Property Ratings at The Gardens At Wesmont Station
Great place to live highly recommend! Parking is included and they are pet friendly!
This is THE WORST experience I’ve had living at an apartment complex. The staff try to make it appear as if they want to help but then nothing gets done. We’ve had issues with noise for months (banging hard enough to shake the walls!, loud music in the middle of the night) and have complained multiple times and nothing has been done. We had multiple leaks. Save yourself and DON’T LIVE HERE.
Been there 6 years and brought 2 tenants. Currently on month to month lease and gave them 5 weeks notice. I want to leave on November 6th but Yolanda wants full month rent in November while my friends who lived there with my reference was able to pay daily for extra days that they stayed. She doesn't want to give her manager email or phone number and treating us like ...

We are sorry to see your 1-Star review of our community. It is our understanding that the Property Manager did in fact speak with you and explained that our lease does not allow for "pay per day" extensions of a lease termination and that the "deal" was not given to your referral when they vacated their apartment either. Our leases clearly state that they begin on the first day of the month and end on the last day of the month. We appreciate the 6 years you have made your home at The Gardens at Wesmont Station and wish you the very best in your new home. JCMLiving Resident Services Team
If you a light sleeper do not move here . You can literally hear everything your neighbor is doing and every conversation. If you like your privacy promise you this apartment ain’t for you
Property Manager at The Gardens At Wesmont Station, Responded To This Review
We are sorry to hear that you have a concern. Please contact the on-site office at your earliest convenience to give us your name and apartment number so that we can speak with your neighbors about noise levels. We look forward to speaking with you soon. Thank you, JCMLiving Resident Services Team
The leasing and application process was smooth, the staff is friendly and professional, especially Sylvia. The entire campus is emmaculate, and the apartment is modern and very clean.
Great first place to get an apartment a variety of both one and two bedrooms available for every budget. The maintenance team is very responsive and they are very quick about any updates that are going on around the area by either text or my email. Very good 1st apartment for any first time apartment renters.
I have been a resident at the Gardens at Wesmont Station for two years and I can honestly say this is the best-run complex I have ever lived in. In the time I have lived here, the management has been constantly improving the property, adding a community BBQ area, replacing the siding, improving and expanding the parking lots, and countless other upgrades. Abe, the property manager, has gone out of his way to make sure we are comfortable here and to answer any questions or concerns we have had. The maintenance crew has responded to every request for service within hours, if not minutes, of submitting the maintenance request. They always have crew on hand to handle whatever issues may come up. Obviously no apartment complex is perfect, but I have no complaints and would highly recommend Gardens at Wesmont Station to anyone looking for an affordable apartment in notoriously expensive Bergen County.
I really enjoy loving here. The renovated apartments are really upscale and modern. My entire leasing process was extremely smooth. Highly recommend this community.

We thrilled to hear that you are happy in your apartment home and we sincerely hope that you remain with us for many years. Thank you for your great recommendation of The Gardens at Wesmont Station! I’ve lived in this apartment complex for 6 yrs and the pest control is lacking. I call maintenance and there is zero urgency to get problems addressed. The one plus of living in this area is the access to highways, shopping, & NY. Im sure most people would rather live a few miles further and not have to deal with pests living with them.
Property Manager at The Gardens At Wesmont Station, Responded To This Review
We are sorry to hear that you have had a pest problem, but want to assure you that this is one of our top priorities. We have regularly scheduled visits from our exterminator who takes care of any concerns as well as preventative measures. If this problem still persists, please contact our on-site Property Manager who will be more than willing to schedule a visit as soon as possible to assess and treat your concern. Thank you, JCMLiving Resident Services Team
so i keep on complaining to the management office about my upstair neighbors they make too much noise, i hear foot steps all the time, fighting, snoring everytime they sleep. i feel like am living with old retarded people dont feel sympathy for their downstairs neighbors at all. very pissed and cant wait for my lease to be over and get the hell out of this please.. the rent is too expensive for me to go through this
I love living at the Gardens! Great and convenient area minutes away from a commute to the city. Can’t beat 24 hour maintenance and such an accommodating staff. I would recommend this for all renters.
I have been living at The Gardens 20 years and have always loved growing up here. It is a great place to live and the community has changed and improved in many ways with the new ownership and mgmt. Its a beautiful place to live and love that the lawns are always well kept. The apartments are also pet friendly (huge plus) and recently added doggie waste baskets that are super convenient when your on your walk with your pup. So convenient for pet owners. The maintenance office/supers are always very helpful and quick with your repair request. I needed a new mail box key, and was able to get it in minutes. The ladies in the maintenance office are always very sweet and helpful. There is plenty of street parking available and they even built a little play ground for the kids of the community to enjoy. I love that I have many options of how to pay my rent, check, money order, and even online, which is super quick and easy. The mgmt team is always very king and helpful with whatever we may need (especially Abe, the property manager). There has been a lot of great changes made to the apartments and I am excited to see what else they do. Overall its a great place to live and would highly recommend to anyone looking for nice, cozy apartment!
