago the IMPD swat team was here serving a warrant for a man that knew people here. Sure he didn’t leave here but the fact that swat and the cops had to show up makes this community not safe for anybody. Further more I have also seen lots of drug dealers going around too and lots of people smoking weed in there cars which is another reason why there is no parking you say you will kick car out that don’t belong but never have another lie after another lie. Which bring me to my next point there is no parking at night NONE you have to legit walk a block to get back to your house not safe, how can you expect people to wanna move in when you have no system to park people like what. Which brings me to my next point where the hell is the pool? There’s no pool and it probably won’t be done till next summer get it together gables you say no noise after 9PM but yet I hear people screaming and fighting and cars music and little kids screaming. How can you even consider this place safe at all? I’m about over the office lady’s too and about to call the district manager because of how bad they handle situation no one can pick up the phone even though they have 4 girls in the office, barely respond back to voice messages DONT rent here.
