Property Ratings at The Galbraith
The Galbraith is a really great place from the staff once I called and did a tour. It was so nice and clean once you enter each floor it smelled really good. I love that it’s downtown surrounded by different places.
The office staff is a lot of young sweet ladies housekeeping is very respectful no matter what time you pass her in the hallways. She’s always speaking. Good morning. Good afternoon. Have a good day. I have had a very good experience.
Overall staff was excellent, kind and caring and always willing to help !!
Cheaply built (bad paint jobs, windows are NOT soundproofed and never cleaned) overpriced apartments. I’ve lived in Downtown Dallas for 4 years, and I promise you this place is not worth the money. Be aware that your lease includes an agreement to the ongoing construction of this new building, so most complaints pertaining to this will have NO solution. Disgusting and dirty hallways/amenities and UNSAFE parking garage (you would think with the garage being private that it would be safer, but the gate is always broken). Oh and most importantly….THIS IS NOT A LUXURY APARTMENT (do not fall victim to the false narrative). Please do your research/ Dallas commercial real estate to see WHY this building was approved and opened in such a hurry. Staff rarely picks up the phone and the cost for parking is one of the highest I’ve seen in the area. This apartment is not nice enough for the rent and fees they are implementing, and that is the honest truth.
READ!! Has been a headache to live here 1. They lost my first month check and charged me late fees. I had to go down there EVERY DAY and the issue took a month to resolve. 2. Apartment constantly smells like weed due to residents smoking. Alarms have been set off at night causing the building to be evacuated. 3. Elevators are constantly going down 4. Amenities have been under constructions for months and are still not finished. Gym is not what was advertised. Pool was open one week before being closed again. 5. Any questions I normally have are NEVER answered same day. I am always told to come back another time. Emails also take forever. 6. Never received a mailbox key until months later after ME asking. Key wasnt even made so still had to wait. 7. Now a $135 parking fee is posted to my account for some reason. No answer to my email sent 5 days ago. 8. The rooms look unfinished. There are colored constructions marks, spots and what looks like holes in the ceiling? Leftover paint.Walls are matte and super easy to scuff. Some outlets do not work properly. 9. The lady has since left or been fired but even before signing she was rude and condescending. Communication is hard. 10. Leaving your car every-time to open the garage gate is an inconvenience. Especially at night. The gate is currently permanently open leaving cars vulnerable. If you want to constantly be on edge with issues this is the place for you. Apartments themselves aren’t bad but living here has been annoying if you prefer to be hands off. College apartments are better run than this “luxury” one.
I believe this property has the potential to be a good property. However, until they completely eliminate their current office staff, they will not have great success. Walking into the office and being told that they are closing early for no reason at all is not a good sign. I may not have had an issue with them closing early if that message was relayed earlier in the day that I called regarding coming in to tour. The young ladies are very rude over the phone & in person. I did not want to believe the google reviews but honestly they are pretty accurate which is very unfortunate. I will be contacting corporate to see if they are aware of how their unprofessional onsite staff is operating this new property.
My tour experience was great apartments beautiful and the staff was nice and amazing great energy and i did my application with this young beautiful lady she was amazing all so nice they are very well organized and i would highly recommend people to move in here just imagine when everything is put all together this apartments is going to be top tier to move in for downtown it’s alot of other ones but this apartments is going to be on the come up everything was peaceful and everything with smooth as a plan
I also started the process with leasing a 2 bdrm in August of 2021 with Tanya, who I must say was a complete angel thru the whole process. I completed the application process around the middle of Oct. I was looking for a two bdrm which was shown on their website as having a unique floor plan at 1300 sq ft. Late Oct early Nov. I received an email stating “Thank you for your recent application. Your request was carefully considered and is approved.” I was then informed move-ins were schedualed for late Dec. I went down in person to finalize everything and picked my unit. Towards the middle of Dec I was told I needed to resubmit my financials because of delays they had timed out. I was again approved. Because of delays the move in date turned into the end of Jan, then Feb, then March then the middle to late April. Around the 2nd week in March I went to veiw my unit in person and found out the the unit I originally had was not available becuse there were only 4 in the whole building. The 2 brdm that was offered was much smaller at 860 sq ft. So I secured that one. Less than a week later I spoke with them on the phone and was told all is a go, just waiting for date to move in. The next day I got a call from Leeshay to tell me I needed to come in and submit another application. I called 5-6 times a day and emailed every day for the next 2 weeks with no answer or way to leave a message. 14 emails and the last one they responed to was in Dec. 2021. I started setting up utilities, updating my address, etc. Everything was ready to go. Then early Mar I was ask to update my finacials again and bring the last 120 days of statements to qualify. So I did. Hearing nothing I contacted them to get an update when I was told, I DIDN'T QUALIFY AND MY APPLICATIION HAD BEEN REMOVED. They told me that they could only use Jan and Feb of 2022, of the 120 days I gave them and that's why I didn't qualify. I said that's not fair when I had done and given them everything they had ask for. I waited 2 days for my march statement to be available and took it to them so they could have all of 2022. I was told my application was denied and once the compliance offer has denied it they would not consider me again. I was completely lied to multiple times from August to April, AND NOW AM LEFT HOMELESS. It's ashame that these people who have put their livelihood in properties hands are so unfairly mistreated and lied to. Avoid this place, go somewhere else.
I started the process with leasing a 2 bdrm in August of 2021 with Tanya. Since I was in Houston the process took longer due to everything having to be in ink and mailed in. I completed the application process towards the end of November. I was told then I could get a 3 bdrm which I gladly accepted then was told the next day that was misinformation. No problem! I was just glad to be closer to having a new place for me and my 6 year old daughter. January 6th 2022 I received an email stating “Thank you for your recent application. Your request was carefully considered and is approved.” I was then informed move-ins would be at the end of the month. That turned into the end of February, then April 4th. I was told my unit number and was scheduled for 1-3PM to have access to the freight elevators. Perfect! I spoke with someone every week, throughout this process checking in and making sure I wasn’t misinformed so I could begin the move from Houston, setting up utilities, updating my address, hiring movers, putting in my notice with my current office ,etc. Getting closer to the move-in date I had it all complete, simply just waiting to see my apt on March 29th at 1:00 pm and moving in on April 4th. On March 24th I was asked by Brenda (who was super rude when I called btw) to resubmit my application and additional documents. After doing this on March 25th, I was told my application was denied and they would be withdrawing it. ABOUT A WEEK FROM THE DATE I WAS PROMISED TO MOVE IN. I called again and spoke with Keisha (who also was very rude) She continuously spoke over me yelling I was denied and she “wasn’t going back and forth” with me about it. I pray whomever sees this has a better experience with this place than I did. I was completely lied to multiple times from August to April, and left homeless with no where to live with my daughter a week before move-in. THIS HAS BEEN THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH AN APARTMENT IN MY LIFE!
