I really have enjoyed my time at the real so far. Very nice staff and great location. Nice neighbors. I don't think ive had a bad experience yet here. I think the only thing I'd like to change is a new trash system rather than leaving it out by our door. But, most people do properly take care of theirs bins, its just the smell.

Closely connected to other businesses, like Central Market & Highland Village Mall. The property remains clean and well maintained by their service folks.
Great location, nice environment. Convenient to shopping and dining. Spacious floor plans and accessible parking. The property staff are friendly and monthly community events.

I love it here because I love this neighborhood. I love being next door to Central Market and within walking distance of everything I need. This is an older community, I have had to compromise quality for price per square foot. But it is a compromise that I needed and wanted to make. Aging of the building and appliances is evident but not unbearable. The pool areas are not resort style set ups and don’t have the modern convenience I’m used to, but they are clean, quiet and are not always down for repair. I love the gym, it is modern and full of everything you might need. I live the yoga room, the spin room and the game room cafe. I wish they had a dedicated team that coordinates community events but the staff do their best and everyone is friendly and attentive. Overall, I am blessed with my experience here. Like anywhere it’s not perfect, but it’s perfect for me.

Moved in about a year ago, got my wheels stolen. Property did not do anything about it. They said they would give us updates from footage, there was no updates. Dog park is disgusting, and muddy with poop everywhere. They have turf at the Essex side but they do not do it here. Tried to bring it up with them they do not care to look into it. Sinks always leaking, water smells weird. We get all types of bugs that come in, but worst of all small roaches. No matter how clean your apartment is, just expect it. The only plus side is the gym, and central market just a few steps away! Other than that, learned my lesson on renting older properties. Definitely not worth the price.
Office leasing staff is great. Sometimes there has to be multiple requests on the same maintenance issue for it to be resolved. Apartment is infested with small roaches. Water coming out of faucet has a bad odor. Had water leaks under sink, this will be the 4th time. Dog park on Gael side is absolutely disgusting. Needs turf like the Essex side! Price is just not worth it here.
I have a sunny, perfectly situated one bedroom that permits me to see all the goings on in the street. The apartment is delightfully cozy and warm for my cat and I. The kitchen functions extremely well for my needs. I can't wait to hang some art, have more plants and a little time to enjoy some leisure activities. The management takes care of any maintenance problems really quickly and the men are so thoughtful and kind. I like it here.
I have experienced the good residential support services with the Property Management. The staff are friendly and helpful… Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response. Whether it was changing light bulb fixtures, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintence quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. I recommend their property to all looking for housing.
Compared to other apartments in this city, I feel like the leasing office takes good care of its residents and keeps them informed of any maintenance or changes.
The Gael is located within easy walking distance of Highland Village and offers gate access to Central Market. The property is well-maintained both aesthically and safety-wise. Office staff are courteous and responsive. The amenities are nice.
i am in my 3rd lease here and overall, we have had a positive experience living here. it is in a very convenient and central location. most apartments have granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom. work orders are usually completed within a short period of time. great neighborhood to take walks and it feels very safe. the main downside is that because the apartment entrances are "outside", unwanted insects can be a problem, especially in warmer weather. just need to ask for periodic pest control. also walls/windows are not super sound proof so if you have a loud neighbor or live in an apt close to the street, you may have a different experience and will likely be woken up by the lawn mower on property or across the street.
This is a convenient, nice, friendly neighborhood. Everything is in walking distance. It is fun to watch the people walk their beautiful dogs .
The best area to live! Great walkability, right next to Central Market, and close to so many shops and restaurants! So glad we’ve decided to move here

Time to move! Management does a horrible job of enforcing community rules. People do whatever they want at the expense of other residents because property management is too afraid to take action and reinforce what is appropriate. Perhaps because they are young and lack experience or just don’t care. It’s too expensive here to have such low standards of follow through!!

Living here at the Gael is definitely a quiet experience compared to the rest of Houston. I don’t hear any freeway or traffic noises where my unit is located. Relatively, I feel safe here. This property is not immune to crime, but I’d say it happens less frequently than other places in Houston (that I’m aware of). The leasing office staff also is the nicest I’ve dealt with. As long rent doesn’t go up too much more (and my career remains intact), I’ll continue to re-sign my lease here!

I've been living here for nearly 4 years. The apartment is big and the kitchen is awesome, especially for the rent. The management is pretty responsive, although it took a long time for them to take a complaint about a neighbor seriously. The location is nice. The management tries to help build community, but I have not been able to make any of the events as I'm at work when they occur.

My boyfriend and I moved to Houston from across the county. We didn’t visit the apartment before the day we moved in. We had a small hiccup along the way but the the leasing office made it right. Ever since we have been so happy with the location, the community and even better our new home. Everything in our apartment is so nice and they made it feel bran new when we moved in. The community here is great, peaceful and quiet. Our absolute favorite thing is the click cafe. Not only for its free coffee, but it’s free wifi and printers.

The location is great. I like the proximity to Highland Village and Central Market. The manager is very responsive and gets things done. On the downside, it is an older property and rent is on the high side.

I would recommend this apartment only because of the location.
The location is wonderful. The apartments are well laid out. I feel safe here. Maintenance is still sub par, almost always requiring more than one visit per repair. The ground, in particular the courtyards, are in need a landscaping. The valet trash service is great in theory but far too many residents repeatedly leave garbage in the hallways, hours if not a day in advance. The pool on the Gael side is not adequately maintained. It needs to be kept clean
Logistics from office-manage problem solving has always been great. So is proximity to a gourmet market. It is a major convince.
1. Impossible to reach the office at times, the phone menu option to leave a message results in the call being dropped, or a fax-like high pitched beeping 2. Maintenance requests submitted through the online portal have gone completely unaddressed until I followed up 3. When I am able to reach the office, several times I've felt the office personnel were being 'short' with me - cutting me off, not listening, hastening to get off the phone. 4. Every week the maintenance crew blows dust through my windows & all over my patio, despite my having called to let the office know, and request that the lawn maintenance crew not blow the area by my apartment patio, as they are killing my patio plants 5. Packages are frequently left next to or on top of the package locker, ripe for theft or tampering. When I notified the office, they informed me to take it up with the mail carriers. 6. Trash is consistently spilling out and over the dumpster area 7. During the pandemic measures when amenities were closed, I was issued a warning and threat of fine for leaving my trash out at the wrong time - I would expect a little grace at a time when 90% of the amenities I paid for were unavailable. 8. Despite multiple criminal acts taking place in the Gael parking garage (including my car being rummaged through and damaged, as well as multiple residents having their entire wheels removed), when the gate lock malfunctioned on the Central market gate, there was no rush to replace the lock and ensure apartment security. 9. My bicycle was stolen from the hallway of the apartment complex (security) 10. When I called to report broken glass on the floor of the parking garage, it took over a week for it to be removed.
