As you can see in all sites the positive reviews for this property go back to 2017. All recent reviews talk about the actual on-site manager, Georgina, she is so unprofessional and disrespectful. The tone of her voice and demeanor with the residents, you'll think she is the one paying your rent. The property is beautiful and very well kept, but I would stay away for as long as Georgina works there. If you rent here and happen to have an issue in your unit, she will make sure to give you a piece of her mind before the issue is even resolved. Georgina is so unique she requested to have a meeting with me to address my apartment issues but demanded I take off from work so we can meet within her work schedule. I was so excited to live in this property, but Georgina has ruined that for me. I'm now in the process of finding a new location, one that is Georgina free
I've lived at Gateway for 1 year and it's been the worst experience EVER. I've had issues ever since I moved in from broken washer, leaking kitchen faucet, and leaks in the 'living room' and the whole kitchen ceiling. They said the roof was fixed, so they repainted (which the paint doesnt even match existing paint), and the next rain storm I have more water marks. For the amount of money I pay per month, I would expect the unit to not have any issues. I was in the process of finding a home and was making management aware of my plans. I was 10 days after my 60 day renewal notice and my offer on a home was accepted. Since I had already told them I was going MTM, they would not work with me to compromise on rent. I am closing 1 week prior to lease end. They are NOT flexible. They DO NOT care about their tenants or providing any type of customer service. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GATEWAY TO ANYBODY!!!! Paradise Management is the worse management company I've ever dealt with.
I have lived at the Gateway for about a year now. Very timely maintenance repairs, they always keep the grounds looking nice. Everything was great the day we moved in. My only gripe with it here is the other residents who choose to live here and don't like dogs. This is a dog welcome facility and there are many dogs on the property. Sometimes folks will be sitting on the trail where people go to walk their dog and they are SCARED of dogs! If you don't like dogs, big or small this may not be the place for you because it's reasonably priced for a community that allows dog of many sizes so consider that!
We are new residents of The Gateway and I can say what we experienced so far. Liz and Brooke are very polite, patient and professional. They answered all our questions and accompanied us in all apartments we considered. They were very helpful in this difficult time for us. There were few technical issues and they were fixed fast, the same day by Matt. Liz remembered all my comments during the visit and I was pleasantly surprised by some unexpected features in the apartment that she ordered for us. The apartment was meticulously clean, with new carpet, newly painted. We receive regularly kind emails from the management, asking if we need help with anything. So far, I am very satisfied and I hope it would continue to be like until we leave.
I should have read this website before renting here. TERRIBLE experience at "The Gateway." We had a ton of maintenance issues that management was rude and not responsive to the maintenance problems in this cheaply built building (broken hot water heater, broken toilet, leak in master bathroom vanity drain to be specific). I would NEVER recommend that anyone ever rent here. To add insult to injury, after moving out, the Gateway management added frivolous charges against our security deposit after they denied our request for a move out inspection. For example, we were charged an exorbitant fee for cleaning the carpet but neither --------------------------------- could provide pictures of the damage. We were also charged an excessive amount to replace the cheap linoleum flooring. It was as if The Gateway management wanted to renovate the apartment but charged us for the cost of the renovation. After questioning this charge, ------------ referred the frivolous charges to a collections agency leaving us no recourse but to pay for the exorbitant charges. This should be illegal but what can you do when The Gateway threatens to send their frivolous claim to a credit agency? Nonetheless, renter beware about renting from The Gateway. It's not worth it.
I have been here for under a year and the complex has gone through at least 6 office staff and as many temporary maintenance personnel. Nothing is fixed in a timely matter or at all. I will not be renewing my lease. If you do rent here don't say you were not warned.
The Gateway is a newer, cleaner, and more well maintained complex than many of the local apartments in this area. Rental rates are competitive, and the people are welcoming. There are all ages, types of singles, families, pets, etc. The mintenance staff fixes requests in a timely manner and the office staff is helpful and available. The only drawback is that the staff changes too often. It's hard to keep track of who's coming and going. ..but otherwise I love everything!
My husband and I sold our home in June and moved to Gateway Apartments as a temporary stay until we find another home. We are so happy here....we might just stay!!! The facilities are A1!!! The grounds are spotless! The staff are very accomodating and responsive. It's an ideal place to live!

Yes I give The Gateway Apartments Five Thumbs up! A great place to live for anybody of any age. Well maintained with many amenities both here and within a short driving distance in the surrounding area. The Staff at The Gateway are cordial, friendly and helpful. Living at The Gateway gives you many choices: you can forge a friendship with your neighbors, keep to yourself and enjoy your quiet surrounding in this Country like setting, walk your dog down the many sidewalks or the trail, or even sit by the pool during summer and read a book. It's all up to you to enjoy your Luxury Home Apartment after a long day at work. The Staff at the Gateway also arrange Social Gatherings periodically like the End of Summer Cocktail Reception and the Christmas Party. So stop by and take a look. You'll want to live here!
My wife and I have found the Gateway to be an excellent place to live. It is close to everything we need and the staff is very helpful and responsive. I want to single out the maintenance staff in particular because, while we have had few items requiring maintenance, when we had an issue it was addressed most often within minutes. This is a great place to live and I highly recommend it.
We have lived in the Gateway Apartments for a year now and were happy to re-new our lease. The location couldn't be more ideal for our commutes to Philadelphia and Wilmington, DE. It doesn't hurt having a gas station, grocery store, drug store, and some of the best pizza across the street, either. Living here is easy and pleasant. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. What few maintenance issues we have encountered were addressed quickly and efficiently, even in the middle of the night. My husband and I live in a 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment (The Penn) with our dog and find it to be the perfect size. The apartment was in great condition when we moved in. The appliances could be updated, but they're much better and newer than all of the other apartments we looked at in similar price ranges. We use the gym and pool on a regular basis and have really enjoyed all of our neighbors. The grounds are beautiful and the staff work hard to keep them that way. Overall, we highly recommend the Gateway Apartments for anyone moving into the area or looking for a convenient, high-end apartment.