I lived at the Gardens at Wesmont Station for a little over a year and a half. When I first moved in to one of the renovated units, I was very impressed with the cleanliness, high-quality utilities, and dedicated staff that was willing to go above and beyond for their tenants. The new management team took over just before I moved in and they have made some incredible progress towards uplifting the community and improving the grounds. It is also in a great location that is just across the street from a new grocery store and a laundromat is very much walkable just down the street. Being very close to Wesmont station also made it convenient to get into midtown Manhattan in 30 minutes. I would definitely recommend leasing at the Gardens because of the quality of the renovations, and a dedicated staff that was always willing to help me and answer any questions that I had. Abe is fantastic! I did not experience any major issues while living at my apartment and I’m excited to see the new improvements that they are working so hard to make happen.
I have been living at the Gardens for almost a year. I have a renovated unit and I love it! The management team is friendly and always ready to assist with any issues that arise. The maintenance team is quick and on point. Don’t let negative reviews influence your decision to rent here. It’s a great place to live. There is one con for me, Lodi does not keep the streets clean. Other than that, no issues. ~M.F.
Excellent Place to live! i love everything. its very quite..

I just signed my 3th lease today and I have never ask anything from them until now.I had problem with my refrigerator last week and they came to see it. I wasn't home and they left this message ' re-adjusted the refrigerator ' . My problem was my all food goes to garbage in 2 days and they just changed the thermostat settings from 4 to 4,5 :) like a joke. I went to management office and I told them I know how to change thermostat settings that's not about cooling. They told me that we gonna change it. I was expecting a new one but they sent me USED and soooo dirty refrigerator ( older than mine ). I called them again I said you guys sent me used and dirty refrigerator and they said we dont give new one we gonna send someone to check it out and call you back. They called me back and they said we checked your refrigerator there is nothing wrong with it. It's clean... Its not dirty. Here is pictures so you can see how dirty. And now I have to clean someone else dirty refrigerator by myself. Thank you so much. Look at their website, and see how looks their kitchens and look at mine. Also I asked for dishwasher which is they are offering for the new residents and I said I can pay for it.. No answer.
I am current tenant, i am leaving the end of the month, i have to break my lease with two months penalty. New owner bought the place couple months ago, since then ,this place turned to nightmare. They raised the price right away. they do not care if you have problems with heating system or noisy neighbor, they just care about the money. the apartments are very old more than 50 years old at least, the heating system makes noise when its on. the walls made of wood with no noise isolation. So you end up with bad neighbor you will suffer. Conclusion , any other apartments are better than here.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the treatment of management here. I have put a service request 3 times and so far nothing has been done except a chain of emails with empty promises. Not to mention taking time out of my day off waiting for someone to fix the issue going on. I can truly say that I don't think this is a maintenance flaw, but managements disorganization and lack of communication. By the way, don't let them fool you into thinking you'll always has heat and hot water. Once every 2 weeks the heat and hot water go out. It is a HUGE inconvenience to be home and not be able to take a hot shower, or warm up after cold winter days.
I've been a tenant here for several years and just recently transferred to an upgraded apartment in the complex. Love the style and finishes. Management is renovating the outside of the buildings too so curb appeal is much nicer. The leasing office was very helpful with my transfer so overall it's been a good experience.
I love living here.. The location is amazing as I am able to easily get to a train to NYC where I work. My apt is newly renovated and it is beautiful inside and so cozy.
