Property Ratings at The Galleria
Don’t get me wrong the space and storage options are great…but that’s about it. Maintenance is practically a joke, tbh I’m not even sure if some of them really know what they’re doing. We’ve had a a leek in our bathroom ceiling for months now and every time they come and fix it they just patch over it. On top of that we’re still missing drawers in our kitchen, and the main front doors lock is always broken. Do yourself a favor and don’t move here, the fact that they’re upping rent without trying to fix a large number of maintenance issues is a joke.

Lived here for two years. This place is not how it seems in the photos. Things you should know: 1) The apartment in the photos is a model unit that has been renovated. They have only renovated a few units, so you will most likely not get a unit that looks like that. Units are in poor condition. I've spent countless hours of maintenance on my own unit just to make it livable. 2) The front lobby looks very nice -- the rest of the building is dingy, smelly, poorly lit, and falling apart. 3) The advertised amenities are very poor and often unavailable or unusable. Pool was only open for 3 weeks last summer.

Hello, thank you for leaving us a review! We value all our resident feedback and are always making changes and adapting based on it. For any further information, please reach out to hello@avenue5.com
Bed bugs, broken glass in the hallways, doors smashed open or otherwise broken into. Management has switched hands multiple times with no improvement. Lots of cute dogs live here which I found to be the only positive. Happy to be leaving!

My husband and I have lived here for nearly two years and that first year was great. Around the 1-year mark, the building was sold and was put under new management. Our rent went up and the quality of the front office staff went way down. The apartment itself is actually very comfortable and the only complaint I have is that I can hear everything that neighbors do and say - be aware if you work nights or dislike loud pop music - especially since our new neighbors moved in down below. The communication between the front office and the tenants is my biggest gripe - lots of reminders for socials and community events, but rushed communications or none for things like office closures or maintenance updates, like when I was waiting for an update on the backed-up water in my bathtub. Needless to say, we're riding the lease out, but looking for a better-managed apartment complex.

We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a more positive experience with us at Galleria.
My fiancee and I were looking for an apartment building that could do two things: 1. Provide us with a comfortable and safe space to live, and 2. Be inexpensive enough that we could start saving for our future together. With The Galleria, we were able to check both items off of our list. The Galleria is located conveniently near my favorite shopping center, and has easy access to bus lines going all over Seattle. The building has a huge courtyard with a clean pool, well kept lawn, and several barbecues; the perfect combination for a weekend get-together with friends! There is also a great workout center that my fiancee has been really excited about, and that I will hopefully start making use of soon lol... Overall, we could not have asked for anything better in our first home together. It's clean, well-priced, and has a friendly atmosphere that makes us feel really comfortable. I would highly recommend this apartment to everyone, but especially to young couples like us whose priority is saving money. The Galleria has the best bang for your buck out of any apartment I've seen in the area, and we've truly had nothing but great experiences here.
