Property Ratings at The Gallery on New Hampshire
I am extremely disappointed with the management of this apartment complex. During the heatwave, our air conditioner has been ineffective, leaving our apartment at an unbearable 82°F to 84°F, making sleep impossible. Despite multiple emails, we've received no response. Management clearly disregards residents' comfort and well-being. The lack of communication is unacceptable. If you're considering moving here, think twice. This place has many issues; save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.
A new mouse friend welcomes you every morning. I see roaches, centipedes on a daily basis. Whatever the rent is add another 50% because that’s how much it cost after the outrageous utility bills. (Each unit isn’t metered therefore you pay percentage). Do not recommend this place to anyone.
I am writing this review because the conditions of this complex cannot be ignored any further. This place is absolutely disgustng. There is an extreme roach and rat infestation across the entire property. We have told management (old and new, since no one can seem to hold onto this place for long) that something needs to be done regarding the insects and rodents, they have done nothing. Save your time and your money. Don’t even bother coming here for a tour. There are plenty of other places who have better living conditions for the same price. They only care about your money, not your well-being. Do not ignore the reviews of this place because they are all true.
Where do I begin…oh I know. When I was lied to prior to move in that they would install a w/d in my unit. Moved on Oct 2021 consistently followed up since they didn’t seem to care and just learned (March 2022) that they were never planning on installing additional w/d units. Outside of that issue, none of the protection screens on the windows were installed correctly so I only open my kitchen and bathroom window to avoid pests. Speaking of pests…how is it that I live on the 3rd floor and experience mice?! I put in a request and the had pest control put stuff down for roaches…come to find out the building next door had roaches and my building had mice. These pests are surly entering the building through the various uncovered vents and broken windows to the laundry basement they think ppl will want to use (would you go in a laundry room in a base where the windows we kicked in) Piles of trash!!!! The trash dumpsters are far and they aren’t collected often enough. The cleaning crew honestly sucks too. I’ve walked past a Heineken bottle in a tree for 2 weeks. My co2 detector went off in December they have yet to replace it. I hate bringing loved ones here, it is embarrassing the only nice thing is if you like fireworks you’ll get it year round.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. The whole experience felt like I was not a valued resident and the rent prices do not match the quality. Firstly, when I moved in I was refused a parking permit for several months. Street parking after a certain time was near impossible and it led to over $300 in parking tickets. Eventually I was given a parking permit, why the delay I was never given a viable reason. Secondly, I was sent a package directly to my apartment but it never arrived despite delivery confirmation from FedEx. I can only assume that the package was taken from my door step, as none of the front doors were lockable even though residents were given keys for them. Thirdly, I never was able to reach the leasing office for any questions or concerns and if I did reach them it felt like anything I had to say was not worth the effort. The same can be said for any maintenance issues that I requested. Finally, the major issues faced with cockroaches reached health and safety concerning levels. I moved in and expected a clean apartment, only to arrive and see that they were still doing their best to cover up any pre-existing issues that I was not notified about. The roaches lived in the refrigerator, the oven, and the dishwasher. It was so problematic that these appliances needed to be replaced, but I was only offered a pest control agent to be sent out to me. The expert would routinely inform me that the appliances needed to be replaced. You had to pay an extra fee for pest control as well. Not only were there roaches in my apartment, but you frequently saw rats around the community and trash was regularly thrown outside of the designated dumpsters. There also was never an option for recycling. Overall an abysmal experience and one that will haunt me for the rest of my life. The only saving grace was Ty in the leasing office, he genuinely tried to make the best of the situation whenever possible. TLDR: Terrible place to live.

We've lived here for 2 years. Things got very bad when the current management company Drucker and Falk arrived. There is trash and glass everywhere both inside the buildings (trash smell and mice in my building's hallways currently) and throughout the outdoor areas. Our apartment is facing a relentless pest control issue. We've had roaches, fruit flies, ants, hornets, and seen mice over 2 years (and we keep our apartment extremely tidy and clean). The parking lots are overfilled and my car has dents and chips in the paint. My bumper was hit-and-run in the parking lot during our first year here. We we're charged $100 for depositing our trash in the area where the dumpsters usually are during the time that the leasing office removed the dumpsters (we still don't have our dumpster back and have been asked to carry our trash 3 blocks to the nearest remaining dumpster going forward). I went to the leasing office to ask for support with the dumpster issue and reprieve from the fine since we have no dumpsters and the manager cut me off by stating "Are you done? Can I talk?" and stated no fines would be waived. The trash issue has made the local news ( ). There has been loud music blasting downstairs for about one year of our two year lease, despite our multiple informal and formal complaints. We witnessed a break in a first floor apartment across the street during our first year and continue to see broken windows everywhere. A/C is not tuned on until temperatures teach above 80 degrees May, and it is turned off well before temperatures cool in the Fall. Amidst all of this, we were informed that rent prices have increased upon renewal this year. We're moving out in November.

I rarely give 5 starts but this place exceeded my expectations. The office staff went out of their way to help me with the application process. They helped me narrow down my options which were quite a few since their property is well proportioned from apartments with balcony, studios, 3 bedrooms etc. I am excited to be be close to work and the University of Maryland.

I can say this place has nothing to give me but headache and problem. Since I’ve come here, I have had one new problem every day. I’ve had problem with my AC since first day. I have had leaking. And now I am hosting mice. I have caught 6 mice so far. No one does anything. I am disappointed and mad with this apartment.

The my ac has not worked the whole number my electricity goes in and out they call themselves fixing it and it’s not done parking is ridiculous it’s nowhere to park at all

this place is infested with mice, cockroaches, and bedbugs. our stove was leaking gas and we had no idea because our carbon monoxide detector didnt work either, so we got really sick and had to call the fire department. the a/c and heating almost never works. management is terrible. maintenance barely responds to requests. our dishwasher has literally been falling entirely out of the cabinet and maintenance will not fix it. there were cigarette butts in the carpet when me moved in and paint splatters all over the floors, countertops, and appliances. our fridge also didn't work. nothing about this complex is good.
I have been here for a year and a half and I’m done. Been don’t but needed to finish out the school year and the schools suck too. Parking is outrageous past 7 pm any day, don’t invite people over unless it’s early and they can find street parking because they will get towed in a hurry past 7 pm. Moved in while it was raining and maintenance didn’t come until the next day when it was no longer raining. Told the head of maintenance we have mold and mice and he scoffed in my face (mind you I was pregnant and have two kids in the house). Told us we were getting a renovated unit and it was severely sub par. Good luck doing laundry outside of the leasing office where they have 6 washers and dryers that are .10 cheaper a load, washers and dryers in other buildings only have 2 of each and sometimes one doesn’t work. No one cares if you have work the next day telling and music well past curfew. If you value your sanity and money DO NOT MOVE HERE

I had to wait for hours to get my FedEx package from the leasing office there was one employee helping the line of renters while you can hear the other staff joking and laughing. I have been living here for a year and I can not wait for my lease to be over.
The management team does not give due notice in case of fumigation or remodeling with the use of materials that carry a strong odor.
They claim they have pest control, but nobody has ever come to my apartment. I have seen/caught 3/4 mice in my apartment. PARKING IS HORRIBLE. I’m a student with two jobs and get home late because of it, add trying to find parking for 2-3 HOURS on top of that. Regret moving here! Don’t move here!!!