I have been here for almost a year and really enjoy seeing the upgrades the new owners are doing. The modernized kitchens and bathrooms are gorgeous. They recently started putting on new siding and doors and the property is really transforming. I cant wait till they get to my area. Parking can be a bit challenging, however, they started giving out resident parking stickers and I'm told once all the residents have it, they will be able to control the parking of non residents or abandoned vehicles on the property. They also added a bit more parking and I heard they are working on additional parking areas. Rachel
I can't wait for my lease to end so I can move out!! That's how I would like to start my review. I must say that this place isn't what they say it is. For starters, you have no privacy here. I can hear my neighbors upstairs all day long and I'm sure they can hear me too. There are all types of pest that live in my apartment as well from roaches, spiders, centipedes etc... You will run into possums, raccoons, skunks and stray cats all over the property. MAINTENANCE- I can admit that the maintenance men do try their best to accommodate you when there is an issue. When I first moved in yes, there were plenty of noises coming from the heating unit that would wake my children up in the middle of the night and scare them. I will say the issue with the heating units might be fixed because I no longer hear any banging throughout the day or night. There is a new maintenance man for the boiler/heating units now because the previous guy Wilson is no longer here. I do see the new boiler man constantly working in the boiler room. I approached him with a question and he politely answered my concerns. If I'm not mistaking,I believe he said his name was "Gregory". He seems to be a serious guy when it comes to his work and didn't seem bothered by me asking him a question. Where in the past I would get a "CALL THE OFFICE" before I was even done with my question. I have made several calls to the maintenance office regarding black mold in my bathroom. They came with a bottle of bleach and then painted over it. Guess what? ITS BACK!! SMH... I have made several phone calls to the maintenance office regarding my kitchen sink and the countertop, it seems to be breaking apart because it is cheap and made of particle board and formica. Let's move on to PARKING- throughout the day there is plenty of parking. You can actually see certain vehicles that seem "ABANDONED". I've made several calls to the office about this issue and nothing gets done! After work I find myself rushing home not only to see my family but "JUST" to find parking. When it snows you'll find yourself stuck home because they do a HORRIBLE job with removing the snow. Your rent goes up every year and doesn't stop. I hope I was able to help.. GOOD LUCK!!!
Old apartments need major renovation. Mice, leaks, roaches from drains. Very thin walls can hear everything squeaky floors Loud heat. Fixing development currently must have gotten 3 flat tires so far now rent keeps going up just sidewalks are brand new but the apartments are still a dump ... Not enough parking. Slippery sidewalks during winter. Can't wait to get out of here.
I had some repairs that needed to be done and Whitney and Jonnie in the office made sure that the maintenance guys arrived timely. This was a big help since my schedule is busy and prefer to be present when procedures are being done. Abe is also very professional, and makes sure my concerns are addressed immediately. Bruce is also very pleasant and does his job with a professional attitude. I must say the last owners didn't even clear the snow in our walkways, but the new owners are on top of things. The leasing office lady is rude to residents and always looks mean- but she probably just needs a hug.
Apartments are small but overall is okay place to live for family. Their heating system is very loud. Drainage system which is very poor and often get clogged. My kitchen cabinet got wet many times because of the overflow and I was charged $350 dollar saying that I damaged it. They did inspection (Pre and after) but never told me regarding any damages to apartments. I have called many times regarding charges but they seems not to care for you at all. Just think that Your SECURITY DEPOSIT is gone and you not gonna get full money back because they charge for the stuff that they suppose to do take care of.
I've been here for almost 3 years and I wanted to move to a different place but unfortunately I couldn't find anything. I decided to move into one of the Newley renovated apartments. I was promised that if I moved on a certain date I would be refunded 400 for moving out early because I had already paid my rent in my pervious apartment. That was a lie. The owner told me he never said that and that the money "refunded" was deducted from the rent for the month of April. Also a lie. The girl in the main office also told me that those 400 dollars refunded would reflect on my May rent. In fact, they billed me for the month of April instead when I was told that if I moved on march 22 all I had to pay was my security deposit and that's it UNTIL MAY!!! They decided to change all that was said just to get me out and I ended up having to pay 279.00 just so that I wasn't late on my rent. The parking is horrible. You will NEVER find parking after 8pm which is ridiculous. Living on a first floor you can hear everything from upstairs. And the radiators turn on every night around 2 am with a loud bang noise that literally wakes my whole family up. This whole place is a joke, they are trying to fix it up but this complex can never be fixed. New owners or old owners nothing will change.

worst apartment I have ever lived in... dusty, old, and management is horrible. never fix anything - feels more like living in public housing - maintenance men are like spies that report everything back to office. Parking is a disaster -especially when it snows- residents put chairs in parking spots!!! you will be sorry if you rent here
lived here for over 2 years. place is rather small. very loud plumbing. supposed to be security monitoring the area you see them once a day if that. expect to have loud neighbors. kids playing in front of your door or near your car as if its a park. lots of raccoons during the day. office staff is pretty rude sometimes. dont even bother with this place.
I have lived into apartment for 4 years now and I can say it's nice an clean. The rooms are made up of wooden crystals.
It's an old apartment complex, they need to renovate them soon. On winter time when the heater it's on, you hear the pipes every night, like if someone is hitting them or something. The shower and toilet get clogged up every now and then. Price is alright compare to other apartments around the area.
